Our tickets to the Passion Play were absolutely perfect. We had the best time. I have also previously traveled with another well known tour group on a pilgrimage through Spain and Portugal and was completely underwhelmed with the tour guide and overall service. In comparison, my experience with NAWAS was far superior The pandemic wreaked havoc on the world. Our tour group opted to be patient and wait it out rather than demanding refunds and everything worked out. Everyone was in agreement that the tour was a great one. I have, in fact, recommended NAWAS due to my experiences. If, however, I was treated rudely or ignored or threatened (as some have indicated), I would most certainly amend my rating accordingly. I don't have access to my flight credits or hotel reservation - they are holding onto everything in their name. I am out $7,000 for a trip I never took, for circumstances I had no control over. With these shady business practices, I wouldn't be surprised if this company goes under before the pandemic ends, then I'll really have NO chance at getting my money back. I'm pursuing legal action and filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Department of Consumer Affairs, an Department of Transportation. I've learned my lesson, I will never use a travel agency again! Update: 8/15/20 Our travel agent told us that she couldn't get a refund on our flights and they would have to apply our money as a future travel credit. She even argued with me that our flights to Belize were NOT cancelled at the peak of COVID. All in all, it was a terrible experience and below are some of the reasons why: 1. Pricing for vaccinations are ridiculously high. 2. We mentioned that the cities we are going to are Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Bangkok. One of the prescriptions we were given was for atovaquone-proguanil, which is anti malaria medication. After picking up the prescription, I looked up malaria risk for each of the cities we are going to and essentially found that all cities either have no malaria or very little risk of it. 3. One of the vaccinations we received was for rabies, which is a 3 shot vaccination. At our initial visit, we were given a quote which had all of our vaccines. While the price was high, we moved forward anyway as we didn't want to risk catching anything on our trip. We end up getting the first 2 rabies vaccines, then when we went back to Passport Health to get our 3rd shot we were told there was an additional fee. This fee was NOT mentioned when we were given our initial quote so we were wondering how this one came about. It felt like we were blindsided by it. Again, these vaccinates are not cheap (i.e. over $1,000 per person). I think the price for all doses should have been listed from the very beginning, not the price for 2 and then you tell us the price for the 3rd later. 4. We were supposed to receive a card, which had the vaccinations we got listed on there. This wasn't provided to us and I didn't realize it until we went to another Passport Health location. Points #3 and 4 were mentioned to the lady working at the clinic and the response was very defensive. We certainly did not see eye to eye at all. At the end of the day, I would not recommend this place to anyone and I personally would never go back.

The nurse was extremely knowledgeable about every question we had for our upcoming vacation to the Far East. She was able to check any drug-drug interactions immediately, and she organized the required vaccines quickly and efficiently. She was kind, professional and pleasant throughout, and she was a pro at giving the vaccinations -- we had numerous injections and didn't feel a single one. Not only did she misinform us about numerous items during the travels she adamantly refuses to be transparent regarding how she spent our $10,853 fee. Some examples of her incompetence are as follows: I asked to her clarify overnight parking rates at our Sydney hotel in order to make a rental car decision. When she informed us that parking was $3/day we decided to rent the car on an earlier date. The actual parking rate was $29/day. I assume that any "Australian specialist" would have an understanding of reasonable rates and would have personally questioned the rate before misinforming a client. During an initial call with Melodie, I mentioned that my wife is a foreign national. She said that VISAs would be no problem and that she would apply for us and even pay the fee. A week before our departure she panics and finally informs us that I must personally apply for a VISA for my wife, fill out the documents, UPS the documents to the Australian Embassy in Washington DC and pay all fees to expedite the VISA process. Again, I would assume that an "Australian specialist" would understand the VISA requirements or at least verify any non-US requirements before making empty promises to their clients. Melodie arranged for a diving trip in the Great Barrier Reef. When I informed her of the rates that the service provider she chose, Poseidon Cruises of Port Douglas, quoted us directly her response was "that would be one huge bargain". She however refuses to clarify how much I actually paid for the diving trip. After various mistakes Melodie Kennedy made came to light, I questioned her numerous times how she actually arrived at the total price of $10,853 that she charged us. I provided her opportunities to clarify but to no avail. Her only response is that, "The rates charged for your trip were fair."

She has great follow through, making sure my husband and I get any documents needed and deposits made on time and than once all the planning is done, provides us with a finished itinerary! Melodie has even had to help us on one occasion with a hotel problem we encountered on our honeymoon no less, by calling the hotel herself and getting the issue taken care of, great customer service!
