Didn't have the best experience with our stay, but Kyle made things right and we really appreciate that.

Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience…read more My mother and I attended a timeshare presentation with Lifetime Destinations at Branson's Nantucket Resort in Branson, Missouri. We agreed to attend a two-hour presentation in exchange for a promised $400 gift card/credit. Initially, our sales representative, Doug, was pleasant and courteous. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that his friendliness disappeared the moment we politely declined to purchase. After the agreed-upon two-hour presentation, we respectfully explained that we already own a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) timeshare and were not interested in giving it up. I asked to review a contract and was refused. I also asked several additional questions about the program, but none were answered to my satisfaction. Rather than addressing our concerns professionally, Doug's demeanor changed dramatically. He became verbally abusive and repeatedly insulted my intelligence, telling me that I "must be ignorant" because I would not sign over our DVC ownership. No customer deserves to be spoken to in such a disrespectful and demeaning manner simply because they choose not to make a purchase. The worst part of the experience occurred when I stepped away briefly to use the restroom. While I was gone, Doug was alone with my elderly mother. When I returned, I overheard him tell her, "You must not care about your children the way I do about mine." I was shocked. My mother raised me by herself, and hearing a salesperson make such a personal and hurtful comment to an elderly woman was beyond inappropriate. It was cruel, manipulative, and completely unprofessional. Sales presentations should never involve personal attacks or attempts to guilt customers into making major financial decisions. At that point, we had already been there for approximately two and a half hours--thirty minutes longer than the time we had agreed to. Despite fulfilling our obligation to attend the presentation, Lifetime Destinations refused to provide the promised $400 gift card/credit, apparently because we chose not to purchase their product. We lost valuable vacation time and left feeling mistreated and disrespected. I calmly told Doug that he owed both my mother and me an apology for the way he had spoken to us. His response was to raise his voice and say, "I am not going to apologize." That response demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect for customers. Our decision not to purchase should have been accepted courteously. Instead, we were subjected to insults, intimidation, guilt tactics, and disrespect. No reputable business should allow its representatives to treat potential customers this way. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Lifetime Destinations or their presentations. We expected a professional presentation and honest answers to our questions. Instead, we encountered high-pressure sales tactics, personal insults, and treatment that no customer--especially an elderly woman--should ever endure. I hope management takes complaints like this seriously and ensures that future guests are treated with the dignity and respect every customer deserves.

I'm a longtime Marriott loyalist, but this stay at the Marriott Vacation Club in Branson, Missouri,…read morewas one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with the brand. Short Version: If you are staying for a short time period avoid the "timeshare treatment" and fees. The housekeeping and room size won't make it an enjoyable experience. Book a true hotel that can help make your stay comfortable. I booked a smaller room directly through the Marriott website for a 3-night stay. Knowing the room type, I specifically called ahead to confirm we would receive daily housekeeping. The representative assured me we would get what they called a "daily tidy" service. After the first day, we returned to an untouched room. When I called the front desk on July 17, 2026, I was told they only offer every-other-day service and that the "daily tidy" description was "misleading" (their words). They clarified it was simply a limited clean every other day. At that point, it was too late to change anything, so we made do. The next day we returned around 3pm hoping to nap and shower before evening plans. The room was exactly as we had left it. At the front desk, staff explained they have until 4pm to service rooms and prioritize checkouts over stayovers. While I understand operational realities, I was surprised and frustrated that nothing had been done by mid-afternoon. The same associate I had spoken with the day before rolled her eyes at me, which only added to the poor experience. No one seemed to view this as an issue worth addressing. I asked if they could at least bring fresh towels to the door so we wouldn't have to vacate the room. Shortly after returning, we received multiple phone calls from the front desk and a housekeeper knocking--disrupting our attempt to rest. When the housekeeper arrived, she only had one towel initially. She later returned with towels but no hand towels or washcloths. By then it was too late for any meaningful tidy. The room also had a persistent musty smell, likely made worse by damp bath and beach towels hanging to dry. As non-timeshare guests, we expected standard Marriott service levels rather than reduced attention. We didn't stay long enough to use laundry facilities or most amenities, but the pools appeared well-maintained and the game room was clean. Unfortunately, those positives couldn't make up for the core failures in housekeeping and guest service. Over the past few years I've been shifting more toward Hilton properties, which have felt more dependable and consistent. Every time I give Marriott another chance, I end up disappointed. This was the lowest-bar experience I've had in a while: I simply wanted basic daily tidying and towel service so the room wouldn't smell musty. Even my younger children, who don't travel with us often and loved the big pool, thought the overall stay was disappointing. I waited for a manager follow-up or even a simple morning check-in from the front desk, but nothing happened. It seemed the 4pm deadline was all that mattered. I hope Marriott Vacation Club reviews these processes. Housekeeping communication and service standards need clear improvement to match the brand's reputation.

