I am not using this service, but wanted to provide a review of my experience. I wanted to make a reservation to go to LAX in a couple days. They actually answer their phone and the man on the line was extremely professional. The only problem is that their website says they have a flat rate to go to LAX. I was told on the phone it was not a flat rate and it would be around $230, but it depended on wait time, traffic, etc. from just off the 101 in Camarillo. This is twice or more than twice other shuttles or car services and on par with a limo or exec car service, which I don't need. I just need a dependable and on time ride to the airport. With uber and lyft being completely unreliable these days, it is nice to have a good 'ol fashion taxi! Skyline is that taxi service!! I called from mid-Ventura and requested a ride to Oxnard. Person who answered was very polite and professional, and advised me of ETA, which was less then 10 minutes. Our driver was a young lady. Arrived quickly and had us on our way. Skyline Taxi offered a good and bad experience for us...here's the skinny. Our driver was nice, but he often got lost on our trip. We asked him to pick us up at a restaurant and he went to some other place. When he arrived at the wrong location, he called us to say he was waiting outside. He was not...because he was at the wrong place. It's cool...we just had to wait a little longer as he left the wrong location and made it over to us. When he finally made it over to us, he apologized and said he would comp our trip, but we insisted on paying him for the ride. It was an honest mistake. We asked him for some recommendations of fun bars to visit on a Friday night. He dropped us off at Pirates Grub and Grog. It was an entertaining experience and for that area, a good recommendation. There isn't much else going on. Hahaha... We really liked the driver, so we called him back to pick us up from the bar and take us to our hotel. He picked us up and drove pretty fast, which was great, but he drove us past the hotel, because he forgot where he was going. Needless to say, he didn't stop the meter as he drove us back to where we were supposed to go. That trip turned out to cost more than it should have because he drove past the hotel, so that kind of sucked. At least he was a nice guy and the cab smelled pretty clean. I would rate our experience as okay...he was a nice guy and he drove fast, but he got lost twice in one night. read more

These folks know about 'customer service'..... Before finding Skyline Taxi, I had made a reservation a day ahead of time, to be picked up for a ride to the train station with another cab company. I was clear about the time of the train arrival and even though I only live a few minutes away, I wanted to have enough lead time (half hour) to get there because many of the roads would be closed for a road race being held at the same time. Sure enough....the reserved cab was nearly 20 minutes late. About 15 minutes into the wait I decided to call them. Their answering machine announced that all cabs were out of the area, and to call Skyline instead, which I did. Skyline told me that a cab would be here in enough time to get me to the station, but now we were down to 15 minutes before boarding...assuming the train was not early. But then.... Lo and Behold the first reserved taxi showed up only 3 minutes before Skyline (which I later learned from their voice mail while looking for me). Feeling terrible about bumping the second cab company, I had no choice but to take the first one. We made it to the station a minute or two before the train arrived....but not without drama. The driver was planning a dangerous illegal turn onto seaward from a one way exit off of Channel Dr. ....and planning a back entrance approach to the railroad station. ABOUT SKYLINE.... I called them from the train to get a mailing address, so that I could send them the missed fare. I truly felt terrible about bumping them. The gentleman I spoke with was as courteous as could be, thanking me for my offer, but insisting that it wasn't necessary. He simply suggested that if I wanted to be helpful, to simply call them the next time I need a cab, while also mentioning writing a review. Despite my insistence of compensating him for the missed fare, he would not accept it, but instead responded like someone with true consideration for their customers. After checking voice mail I was made aware that he and his Skyline driver both tried calling me at the time of arrival to my home. I need not look any further for dependable cab service.... Ok. They driver was polite & on time but the cab smelled like farts & as we started up the grade from Camarillo I heard the driver blowing farts it smelled like Mexican food & ass. I got really disgusted & almost puked rolling down the window so I could get fresh air . Then when I got home my wife asked if I had Mexican food for lunch guess it got into the fabric of my cloths. I was forced to use Skyline taxi and ended up paying twice the rate I usually pay. I don't understand why cab rates aren't regulated here like most cities I've been to. DON'T take a Skyline taxi unless you enjoy paying whatever they feel like charging you. The driver was nice and just doing his job, but why use their service when Uber offers much better rides for half the price? My ride bailed on me last minute, so I called Skyline Taxi to pick me up and take me to pick up my pet from the vet as soon as possible (I had only 30 minutes to pick him up or the vet would keep him overnight). Great service, very helpful!! ... I was in Ventura for a Conference and had Skyline give me a ride to the bus station. Carrying 3 bags and a research poster case, I mistakenly left the poster case at the bus stop when I boarded the bus. I realized my error a few minutes later and called James at Skyline to see if he could check if it was still there. James returned to the station and drove the poster back to my hotel so that I could have it shipped to me back home.
