Debby helped us plan a fantastic 1-week Hawaii vacation for the whole family in spring, 2022. We started with a video chat about the kind of vacation we wanted, and she helped us narrow down the best islands to visit. Our needs for lodging were pretty specific, but she found us the perfect place and pulled some strings to make sure it would be available for us -- definitely not something we could have done on our own. The lodging alone would have made her services worthwhile, but that was just the beginning. Since our outbound flight was nearly full, she helped us work with the airline to adjust the reservation so all of us could sit together. Where to begin?? We decided just 2 months before our travel date to book a trip to 2 separate destinations (hitting one place on the way back from the other). Truth be told, I am a pretty good internet deal finder and the thought of using a travel agent was just absurd. However, Debby has proven me wrong! In looking for the best prices for our honeymoon in Tahiti, we looked at online websites, Costco, and also inquired with Debby. Not only did Debby match Costco's pricing, but she also provided extra services that we would never have received with Costco. Every step of the way from selecting the best hotel for us, choosing tour excursions, making reservations, paying our deposits, to pre-trip consultation, Debby provided excellent customer service and was always super responsive whenever we had any questions. Prior to the trip, she personally called us to go over our itinerary and gave us all the information that we needed. During the trip, we always felt that we were in good hands and that she (or the trip supplier) was reachable in a heartbeat should we encounter any problems. I didn't know that Bravo Travel is on yelp! Well, I've been using Bravo Travel for a few years. Hate to make it long but there are certain things to point out. Many years ago, I've used a few travel agency mainly to buy tickets to HK to visit my family. When I got married, we've been to many vacation as a couple and then with children. As internet age becomes so easy to research and do your own trip and get cheap airline ticket, trust me. You still need a good travel agents. Pros: 1. Personal attentive service: We were trying to figure out where to spend one of our Christmas with our extended families. And Debby recommended the Disney cruise. Besides all the thoughtful gesture "gifts at our room waiting" which was nice, the price of the cruise was quite reasonable. For a family of 4, I think we pay less than $2000. The food and the service was extraordinary... that was the best cruise we had ever. She took care all the arrangement for flight to Orlando, transportation to the pier. We didn't have to worry about a thing... she personally deliver all the tickets and documents and explained everything (which wasn't necessary since we've been to quite a few cruises). But her focus on personal touch service and details which really makes the planning of our trip easy... we did nothing! Now that's vacation! (I've also heard the same impressive comments from my friends who I referred her to) 2. Details and great advice: We went to a Mediterranean cruise couple of years ago. Man... we so appreciate Debby's advises. Though we have been relying on her to plan our vacation. Europe is a little bit different... First she got us the cruise... it was an awesome advice because Europe is always expensive to travel, but with cruise, we paid USD, that saves us good money since European hotels and foods are pretty expensive... and Euro was high then too! She also advised us on how to travel at different port. For instance, we went to one of the port closed to Rome and in order to visit Rome, the excursion took so long to get on and the bus like took a long time to get to Rome. Debby suggested train... wow, hop off the cruise, hop on the train (and she told us how much for the train ticket and which kind to get, which made it so much easier and CHEAPER!) 3. Service: Debby took care of us well, so we didn't have any issues during our travel. But I did hear from one of our friends who used her had some problems in England and ended up contacting Debby and she took care of it. I forgot what problem but the thing about Debby is she's quite available (I still have to leave messages), she always get back to you right away if she's not answering my call. It's a huge asset when you are in a foreign country and someone is there for you to help. That's priceless. 4. Expertise: One thing I have to admit, so far, she's helped us with many cruises, European trip and Hawaii (that truly is her specialty, she knows almost everything there and gave us great recommendations and advises... including some restaurants recommendations). I am not sure about other places. But she's very resourceful in regards to finding deals on hotels and car rentals. 5. Integrity: She's always very upfront on your inquiries. If she can't do it, she will let you know. Cons: 1. Airline ticket deals: I travel to HK rather often. However, the airfare she located is about the same with internet deals I found, so if you are looking for just air fare, I think you will do just as good going through internet. I always thought about how are these travel agents survive with Kayak, Expedia and all those deal sites. Well, until you need someone to follow up, someone to resolve issues regarding incorrect pricing, misquote, and problems when you reach your destination, you will know. Try call someone from a foreign country to get help. It's kind of go back to why someone prefer to drive an Audi, Benz or BMW, and why would someone rather drive a Hyundai or Nissan. And with Debby, you aren't paying for more, you got more value out of it. My job is busy enough, I'd rather someone like Debby to deal with all the details. read more

