The store is huge, with shelves full of boxes, so I figured was kind of self serve, but then I heard a man ask two staff members for advice on running shoes and they gave him a good explanation of differences among two brands he was considering. So they do have knowledgeable people working. I found a pair of Easy Spirit walking shoes for $4 less than zappos. I wish they had athletic socks to go with the shoes, but all they had was "fashion" socks and some warm boot socks. Yelp didn't have hours, so I took a picture of their sign.

I was persuaded into purchasing a pair and told they'll see us in 3 months when my baby outgrows the shoe. That was very bold. I won't be coming back. It was so bad. I understand helping a customer but not even being able to look or think without being influenced/pushed into something stressed me out.

With the old owner…read morethe store was always low in stock and the feeling you got when you walked in was always dark and depressing. I actually had stopped going there. NOW, The atmosphere is so fresh and upbeat. It's a breath of fresh air walking into the store and all employees are kind, respectful and helpful. Even the store manager jumps in and helps. Prices are great and you can always find a sale. The store is fully stocked at all times and if there is something they do not have all you have to do is ask and they will be sure to order it. I've had some health issues this past year that has made it difficult to walk. I need shoes that stay on my feet (flip flops and no back shoes are a no). Sadly I love these shoes and the owner has made it a point to keep watch of shoes that will fit what I need and keep them in stock. They definitely listen to what the public needs and wants and makes it a point to have items in the store. Way to go Shoe Depot, I will be a forever customer!

Shopping here for a man is pretty straight-forward. 98% of the store is devoted to the female persuasion, and the other 2% is that little brown and black strip of kickers at the back of the store--Makes it simple. Don't get me wrong-I love the store. There's usually some hip house music that makes everyone want to strut around trying on shoes like some fashion model. Now, if you go with your woman, remember these three words when she shows you a pair that she likes: "Those are cute!" I've never hear the word "cute" so many times as when I'm there. I hear all sorts of descriptions of shoes from women in there--everything from "those are two hour shoes...hmm, stripper heels." to "those are SO cute!" The sales associates range from bored to overly eager. Guess it's a pain to put those display shoes back up at a 30 degree angle. I always try to help them out...cuz I feel guilty.