The location is nice and quiet and the facility is clean as we came to expect all the WorldMark resorts to be. We checked in late and we were greeted by a friendly employee who checked us in quickly. We didn't need a parking pass. We had a unit that could accommodate a maximum of 6 people so for the three of us it was very spacious. The beds were comfortable. We occupied a room on the 3rd floor, one stair up. I was glad that we didn't get a call to attend another "owner update"... maybe they've temporarily suspended it during Covid-19. The next day we came back to the registration office to inquire about discount tickets to shows. The location is not too far from all the entertainment and shows. I had no idea that Branson was world-famous for music shows. We were tipped by a nice employee to check out the 2 for 1 Tickets for a better deal. Thanks!!!! Review #1926

We had the condo booked for 7 days/nights (Saturday to Saturday), but we did not get here until Sunday. My father in law checked us in and had all the paperwork ready when we arrived on Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, our designated condo was hot, like in the 90s, and the air conditioning was not working. My father in law called the office, and the woman who answered was being wishy washy and said they would eventually get a maintenance person to look at it. Couldn't tell us a time or even an approximation of when they will fix our issue. Mind you, it's been in the upper 90s to slightly over 100°F lately. Having been left in limbo, we called again about 45 minutes later, and the woman who answered the phone was nicer. She put us on hold for less than a minute while she spoke to her manager. Shortly after, the maintenance guy came and checked a different room, told us we would need to move, and that he was just waiting for the main office to call back and give the go-ahead. So we moved one level down to an equivalent condo. After moving our things, we were hungry and decided to go to the main office/check-in area to swap the key cards for the correct room. The woman did not even allow us to speak. She simply stated she knows what's going on. Then she got confused, taking 4 tries to finally get the condo number correct. If she had just listened rather than acting frustrated and upset, it would have been done correctly the first time. Customer service was really disappointing at this point of our trip. Also, when we finally got the new condo, the bed wasn't made. We made it with the extra blanket they have stored in the closet. The good news was that the replacement condo appeared to be clean when we moved in there. On the first day, we woke up to a blaring fire alarm before 7 am. Great way to start a relaxing trip, right? No. Fortunately, the remainder of our stay was better. Although you can hear everything in the condo, the area had some upside such as 2 swimming pool locations by where the cottages are, an on-site restaurant and bar you could walk up to from the pool area, and some resort activities for families. They also have a dock you could use if you're bringing your boat or renting one. The condo had a huge bath tub, it was sort of broken and refused to drain at first, but it was nice for relaxing. I went to the restaurant at the resort for lunch. Not super horrible. The huge bathroom with 2 sinks was great. The balcony, while nice, offered only a view of some unfinished grounds, the trailer for housekeeping, and some trees, but nothing exhilarating. This was a place to get some sleep, but we never did get anyone to come and make the bed or give us proper bed sheets.

