Kaiti seemed knowledgeable and the process was fairly easy. We made our original purchase on 12/27/25 and were told they would be delivered in about 4 weeks. Well, 6.5 weeks later on 2/10/26 they were FINALLY delivered. KraftMaid seemed like a good quality cabinet but their manufacturing needs major help. We had TWO different cabinets that only had shelf holes on one side. One cabinet with a HUGE scratch on the front frame. One cabinet didn't have the drawer face connected and was sent separately without the proper hardware to install (it wasn't just simply screwing it in). One cabinet that had the wrong door swing. One cabinet the shelf holes started at 7" from the bottom and the other side 7.25". Makes great for level shelves. Finally our end panels for our island were ordered too thick so they would stick out. We went back to Hood's with the list of problems and Kaiti was very apologetic and said she would have everything fixed. We had already installed the 2 uppers without the shelf holes because we didn't notice it until we went to put the shelves in. She said since we did that already she wouldn't order new ones and instead give us a discount. We were ok with that. She also said we would get some sort of reimbursement for the other issues as well, she just needed to contact KraftMaid. Moving forward, the upper cabinet with the large scratch was reordered along with the end panels. She said expect them in 3-4 weeks. This was on 2/18/26. We did not receive the order until 3/26 which was a whole fiasco in itself because they wanted to wait until the following week because they didn't have delivery drivers. Luckily, someone outside of cabinets, I think his name was Matt and the only helpful one at Hood's, got my call and personally picked them up from the local warehouse and delivered it to us. He was awesome. Here's the next best part, Kaiti ordered the WRONG end panels AGAIN!! We're going on 3 months now from our original order date. We go speak with the cabinet manager, Randy, and told him everything. He said he had talked to Kaiti about giving us some reimbursement but she never followed through. Her communication skills were terrible. They only thing she kept relaying is that she gets to retire in several months. She should have retired before we purchased our cabinets. Anyway, Randy only offered us a reimbursement of $250 after spending over $14k on our cabinets. We finally got $500 out of him. Should have pushed for more but we were fed up at this point. He went ahead and ordered the correct end panels and said he would have them expedited and we should have them in no more than 2 weeks. Ha! Ha! This was 3/26 and our end panels finally arrived on 4/22. We will NEVER return to Hood's again. It was an absolute shit show. Almost 4 months for all our correct pieces to come in.

He drops patronizing comments around like crumbs from a donut. I imagine he's the sort that if someone tried to address it with him, he'd avail himself of responsibility because women are "over sensitive". I went in on Friday 11th August to inquire as to whether they could find a box of 4" X 3/4" Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba) flooring to finish about 15 square feet, which I am short. They took my name and number and said they'd call if they found some. About 45 minutes later, they called me back to say they'd located some. "Come on back in and we'll get that ordered for ya." Since I was already on the phone, I asked if he could take my credit card details so I wouldn't have to make the trip out there a second time. He seemed irritated and unwilling to do it, but I managed to persuade him to take my details, and remained generous and polite despite his dismissive tone. "Ok -- I think we'll be able to get that on the truck this afternoon for you." The following Wednesday (15th), I still hadn't heard from them. Since he hadn't issued a receipt or confirmation email, I checked my bank account to see if the payment had gone through. It had. Since nobody had called and he'd said the wood would be on the truck Friday, I figured it'd been plenty of time, so I went to the store. It hadn't arrived. The guy once again seemed harassed and irritated by the inquiry, refusing to make eye contact, and remaining slumped over his paperwork and computer screen, which were turned away from me. Turns out they didn't have it in the warehouse and they couldn't get it easily. He'd have to order a box from somewhere in New Jersey -- for which he explained I'd need to pay an additional $60. I wasn't willing to do that. I asked if he'd considered calling to communicate. He immediately wanted to talk about refunds. (!) Since I'm on a tight schedule of building, I suggested instead that if they normally carry 3&1/4" or 5" Jatoba, I could get my sample from the car and we could see which of the two would work best. When I came back in, his demeanor had shifted and he was suddenly friendly. It was clear that the 3&1/4" would work, I was willing to just move forward despite his inability to comprehend that I didn't need classes on how to install flooring in a house I'm building with my own two hands. Turns out they didn't have it in stock. It was going to take too long to order, so he offered a refund, but was unwilling to issue it directly to my credit card because there's a fee attached, and they normally issue checks to defray the cost. (!) Not long after I left, they called back and had located a box they could get to me the following day. It was a bit more expensive, but they offered to eat the cost, so I thanked them and moved forward. I showed up to pick up the wood first thing Friday morning the 18th -- a full week after first starting this and being promised different things that they couldn't deliver on. They loaded it in the car and sent me on my way in less than five minutes. At a stoplight, I looked down at the label on the box, which was poking through the seats. It said 5" Tiger wood. I called and told them that I was DONE, and they'd be issuing me a refund directly to my credit card right away, which they did. I was about 10x more rude to them than I would ever normally be. Ever. Naturally, they said that this "never, ever happens". And I'm really not proud of being so rude to them in this, but come on. They could've communicated or treated me with respect as a customer multiple times. Not only that, but if you've had a difficult interaction with a customer, you'd think it'd be in your best interest to double check the label on the box before it reaches the customer. So yes, it's the warehouse's fault for picking up the wrong box, but it's THEIR fault for not checking the box before following up with me. Additionally, being an empathetic, responsible human being in interpersonal interactions is not a super difficult skill to learn, and it goes a long way. Their mistakes have cost me over a week in wasted time, effort and energy during a tight building process.

They came out and made a template for the countertop and set up an installation date. They came out on a Friday afternoon and proceeded to install the countertop. Problem was that it did not fit.So instead of halting the install they proceeded to try and force this countertop into place. Tearing up my drywall pretty extensively. Not small nicks and scratches but huge deep gouges. This damage goes all the way up 21 inches from the countertop while they tried to force it in at an angle. They then removed this countertop and took it outside and used grinders on it to remove the excess material. Then they reinstalled it tearing up more of my drywall. This damage is going to require a significant amount of repair work. Including mudding, sanding, taping, priming and painting. The lead installer then told my wife "sorry about your walls they usually give me more space but this time they did not". When I got home I was shocked at the amount of damage to my walls. I went to their office the next morning (Saturday). I was told someone would get back to me Monday. I was not contacted by them for a week and only after multiple emails and phone calls from me. They said that they would not be doing anything for us because we didn't contact them within 24 hours. We did. They are hard to get ahold of once they have been paid. I left a review on another site and they finally replied to it with lies and deception. They replied that somehow we added drywall after the template date. That's ridiculous, would anyone in their right mind hang thousands of dollars of cabinets and then try to drywall? The walls are the same as when the house was built in 2002. I am the original owner. They then claim to have photos of this I would love to see these non existent photos. They then proceeded to deceive everyone by stating falsely that the owner came out to my house and dealt with me personally. No representative least of all the owner has ever been to my house besides the installers and the template person. Reading other reviews about this company would expose a common pattern of dealing with anyone who has problems with them. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for granite or stone even if it costs more.
