The elevators are slow. We took the stairs a lot. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has a frosted glass sliding "barn" door. The best thing is it's proximity to Hamners' theater where we saw 4 wonderful, family friendly music "tribute" shows. I will definitely stay at the Branson La Quinta for all future visits. From the moment we arrived, the tone was inappropriate. Instead of a standard welcome, we were immediately met with an assumption--asked if we were part of a baseball team--and then directed to read a list of "rules" without context. As first-time guests, this created an immediate impression of bias and profiling rather than hospitality. The situation escalated significantly around 8:00 PM. A manager came onto our floor and began loudly and aggressively confronting another guest and his wife because their children ran down the hallway laughing after exiting the elevator. While the children's behavior was minor and typical, the manager's response was excessive and disruptive--her yelling carried multiple rooms down the hall and directly impacted my family's ability to relax. I approached the front desk calmly and respectfully to request that concerns be handled in a less disruptive and more professional manner. Instead of de-escalating, the manager interrupted repeatedly, raised her voice in the lobby, and adopted a confrontational tone. When I asked her not to interrupt, her behavior escalated further. She then began addressing me as "honey," which was clearly inappropriate and condescending in a professional setting. When I addressed that concern, it was dismissed. I requested to speak with the general manager. She refused, stating she would not provide contact information. I clarified that I did not want a phone number and was willing to leave mine for follow-up. At that point, the interaction crossed a line--she threatened to call the police and have my family removed from the property. To be clear: I approached staff to request a quieter, more professional handling of a situation that they themselves had escalated--and was met with a threat of law enforcement. She later called the general manager and attempted to hand me the phone in the middle of the lobby. I declined to take a call in a public setting and reiterated my willingness to speak privately the following day. This is not a minor customer service issue. This is a failure in: * Professional conduct * De-escalation practices * Guest respect and communication * Basic hospitality standards I strongly encourage ownership and corporate leadership to review all available camera and audio footage from both the hallway and front desk during this incident. The behavior displayed by management created unnecessary conflict, disrupted multiple guests, and exposed the property to reputational and operational risk. I expect follow-up from senior leadership regarding how this will be addressed moving forward.

Preparation for the visit-- We left our house a little early because we wanted to get to Silver Dollar City before storms hit and try to enjoy our stay. We had spoken to associates from the resort who stated it was ok to show up two hours early and they would take care of the situation. Arrival at the resort-- When we arrived, we were met by security who were very kind and directed us to where our cabin was. The security officers provided a map and circled key locations for our stay. The layout of the resort was a little confusing and we ended up getting into an area where we had to back out. The roads are very narrow and leave little-to-no room for mistake. Your emergency brake better work if you're planning on parking near the edge of the roads. Arrival at the Cabin-- When we arrived at our cabin, we referred to the instructions left in our email to gain entry. The code for the door was not working. I called support once and left a message; then called again and an associate picked up. He stated we weren't supposed to be at the location for another two hours. It appeared somewhere along the line that someone did not pass information to the appropriate parties. After about twenty minutes we were texted a couple of different codes and the problem was solved. Inside the Cabin-- The cabin we stayed at was very cozy and welcoming. The lighting left something to be desired but it was sufficient to see our way around. The rooms were laid out nicely and were appealing. The crew maintaining the appearance of the cabin went the extra mile to try and decorate the inside to match the Christmas theme. All electronics we used worked and we had no issues connecting to the local WiFi. The dining utensils and amenities were clean and stored in an easily accessible location. The crew that maintained inventory and cleanliness of the cabin left some snacks and coffee in Tupperware containers for the first few uses which was nice when we wanted to brew a cup of coffee. The floors were appealing and everything matched the "woodsy" feel we were looking for. The floors were creaky in certain spots so it was difficult to move around the cabin without making too much noise. The beds were very firm and not what we were used to back at home. Sleeping was very difficult based on this. The thermostat was working all day and night to keep temperatures to our liking, so I can only assume insulation needs a little work (Mind you we rented this cabin in the late fall, early winter.) The water pressure was fine in the showers and sinks. The showers were clean but looked to be built for smaller people. I'm 6'1" and could easily see over the shower door, let alone had to 'duck' to get under the shower head. The bathroom does not have a fan so if you're about to take a load off, use the window in the bathroom and be prepared to let it aerate for a while. The toilet paper was 1-ply. If you're used to a bidet you may want to bring either flushable baby-wipes or a portable bidet. The jets in the bath did not work and we were not able to fill it with water warm enough to our liking. Most of the throw pillows were flat and need to be replaced or re-fluffed. The couch was uncomfortable. There were sufficient enough outlets available in the bedroom to charge our watches and phones but not much else. There was only one night stand which was the location where the power strip was located; so everything had to be placed on one side when we wanted to charge them. Some of the coasters for beverages were broken but they still fulfilled their function. Leaving the resort-- We decided to end our stay one day early because we saw everything we wanted to see in Branson and our needed sleep quality was more valuable than staying another day. Thoughts and overall review-- We got what we paid for minus some of the inconveniences that were listed above that should not have existed (Bed quality, toilet paper quality, bath not working properly, etc.). We liked the cabin but not enough to book another stay here. We are going to try our luck at another location the next time we visit.

The condo was straight from the 80s with popcorn ceilings, wooden trim, yellowing formica laminate countertops and yellowing appliances to match. The bathroom had broken and loose floor tiles. The worst part was the spider in the toilet, mold around the jets in the bathtub and stains on the bedding! And if that wasn't enough, the bed was absolutely PAINFUL! The only good things I can say about the place was the property grounds were nice and the area was quiet. Overall, the place was a waste of our time and money. We have been staying at this place before the current owners (Rick & Connie Balsley) had bought it. We have never cancelled without the proper notification and missed (3) years in all of the 15+ years we have stayed there. One year we went to California to visit relatives and the last 2 years we missed because our son is in all year round college and his 1 week summer break did not line up with when everyone from our family was down there. We gave Connie the proper notice and in all actuality greater notice that they request. Connie agreed to roll our deposit since we would be back in 2019 and we moved forward. Well, today we received a letter she and Rick sent stating that they were not going to keep their word and sent back our deposit. These people are untruthful and passive aggressive. There are many other places on Table Rock Lake to stay at and you would be better served to go check them out. The letter they sent was incorrect stating we missed 3 years in a row as we only missed 2 due to our son's college break. I find it sad they can't spell my wife's name after going there for over 10+ years with them as owners .
