Also they're willing to help you, which can be hard to get in a card shop. I wasn't actively looking to get anything but I did find a couple wemby rookie cards that I bought. They provided excellent service by giving me space until they noticed I needed something. As soon as they could tell I needed help, a couple of workers approached me. All the staff were extremely knowledgeable. I am a new card collector, and they could have let me waste my money, increasing their sales, but instead, they pointed me in another direction. This place is perfect for both new and experienced collectors. I was able to get real value from the store through experienced workers who didn't want me to waste money on a bad buy. I visited Overtime Cards for the first time hoping to find vintage baseball cards from the 1950s and 1960s. I left with several cards at very fair prices and I was treated with kindness and respect. The new place is much nicer than the old, parking is much more friendly and available. There is also many more consignment displays which is nice. It's wide open and even features breakout rooms and some astroturf! Sadly there was limited selection on boxes which is why I took a star away. Friendly staff and decent prices make this a must if you are a collector! read more

This place is amazing. My wife was looking for a certain card, D'Andre Swift from the Philadelphia Eagles. We had gone in there multiple times but they did not have one. We went in today and Chris, who is also amazing, handed my wife the 4 cards. He had been holding them for 3 weeks hoping we would be back. What great customer service. My boys love this store, we make it a point to visit every time we come to Utah. The staff are friendly, their cards are well organized, and it always feels like we are getting a decent deal. If we ask for a specific player, they'll know where to look (I asked once for an old Bo Jackson card, and they brought out a box filled with just him and Reggie Jackson). I come in almost weekly with my husband searching for new basketball cards for my PC, and every single time every employee is beyond friendly, helpful, and engaging. As a woman it's hard to find people in the hobby that treat me kindly, but the guys at this place always ask me questions, show me new cards they know I might like, and are more than willing to help me find cards I'm interested in. Tanner and Chris in particular always go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. I love that it feels like everyone that works here genuinely enjoys the hobby, isn't just out for the money, but love collecting and sports. More than me have been ripped off from this card store. I have been hearing stories just like mine they wait till you are in a hurry then they try to sell cards that are defective hoping the customer doesn't notice so please there are MANY more card shops that are alot more reputable. If you just want cards for your kids it's fine but if you are a serious collector you don't want the junk that is sold here. I have been a card collector for twenty five years if you buy the graded cards they will be ok because you can't get into them but if they aren't graded go somewhere else please. I was visiting the Salt Lake area on business and was directed here by location and a favorable review. I arrived just before close, but the owner stayed open an extra fifteen minutes for me. Very cool. Despite being far from my home teams locale, I was excited to find that she had sorted (by player) cards for basically every team. I also found the collection of higher quality cards really engaging too (she has cases where others display the cards for sale). Broad selection of newer cards by pack or box too. Great card hobby shop with great staff! They have all the new releases of cards and have a great selection of hobby boxes for past years as well. Prices are great. Plenty of cars boxes and plastic inserts for all sizes of cards. They also have a good selection of non-sports cards: movies, tv shows, garbage pail kids, etc. I think the staff is what brings me back here, as they are EXTREMELY knowledgable about the products and the players. Friendly and accommodating. Even though I'm not quite a regular, I'm always treated well. Not my favorite thing to do but I wasn't very happy w my trip here. I had high hopes and expectations and was sorely disappointed. The older woman behind the counter was chatting w another gentleman inside the store as I was perusing her merchandise. First of all the cards have no rhyme or reason to order or pricing. It turns out that she rents display cases out for others to sell their own cards. An aaron judge donruss rookie was $5 in one and was $10 in another. After looking for a while she asked if we needed help and she said she would have helped but assumed we would have asked if we needed help. When I finally asked if she had any older boxes from the late 80s or early 90s she said that the boxes were all arranged mostly by year. My bad. She continues to chat w the customer (obviously a regular) and I had to wait for interruptions in her conversation in order to get any kind of assistance on pricing. I asked her about a case of 2013 bowman chrome and she tells me that it's thousands of dollars. I asked how many thousands of dollars and she said she didn't know but it was a lot. I then asked if she would sell just one box. She said she didn't want to break up the case because she has a group of regulars who are deciding if they want to buy it and break it up. As soon as they decide she would let me know. Okay fine, apparently I can't afford thousands and your regular customers are the only ones that matter. I then ask if she has any vintage cards. She said that she doesn't and that anything that comes in she has regulars she calls and then they fight over them. Okay, once again, not interested in helping much. Finally, there was a steph curry bowman rookie that I asked how much it was. She didn't know and said she'd look it up. I got on eBay to look it up and so did she. Mind you the card was in great condition but was not professionally graded. Previous rookie cards sold between $80-130 BUT WERE ALL PROFESSIONALLY GRADED. She quoted me a price of $130 and I said that some of the ungraded blue refractors had sold for less. She tried to show me what she was referencing and snapped when the one she showed me was a blue refractor saying she knew what the difference was. The point is she quoted me a graded card price for an ungraded card because 'she knows what condition the card is in.' Bottom line here is she doesn't care about your business if you're not a regular. She has random stuff that others use her cases to sell but there were fewer than 10 graded cards in the entire shop when I was there and she wanted to charge professionally graded prices. Not impressed. At the end I chose to buy a few new cards and left feeling disappointed. read more

Great selection of cards in the display cases that are rotated out regularly with new stuff. Prices for singles are competitive and the prices for hobby boxes are as cheap as I can find them online or on eBay. The shop is in an old part of town so the building is not very esthetically pleasing and the shop is a bit cluttered (but feels welcoming). The owner is very knowledgeable, personable and helpful. Shop hours are very limited which is one of the few downsides to the store. read more
