But then they hand you over to the corporate folks and the customer service is terrible and the equipment doesn't work half the time, but they won't work on it without an additional fee and then they always tell you you need new equipment even though you're still paying for it. After five years, I've constantly having issues, I finally needed this system to work for me when I got Pranked one day. Of course it didn't. What if I've been paying all this time for? My best friend has ADT and I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna go with that Service and stop wasting my money on Vivint.

So, called Vivint on our vacation and they asked us to disassemble the alarm pad, remove the battery for a hard reset, and then reboot the entire system. Umm, I'm on vacation you dummy, how in the F am I supposed to do that?? Have my house sitter do it?? Lol give me a F-ing break. A "tech" company that we pay monthly should be able to reboot the system for the astronomical monthly price we pay. Their "fix" didn't fix anything (shocker) and I told the house sitter to jerk the panel off the wall.... Problem solved. We don't feel safe with Vivint and we advise any users to cancel immediately. Posted the project on Yelp, and had several responses. None but MaxTech actually came to visit and do a site survey so they fully understood what needed to be done. MaxTech was not the least expensive, but the only truly responsive and responsible quote. And, having Max here on that visit gave me total confidence that MaxTech would deliver on their promise. And MaxTech *did* deliver, on the day they promised, and for the price quoted: four cameras, running Cat-5e in place of previous powered coax, integrated into our new Vivint-based system.
