He ended up offering me a delicious cup of coffee from a place nearby. The cut was flawless. Excellent attention to detail. It was exactly what I wanted. Used a straight razor to finish the back and shaved my neck and trimmed my eyebrows (old man eyebrows). This will be my go to place. Also, unlike high point, you don't have to wait a month for an appointment. They typically have openings within a day or so.

I have been visiting Fadez and Bladez for years. They have three locations with Mechanicsville…read morebeing the original, then a Midlothian location and now Glen Allen. I have visited all three shops. All three have amazing customer service and great barbers. Before the creation of Fadez and Bladez I knew the owner at a previous barbershop. Chelsea has built a great business and continues to find ways to give back to the community as well. This review from here is concerning the Glen Allen location only. The store is very clean and they are constantly cleaning after each client. Today I had Chelsea the owner cut my hair, she is phenomenal! I always try to get mine cut by Chelsea however I have had multiple different people cut mine and I can say I have never had a bad experience. The service is always very professional yet very friendly and always engaging in conversation. They love to know where their clients work which always helps them remember their clients and to have general conversations. To quote the cheers sound track "sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came!" Despite having three shops there is still a small town family feel to Fadez and Bladez. They love law enforcement, firefighters and military members even offering discounted prices for all first responders. They can use balding shears for those shaved experiences or if you prefer they use straight razors. They are not just a barber shop for men but they do women's cuts as well. After your cut you can even get your hair shampooed with a hot steam towel for your face. If you haven't gotten a haircut at Fadez and Bladez you're missing out.

Overall, I'd give them a chance for simpler styles, but I'd hesitate to recommend it for a quality polished cut for the price. Here's hoping they can refine their technique in the future, especially: Even Length: The hair should gradually decrease in length from the top down to the nape of the neck, with no noticeable lines or harsh transitions. My brother came across Raymundo's Instagram page once he got back from basic training and flight school. He's a little more care free and risk tolerant than I am when it comes to appearance so I let him be the guinea pig for a couple of weeks before I tried him for myself. I was reluctant at first because Raymundo is of Spanish/Latin American decent and I'm African American so I wasn't sure if he was skilled and familiar with cutting my texture of hair. But I must say, the kid got skills. Not only is he good with the clippers and listens to direction well but he's also very engaging and easy to talk to which is essential when choosing a new barber shop. He also looks out with his or candy when he has it to offer. The shop is always kept clean and the other employees are cool as well. I usually go and get my haircut in the middle of the week during my lunch break when it's not busy. They take walk-ins and appointments so it shouldn't be hard to get into a seat and get a cut. There are also TV's and WiFi to help with your wait if you end up having one.

Haircut was $15 dollars and customer service was priceless. $10 Wednesday special. (Came in on a Tuesday).
