A tad drizzly on Oxford Street, Londoners still very polite and proper;) Ta!

"I've always loved life, and I've never known what's ahead. I love not knowing what might be 'round the corner. I love serendipity." - Twiggy (London Icon) Oxford street dates to the old Roman Empire, pre-dating the Tudors, the Windsors, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Markle. It's quite a historic London street. Of course Oxford street resembles little of the chariots and peasants that walked it in centuries past. Today, it's filled with retail shops, restaurants, and tourist traps. It is also considered the busiest street in all of Europe. Oxford street is home to several British flag ship stores, for example, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, and the iconic House of Fraser can be found here. As well as the legendary 100 Club (Home of the Sex Pistols). London College of Fashion has a campus here too. For me, I enjoyed browsing several of the fast fashion stores like Top Man and Primark. I stopped at Boots for necessities, I especially loved the look of the young British bird with Twiggy eyelashes at the reg. My heart! All in all, I enjoyed walking Oxford street. Yes, it gets crowded, but everyone's headed somewhere. Everyday is a new day on Oxford street, come rain or shine. Just glad the King no longer shanks for coins anymore. Ta!

Oxford street is one of the most popular destinations for tourist to shop on this long block. It's easy to navigate and you can spend a few hours around if you want to buy clothes from London. I would say I went to almost every ladies clothing store to look for some spring dresses. I found a few and was pretty happy about my purchases. Yes there are similar brands that they have in America but they also do have a few brands I haven't seen in USA. Overall if your not really a shopper this place probably isn't for you and you could just skip this place. The kids also didn't really enjoy this place because it was just mainly clothes, shoes, makeup stores, and not a lot of food choices. But this place is easy to get to by subway or if you want to take a taxi here. Tip- I really enjoyed the Marks and Spencer location on Oxford street it is quite large and carries a lot of variety!

Oxford Street was a lot of fun! I'd definitely go back again, if I ever visit London in the future. It's surrounded by brand name stores and restaurants. Also, stores were huge with great selections. We enjoyed it very much! A "must go" when you're in London.

This is a great street to do some shopping. Or at least window shopping. Yes, it is a busy street, but the sidewalks are quite wide and mostly you can pass each other easy enough. We travelled with our dog and it wasn't a problem. There are lots of shops of course. Mostly bigger brands and chains. For some smaller and independent shops you should head elsewhere. Marble Arch Station is a good spot to start the walking tour. From there just head towards Oxford Circus. You may continue more east from there or head south on Regent Street to reach Picadilly Circus. If you really wanna enjoy it, including shopping, that easily takes half-a day. Some of the bigger stores are surely Selfridges and M&S. Both worth a visit, especially on sale season. For some more simple, but low-priced fashion head into Primark. If you get hungry during your shopping, there are lots of the usual chains everywhere. We enjoyed our time here very much. Yes, most of the stores you'll find in other cities as well. But it has charm, this street here. A lively, buzzing part of London.

House Of Fraser, Oxford Street If there's one thing I insist on when I'm shopping it's great customer service ! I went to House of Fraser on Oxford Street. I headed over to the Estee Lauder counter to pick up the Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator. My assistant was the lovely Emily, who was a great representative for the brand. Smart, but not overly made up and she seemed genuinely glad to help me. She had great product knowledge and when I asked for some samples, she instantly customised my experience by asking my skin type and what I was interested in. A really great customer experience for me. Next, I moved on to the Cover FX counter, directed by another good assistant on th Benefit counter whose 'erase paste' concealer range unfortunately didn't run beyond a rather green looking beige. I'd heard of Cover FX before and seen it when it first launched exclusively at Harvey Nicks, so I was curious to see what it had to offer me. Zoralia was was great. She ran through my skin type, every day skin care regime and then as well as general product knowledge, highlighted exactly why Cover FX would suit me. She expertly removed my existing warpaint and made up my face half in foundation the other in concealer, so I could see the difference in coverage, before finishing me off with a dusting of mineral powder. She priced up all the products she used on me and when I decided to just take the foundation, there wasn't any of that sour lemon face you sometimes experience from some sales assistants when you don't buy everything they recommend to you. As well as my foundation, she gave me a sample of the skin primer and a look card which included all the prices of the products. She was personable, professional and really made me look and feel great - something money can't buy.

For any one of my friends traveling into London I always recommend veering off a little to Carnaby. Over the years some shops have come and go but some of my favorites remain open. I'm a huge Great Frog lover and their shop is nearby, also for us rock n rollers I can't help stopping into The Rolling Stones Uk store. Lots of major branded stores but also cute local vendors and stores. It's a very walkable street and safe. Plenty busy so come earlier in the day to beat the crowds. Another pro tip is catching a reservation at dishshoom down here as I've found it easier to snag a reservation here than at their other locations. Plenty of dining options though and local stalls like Starbucks and Joe & the juice. It's a touristy street of shops but I love it - definitely bookmark this area on your must shop / see list when on this side of town.

In relation to Selfridges' clothing section upstairs, the signage for the sections was poor and we ended up having to ask where the swim area was. Everything was £80 and up so we later ended up going to Primark since it was a little too rich for our blood (DH constantly loses his swim trucks when we travel). All in all, I was glad they were close to our hotel and the food hall definitely gives the nearby Mercado (which was our goto last year) a run for it's money.

I called in here to grab some food before getting the tube nearby to Wembley Stadium, there was a decent range of shops and places to eat, including brands such as Superdrug, Starbucks and Nandos', and a Waitrose store. Other stores here include Sainsbury's Local, Boots and 3, or if you're feeling hungry there is also the likes of itsu and Gourmet Burger Kitchen, the latter I only found out about after leaving it appeared to be hidden in the centre - shame! The entrance to the centre up a ramp which soon converted part into chairs looked quite dangerous, for me it looked like an accident waiting to happen with no clear lighting or signs to show it, which is why I can't help but wonder how this part of the building passed health and safety, which I can only guess is there down to it being grade II listed. A small selection of shops and places to eat and drink in decent surroundings, slightly quieter than getting something perhaps inside the Euston Station (or the square outside), and perhaps somewhere easy and nearby to go ahead of grabbing a train so it certainly is worthy of a solid three-star rating.