While in the restroom, I noticed reddish brown drops on the wall tile and vanity. After taking a shower, there was a huge pool of water because the seal on the door was damaged and not attached to the glass door so the door didn't shut. The fan in the bathroom was also not connected to the ceiling and was extremely dirty. The security door latch also was pulled from the wall and was barely hanging onto the wall. When we tried to dial 0 to call the front desk, the automated mesaage on the phone said that operator services would not be available after Dec 2017! Really?? It's Aug 2025! How is one supposed to now get ahold of the front desk from the room? We had to get in the car and drive to the front desk. Sharon was super apologetic after we showed her the photos. She had to call her supervisor to get authorization and wanted to get us in a cottage but you could hear the supervisor clear as day over the phone say "No!" We were told that they couldn't move us to a cottage because we're owners and used points and they couldn't do a double upgrade (going from studio to a 2 bedroom). When Sharon talked to her supervisor, Sharon told her that only 1101 was available as 2 other condos were out of commission as well. So we were told we would be given 1101 which is 1 level BELOW the parking lot. Ok, it is what it is. In 1101, the bathroom had all the cabinet doors open that it looked like someone ransacked the bathroom. No toiletries were on the vanity. There was also no coffee nor laundry detergent in the condo. Basic housekeeping items that is supposed to be in the condo. Upon further inspection of 1101, there were dead bugs that we assume were coming in through the unsealed front door since you could see daylight coming through and the security latch was completely missing from the door. We had to go back to the front desk and politely asked Sharon that she needed to call her manager to find another solution as 1101 was even worse. Upon calling the front desk manager (Sharon's supervisor's supervisor) who authorized the move to a cottage, we were able to move. When we returned back to 1404 to get our items, the pool of water from the shower was gone meaning that it soaked into the floor and will lead to a mold issue if it's not already there. Out of the 12 condos, 4 had issues (incl the 2 I listed) and it's quite clear that it's in shambles. What is my HOA paying for because it certainly isn't for the upkeep of the building. It also feels that the building is the red-headed stepchild of the resort and it's still pricey. 75k points for a week in Aug for a studio is ridiculous especially when we were sold into the program that we could get a cottage in the village for 75k points.

They put us in their Carriage Place property, which was run down. For the presentation, we drove to Stormy Point Village where we were shown a nice 4 bedroom cottage. We asked if our 75k points would cover a stay here and he said yes, but only in the 2 bedroom cottage, which was totally fine with us. Spoiler: 75k gets you a 2 bedroom cottage in Jan/Feb for the week. Because our 75k points couldn't be rolled over to next yr nor saved in Trading Places, we had to use them or lose them. We opted to stay in Stormy Point for the week, but 75k only gets you a studio in Aug in Stormy Point Lakeside, which is their dilapidated building. After complaining of the issues in not 1, but 2 studios, they allowed us to move to a cottage. The cottage has issues too, but better than the studios. We were told about an owner's information meeting that would take an hr. Turns out it is a "New Owners Orientation," which is their term to upsell current owners. Nick was our sales guy and he started the meeting with "No offense but I usually don't meet with people like you." And he continues to state that he's so high up in the company that he only came in because they had a shortage of employees that day. When I told him that we weren't interested in upgrading, he then says "Don't take this the wrong way but I can read people like you. I'm not trying to sell you anything." Well, Nick is a liar because they tried to get us to upgrade to 200k points for $17k to use all the perks of our timeshare since they have re-vamped it. I'm sorry but if I'm already an owner, I should already get to use all the new perks after a re-vamp without needing to pay more. I'm not sure where my HOA goes but it's clearly NOT at this property. Save your time and money and DO NOT give Capital Vacations another thought. If you are so set on staying in Stormy Point Village, you can book directly and pay $100 more for the week than what I pay for my HOA without the headache of this company.

