    Coffee shop seating in lobby

My husband calls me a "hotel snob" so it's a pretty big deal that I consider this this absolute best hotel I've ever stayed in. This hotel has ruined all other hotels for me. The ambieance is amazing with the most adorable restaurant/lounge in the center of the hotel ( I did my best to sit on all the adorable couches). There are multiple restaurants and a great coffee shop attached to the lobby. I have to say that the staff here act like they genuinely love working here. Everyone is so nice and friendly and trying to help make your stay better in every way. Leti (spelling??) is an absolute doll and that hotel is lucky to have her. What got us here? Hearing about the FREE mini bar ( no liquor. But still.) And free snacks in your room. How amazing! The rooms are adorable and each one is unique. The beds? amazing. All in all, I wish there was one of these in every city and I could never stay anywhere else ever again.

Potts Point Liquor and Deli's strength is their price range is much broader than Bottega Del Vino's offering more mid range product as well as the higher end lines. So it is handy for those of us who need to stay conscious of our credit card limits, yet still want a nice bottle of wine. Potts Point Liquor and Deli have impressively offered a range of organic wines and they also run their own cellar club. Regarding the deli side of the business, the main attraction is the Bangalow Cheese, which is sourced from the Byron Bay area. This is delicious award winning cheese and they have an array on offer.

I lived around the corner at the time and they couldn't believe you could have such a lovely wine store, deli and cake shop all rolled into one just five minutes from your couch and waiting glass. While my parents' enthusiasm might have been a little over the top, they were absolutely right about this shop's awesomeness. They've got a great range of handpicked boutique wines (including organic drops), a full deli section with imported cheeses, olives and dips, and am amazing cake section with individual portions of all kinds of amazing treats.

Smaller than expected and a bit dated. Bathroom was very cramped with little storage space. Comfy bed and very clean though. Service - honestly, outstanding. Room service was very quick, well done and delicious. It was such a fun place to stay! Our room? It was a little on the small side, but had nice views, was impeccably decorated, had a great bathroom and was spotlessly clean. Then, there was the location. It could not be better located . . . right across the street from the Circular Quay/Main Harbor. The Rocks nightlife area is a block away. The famed bridge is a few blocks beyond, and the Opera House is a fun 5-minute walk. The shopping district is an easy 2 or 3 blocks in the opposite direction. You absolutely could not ask for a better location. There were two slight negatives. First, the pool deck really feels like you are wedged up on a rooftop. We thought it might be a nice place to have a cocktail and view the skyline. For whatever reason, it has not been configured that way, although it seems to have spectacular potential. Our big criticism, though, is that we were there for 4 nights, over New Year's Eve. It was our first visit to Syndey, and the NYE fireworks have been a bucket list item for us. Anyway, the Four Seasons charges a huge premium for their "New Year's Eve" package. We obviously didn't mind paying the premium BUT, other than the room, you didn't actually GET anything for this "package." We had absolutely no idea where to view the fireworks, how to get into the viewing area, what the program was like, what time to go, etc. etc. There were 1.1 million people there. It was mobbed. It would have been nice for the Four Seasons to have had a little guide for their NYE Package guests. At the very least, the concierge should have had a little tutorial, rather than just vaguely waving in the direction of the harbor.
