Breakthrough Moments From the Very First Lessons…read more I can't recommend Danielle LoPresti enough as a singing teacher. She is amazing--supportive, patient, and incredibly kind. Almost immediately after I started taking lessons with her, she helped me break through obstacles that I had struggled with my whole life. What I appreciate most is her holistic approach to singing. For me, it's about expression, not perfection, and Danielle truly understands that. She creates a safe environment where I never feel judged or rushed, which makes it much easier to explore my voice and grow with confidence. Another thing that makes her classes special is the community she has built among her students. She organizes opportunities for us to meet and perform, which is incredibly valuable. Watching and learning from others is inspiring, and it also reminds us that many of us share the same challenges--stage fright, nervousness, and sometimes the pressure of perfectionism. If you're looking for a supportive teacher who truly helps you grow as a singer and as a performer, Danielle is fantastic.

I usually don't give reviews of any kind; however, Danielle deserves to be recognized. Her experience instructing clearly showed with the results of the class. Personally, she helped me a lot since I didn't have any vocal coaching and pushed me to break out of my shell.

My voice was "ok," I could hold a note, but it was very limited. I chose Sophia based on all the superlative Yelp reviews she has received over the years. These have been borne out in spades by my experience working with her. I've now had over a year of weekly lessons and my voice has improved significantly. It has a wider range, more depth and fullness, and an overall better sound. Sophia is a teacher par excellence. I come away from each lesson inspired and encouraged. I am frequently awed by her extraordinary intelligence and ability to explain various concepts and techniques in concrete, easy-to-understand terms. She employs different modalities such as visualizations, catch phrases, or simple concrete directions about how to breathe, move my mouth, place my tongue, and adjust my posture to aid in my learning, which I find very effective. She is incredibly articulate, and I can tell she is able to readily adapt her explanations and approaches to the student's individual learning style and stage of learning. Indeed, she is never at a loss for words that effectively convey whatever she intends to communicate to the student. Moreover, Sophia is kind, patient, charming, and dynamic. I've felt at ease with her from the outset. It is obvious she truly cares about the student's learning and progress, and that she is passionate about teaching voice. In short, Sophia is a first-rate teacher, among the best of many I've had in my life, from elementary through graduate school. I have no doubt she would be a well-regarded teacher at the finest conservatories. Thank you Sophia!

Playing guitar is in my zone, but I am not a trained singer; hence, I started searching for singing coaches on the Internet. I found HEATHERVOX. She had a lot of positive reviews; hence, I scheduled a session with her; and, I am so happy I did. - She has a beautiful singing voice; and, she immediately assessed my singing competency baseline. - She immediately started me on vocal techniques that quickly controlled the movement of my neck, mouth, and vocal cords. Most importantly, she taught me the importance of relaxing the vocal cords throughout the octaves. - After 40 minutes of teaching proper singing techniques and using the techniques she taught me going up and down scales, it was time to apply the techniques to a song. - I sang, Here Comes The Sun, by the Beatles; and, I was amazed -- I immediately noticed the improvement in my singing -- now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't just "add boiling water and instant noodles" kind-of- thing, but it was a drastic and noticeable improvement in my singing voice. I still have a lot of work and practice to do. Now, I have more controlled volume, my voice is more robust, colorful, and dimensional, AND I am able to hit higher notes easier without strain. I was also amazed with the added tone quality Heather gave me through her singing techniques. Heather recorded my session; hence, I have a starting baseline of my singing voice. I can track my progress. I also have recordings of the techniques she taught me; so, I can replicate them while doing my homework. I have 6 months from today, 23-January-2025, to get my singing skills on-point; hence, I am 100% certain, working with Heather, will get me to my goal. I scheduled additional appointments with her, and she gave me homework and exercises to work on before my next session. I really enjoy the straw exercise -- extremely helpful. Finally, I like that Heather has good business ethics. She assessed my progress and gave me a class schedule that matched her forecast of my progress within the 6 months -- she didn't try to sell me more lessons than I needed. I'm very happy working with Heather to get me to my singing goals for this feature film. Check 6! /s/ Alfonso Faustino

I stopped lessons a while ago due to my own scheduling conflicts, but I still hope to restart one day--I miss working with her! Shari is not only highly trained professional vocal coach but also an all-around wonderful person. She has a unique ability to connect with her students, no matter their skill level. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced singer, Shari meets you where you are and helps you grow in ways you didn't think possible. Her lessons are thoughtfully tailored to your goals, style, and voice, and the improvements I saw in my singing were incredible - several of my friends even commented on it. Shari's guidance had such a noticeable impact on the quality of my voice, and every session with her was the highlight of my week. She's patient, supportive, and so encouraging. If you're looking for a vocal coach who is knowledgeable, approachable, and passionate about singing and vocal performance, Shari is the one. I cannot recommend her enough!

The question is, can you be an A student…read more Have you ever wanted to sing your heart out loud but thought you sucked at singing, so you didn't even want to try? Well, chances are, you probably don't know how to sing, and trust me, singing can be taught, especially by Raz. Raz is a teacher for a reason and that is to TEACH you how to sing. He's been doing this for over 30 years. Think about it, why would there be so many vocal teachers, if singing can't be taught? But first, get over the fact that you're not going to be on The Voice after taking 10 vocal lessons and just believe that with practice and dedication, anything can be achieved. IF you PRACTICE 10,000+ hours of singing, maybe then, you'll get on The Voice, but for now, just love the learning process and have fun. It may seem daunting at first, i know, and when you first hear yourself sing, you're probably thinking to yourself.. oh F, why am i even trying or worse, think that the sound of a cat dying sounds better than me singing, at least that's what i thought.. So if you want to impress your friends at the next karaoke night or have a dream to sing live somewhere, book several lessons with him and don't forget to practice on your own. You didn't learn how to play the piano after four 1hr lessons... what makes you think you can sing after four hours and not practice?
