We visited town for a few days from SD for Cowboys Training Camp, and lucked out by meeting the coolest cabbie ever when we got off the train. Manuel was very cool about letting us know that it was a $5 flat fee to our hotel, but if we wanted to stop by the liquor store as we'd requested, then he'd have to run the meter. We were of course fine with that, and appreciated his honesty. For the next several days, we called him whenever we needed a ride to the training camp, the salsa festival, various restaurants, bars, etc., and he was the epitome of customer service. He showed up exactly when he said he would, was courteous, gave us info about Oxnard (we'd never been there before), found some tourist pamphlet stuff for us, recommended restaurants and nicely warned us away from one we wanted to try but he knew had a really horrible rep with the health dept. At any rate, if you need a cab in Oxnard - you've got to give him a call. Manuel's direct number is 805-509-9274, and his dad Gabriel (speaks mostly Spanish) is at 805-844-5739. No one picked up incoming calls, so we had to leave a message each time we called. No one called back for about a half hour, and they were busy and couldn't pick us up for an hour. We also called AD Taxi and Rosie's Taxi, now defunct in the bristling Oxnard taxi business. We finally got Gold Coast Taxi to pick us up. I would call that two stars for Elite Taxi, wouldn't you?

One of the days that we were in Palm Springs, we tried to call an Uber to go to few places and there was no response from Uber. We went back inside our hotel, to find out what's taking them so long? The guy at the front desk didn't have an answer and handed me this business card and told us to call them and they will be very helpful. So we did. Rosie's taxi arrived in front of our hotel in less than 20 minutes. Jessie, the driver of the black Prius, came to open the door for us to get in. He was a very kind, helpful, and a safe driver. The car itself was in a good condition. Inside and outside. Very clean. The dispatcher who I believe is also the owner of this company, was very knowledgeable and knew his way around very well. We did ask few questions beforehand. They travel all around California. From the airports, to hotels and wherever else that you need to go. He even offered us the business card and told us to call him back once we were done with our side seeing, eating, etc... and he will come and pick us up. Open 24/7. They accept most credit cards, and I don't know about other method of payments. For 2 hours, he charged us $45.00. One last thing, they checked on us online, via text, and on the phone to inform us about the ride..very content and satisfied not only with the driver, but also with the company.