Not for Wyndham, since I have absolutely no hope of receiving a sincere and honest response from the company--just the same old copy-and-paste of automated replies from other reviews. No, thank you. When I made my reservation through Expedia, I requested a unit with handicap accessibility. Not only did they give me one that didn't meet the requirements, but they also gave me the one furthest from the elevator. It was all done on purpose. The unit was very nice, well-designed, and comfortable, but completely in need of MAINTENANCE. As I said, the toilets weren't handicap-accessible--they couldn't have been any lower. The king-size bed had a completely worn-out mattress, causing back, neck, or hip pain upon waking, with visible sagging, leading to poor sleep (tendency to roll toward the center), and clearly over 10 years old. Closet doors that fell off their hinges. In the past, there used to be a quiet hours policy from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. It seems that no longer exists, lest it offend some guest, who feels free to slam doors, shout, run, and jump around at any hour they please. We arrived late after a 5-hour drive. We were really looking forward to relaxing and getting some rest. But that wasn't how it went. Right after check-in, we were "ambushed" by people trying to sell us a timeshare. Just a quick aside. Don't get involved with timeshares. It's the most expensive thing that can happen to you in your life. I had two--yes, two--timeshares, and I totally regret it. Not just because they tell you one thing to sell it to you, and the reality is something else entirely. Let's just do the math. $40,000 for two timeshares plus the annual fee--let's say another $1,000 a year... If you have that kind of money to spend, invest it and go on vacation for free every year. That's all I have to say. The employees who want to sell you the timeshare get pretty upset when you tell them no. I'm not going to waste two hours of my vacation listening to nonsense and nonsense that doesn't get you anywhere in the end. Another unbelievable thing about Wyndham. There's no housekeeping. Exactly. They have staff constantly walking the hallways, but you can't request them. Not even if you pay for it. The reason: make more money. Regardless of the customer, regardless of the quality of service, regardless of whether the customer is comfortable and enjoying their stay. No, first comes the dividend paid to shareholders, and way down the list is the QUALITY OF SERVICE. And don't get me wrong, I'm an investor. Getting back to the room, the sofa and the accent chair were a disaster--completely sagging and very uncomfortable. I'll say it again: we booked through Expedia, and that's how they ended up sending us to the worst room. I have travel experience--perhaps much more than these Wyndham managers--with 60 years of traveling for pleasure and work. I know the difference and what should be done. That's why this review is for those looking to enjoy a nice trip, a break, and a hassle-free experience. SEE YOU NEXT TIME.

We are owners and needed to spend points as we couldn't roll them over nor save them. I wonder exactly where my HOA is going to, but it's definitely NOT this property. We ended up in a 2 bedroom cottage after issues with 2 studios in their Lakeside building (see my review in the Lakeside property). The cottage seemed super nice when we first got in here after our studio debacle, but you can see there are water leaks, mismatched ceiling paint (prob a fix to a water leak), AC broke after 2 days when it's been 95+ outside, a broken lamp in the downstairs bedroom, exterior lock not put on correctly, and deep gouges in the floor. Most of the cottages have cracked siding and missing roof shingles (prob the reason for water leaks). We looked up staying here out of pocket and realized that staying a week in a 2 bedroom cottage costs $100 more for the week than our HOA for 75k points. Also, 75k points gets you a week in a 2 bedroom cottage in Jan/Feb. For Aug, you can only get the studio in their dilapidated building. Our AC stopped working and we dealt with it as it was 73° so not unbearable, but on our last day, it was 86°. We told the front desk and asked for a portable AC, which they said they only had a fan. The AC tech came out and when pulling the breaker to work on it properly, the breaker box became separated from the siding. Unfortunately for us, the AC wasn't fixed but the tech left a box fan. The box fan was NOT going to work for the 86° temp so we decided to pack up and check out. Michelle was super apologetic at the desk and offered to move us to another unit, but we didn't think it was worth it since it was going to be less than 6 hours. After being home for a few hours, 11 hrs away, I received a call from Carla checking up on our AC complaint and wondering if our unit had cooled down. WHAT?? I had to tell her that we checked out last night. This place doesn't know which way is up.
