My daughter called from Oxford to tell us that her oil light came on - during Miami finals week, no less. We live in CA and she is coming home on Friday. I called and left an after hours message for Candace last night asking if she could fit my daughter's car in for an oil change today. Jeez. Where do I even start! If I could leave zero stars zero out of 10, don't go I would!! I came in, knowing I needed tires, an alignment and possibly a tire rod replaced. Fast forward I come in. I get all four tires replaced and alignment done brakes rotors all totaled up to 1200. Okay stay with me now a week later I'm having these awful squealing grinding sounds in what seems like my brake pads, I call because I drive a lot. My car is mainly highway miles. I travel for my job. I am driving to Columbus every single weekend!! I call and asked to bring the car in. They tell me to bring it in and they'll check on it. I'm pretty sure whatever dude owner that works there proceeds to hop in my car without me and drive off, he's gone for about every bit of 10 minutes and when he pulls back up, I can smell this awful burning smell almost like a burning metal and I even at one point cracked a joke and said dang did you take the car somewhere and fix it real quick? Everyone there proceeds to make me seem like I'm crazy and act like I'm not hearing anything and whatever he did only got me five minutes down the road before it was 10 times worse than what it sounded like! (pretty sure he sprayed it with some type of break grease or something because he continued to also say we can just spray it with some spray and the squealing will go away) to then to tell me that they are aftermarket brakes and that I should've confirmed if I wanted dealer or aftermarket when that was never even an option! So after me cussing everyone out and pulling back up to show them what I'm hearing, they proceed to make another appointment the next day to then order dealer brakes, and who knows if those even got put on. Fast forward to today I go to get an oil change and they proceeded to tell me that all four tires are excessively overfilled! I definitely will never be going back to this place if I could give the most negative review possible I would! I even seen a few negative reviews about break issues and I still gave them the benefit of doubt && trusted this place and went. Shady , I bought car from a friend of mine as a secondary car. She showed me a stack of receipts for probably $7000 and all the receipts were from this particular shop, but it started to make a noise I looked. There was no oil in it. I said maybe they forgot to tighten something up. She called and they put it right on the lift , told me the car was excellent and down the road I should fix this particular thing but tightened it up and it's OK. Well it wasn't within 24 hours. All the oil had leaked out of it again so they basically just told us what we wanted to hear to get us out of there after she spent probably 7 or $8000 with them, just be careful when you go here and I can only speak for this one time , I'm not from the area but I seen the look on their face when we all showed up and asked to put it on the lift , he was very uncomfortable. i'm in the car business so I know exactly what goes on there and charge 200 a hour.. but guys like that make it tough for honest guys they tell people what the need to fix there car maybe it was just an off day but this was my 1 experience there read more

Cost was $300 an hour + parts and took a week to fix a starter. If that's where your standards are this is the place for you.

My daughter goes to school at Miami, and when she was going back after the holiday break, the check engine light came on. There was also a loud whirring sound and the indicator for low coolant came on too. I have a great auto repair shop I take all my cars to in our hometown and was pissed about the timing, since she was home for more than a month. Like most parents we want our kids to be safe when they are away at school and make sure their cars are running well. I looked up auto repair in Oxford and found Oxford Car Care and they had the best ratings, not just on Yelp. My daughter made an appointment and told them what was wrong. They were extremely friendly and nice and just like my auto shop back home they are honest and do a great job. I'm glad and really grateful that they are there near Miami, it should give a lot of Miami parents peace of mind. read more

Dave and Candice are the BEST!!!! I work at the University and they let me drop my car off in the am, bring me to work and then call when my car is ready. I was having horrible issues with my car over a period of two-three months. Instead of bleeding me for money, they were honest with me and said they didn't know what the problem was. Come to find out it was a bad gasket head and I needed a new engine. They treat me fairly with pricing and honest. I feel like my dad is taking care of me and my car!! Oxford Car Care is amazing! I've gotten my car serviced here several times, and each time, they have been very friendly and helpful. I trust them for all my car issues, and will drive 35-40 minutes from Fairfield just to get my car serviced here. They are also very honest and trustworthy when it comes to pricing. I have had multiple car repairs done at this shop. The first was my boyfriend's 2007 Honda Civic that had the starter go out. It was only $260-$270 to get that done when everyone else quoted us $340-$480. They then did an oil change for me. They offer three different levels of oil changes to help those that can only afford the least but still accommodate those that want the best. The starter is now over a year old with 20,000 miles on it and doing great. They did a tire for me and it is doing awesome. And they also fixed my shield plate for under my engine. Got an oil change done. They quoted me 40 to 45 bucks over the phone. When I picked the car up the car up the total was 63. Apparently the quote was just for the oil and didn't include the filter and waste removal. Would of been nice to know up front. read more

I've done business a few times with Oxford Car Care. I live out of state. Most recently during an especially busy time in town with students moving and renting Uhauls, my tire pressure light went on. Oxford Car Care took my car in to check out the problem despite the fact they were very busy. Thankfully all my car needed was air in the tires. They took the time out to look at my car and they never charged me! read more