It's hard to believe I never wrote a review for Debby's services. Better late than never, I guess! M and I used Debby to book our honeymoon after I saw Jenn G.'s review. We knew that we wanted to go to Palawan and since I had never been to the Philippines and wanted to spend a couple of days in Tokyo, we decided to hire Debby to figure out the logistics of connecting flights and hotels. I contacted Debby and one other travel agent and Debby called me back first. Come to think of it, the other person never followed up with me. It may have been because it was the day before Thanksgiving or a couple of days before. Debby got back to me within an hour with three different options based on price and quality of hotel. This was amazing since it was right before a major holiday. She made everything simple for us and had all of our paperwork organized so that traveling was stress-free. In the end, she saved us hundreds of dollars on the flight alone compared to what I had found scouring the internet. Even though she gave us one price, she continued to look for a better deal and updated me later on to let me know she had found a lower price and a better itinerary! I really appreciated Debby's thoughtful gestures such as leaving us a note and gift at our hotel to wish us happiness in our new adventure as husband and wife. She even remembered our anniversary. This year we'll be traveling with a new addition to our family and you can bet we'll rely on Debby to plan our first big trip. read more

For decades, I've planned all of my own travel (and then all of my family's travel) without using a travel agent. But we wanted to take a family trip to Hawaii, and I didn't know anything about properties and locations, so I started looking for a travel agent. As soon as I found Bravo's web site, I knew that Debby would be the right person to put together a perfectly wonderful vacation--there's a form you can fill out to explain what kind of trip you're looking for and what kind of traveler you are, and it makes you really think about what you want out of a trip, which makes it easier for her to help. It's a really smart approach. Debby got back to me with several options on Maui, all within our budget. with one clear winner. She knew that there was construction on one side of the hotel and made sure that we were on a high floor on the other side so we wouldn't be bothered by it. And she seems to know people at every property on the island. Really, everything about the trip was absolutely wonderful, and I would never have thought to book that property on my own. I couldn't help checking whether I could have put this trip together myself at a better price, and the answer is definitely NO, I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS AS WELL AND AT AS GOOD A PRICE AS BRAVO TRAVEL. Like I said, I've always been a very DIY traveler but this experience was so great that I will probably book all vacation travel through Debby. It feels like a crazy luxury to call a travel agent instead of doing hours of my own legwork, but it really turned out to be a better vacation at a better price than I could have done on my own. read more

For a rushed international trip, 12+ hours away for just 4 nights, Debby painstakingly researched and found us 2 great hotels, including a superb hidden gem in the countryside. Then, as our plans changed -- not just once but several times -- she had to cancel both hotels, book new ones, cancel again, and rebook again. Much of this involved painful time differences, long phone calls, late hours, translators, and negotiating missed cancellation deadlines. Throughout all of this, Debby was cheerful, responsive and incredibly dedicated -- she went far beyond the norm to make sure we got what we needed. Debby is the platinum standard!!! I did not want to deal with the daunting task of planning a trip to Japan for 11 family members and me, so I called up Debby at Bravo Travel. I chose Debby because of her high ratings on Yelp and I am so glad I did. She was amazing with my family's many requests. I had family members who wanted to go on different, cheaper flights, who wanted to go on their own for hotels, and who only wanted to go on part of the tours we had planned. Debby was so patient and understanding. She was able to honor our requests without complaint. She was quick with her email responses and really cared about my family. My son has severe allergies and she made sure to let her vendors in Japan know. She even had laminated Japanese allergy cards made for us! Not only were there lots of different requests, it was also a last minute trip (we decided in July to go to Japan that December). With the short amount of time given to Debby, she was still able to plan a fantastic trip for us. My family enjoyed our 10 days in Japan immensely and we have Debby to thank for that! read more

I spent almost a month with AAA trying to put together a trip to Morocco. Needless to say it was a frustrating experience. With only a month before my departure date, I realized AAA was not going to deliver the experience I hoped for and I sought help elsewhere. Debby was highly recommended by a friend. I called her on a Saturday and she had the trip of my dreams ready to go by the following Monday. Our trip was entirely custom. We travelled throughout the entire country stopping at multiple sites. All of our accommodations were 4 or 5 star lodgings. We were greeted by an english speaking driver who stayed with us throughout the trip. He escorted us to all of our destinations and had an extensive knowledge of the culture and landscape. Just a few days before our trip ended we got news that AirFrance was planning an strike and that our return flights needed to be rebooked. I texted Debby who immediately found acceptable alternatives. She spent over an hour on the phone with me to secure flights and an overnight stay in Amsterdam. When I got home, she had already submitted paperwork to the trip insurance company to apply for reimbursing me for expenses related to the strike.
