It was Amazing,,, so,,,,,,,there is a plastic shield between you and the tech and as well all are wearing gloves and masks. Customers required to wear masks. Hand Sanitizer everywhere,,,wow the new world huh ?? I was impressed ! I noticed that after each customer the chair, table, floor were sanitized so I was relieved because i was nervous going into a salon at all.Let alone a new one ! I don't usually leave bad reviews, but my experience here was extremely disappointing. The nail tech, used a metro card to remove my nail tips instead of proper tools or the standard soak-off method. It felt unsafe, unprofessional, and honestly a bit shocking and left me in pain. On top of that, the paint job looked splotchy and uneven -- not what I expect when I'm paying for professional nails. I left with nails that felt damaged and looked unfinished. I hope this feedback encourages the salon to follow proper hygiene and technique moving forward. I won't be returning. read more

i used to come here all the time and felt like it was clean, relaxing and the people did a great job. i came today for a manicure and a pedicure and was in and out (including drying my nails) in under an hour which is crazy for manicure and a pedicure. the whole process was so rushed - i barely got massaged during my pedicure which is definitely a standard practice. the lady doing my nails was rude. my cuticles after my manicure continued to have hanging pieces. everything just felt so rushed and the opposite of relaxing which i intended on doing to further worsen this experience - when i got home my toe polish (limo scene - a whiteish pink) was YELLOWing because the polish is so old. do not recommend this place which used to be top notch read more

While waiting for a movie to begin at the nearby AMC Shore 8 theater, my daughter and I went into the One Nail and Spa Salon to get pedis and manis. After we left to go to the theater, my left toe began to hurt. When I took off my boots and socks, I saw that my skin was cut. It was a pretty deep cut and I was afraid of a possible infection. My daughter showed me her right hand and one of the fingers was bleeding as you can see from the photos below. The workers are nice but safety must come first. worst ever pedicure for the second time here. Will not patronize this place again! Not a friendly staff member there either

I went in for uv hard gel application which was mentioned on the phone and again in person, but the nail tech misunderstood the requested appointment and began applying regular gel paint. The owner, Michelle, chopped it up to a "language barrier mistake" which may be true. However, my complaint is about improper professional curtesy by nail tech, Joe, who interjected his opinion which was unrequested at the time because he was not involved and busy watching movies on his phone. i I explained to my nail tech, I wish for removal of the original gel application before they applied the correct uv hard gel because the nail was tacky, had fuzz on it, and was simply not a step in the process for uv gel. At this point I googled the outcome of applying the hard gel on top of product and called a friend who owns 3 nail salons for 2nd opinion and when showing Joe the results about the curing process being disrupted if they continued adding the uv gel, he made a scene laughing at me and dismissed the facts. This resulted in the rest of the salon patrons and professionals scrutinizing me injustly. It took the tech doing my nails only 5 mins to apply accetone to remove the original gel application to do the process properly. The embarrassment and criticism wasnt worth the $65 nail treatment plus $40 massage for 20 min which wasnt even able to be enjoyed. The professional immaturity of this nail tech Joe, would have had him fired from many other job type in hospitality. I explained the inconvenience and embarrassment to the owner, michelle, who just gave my sister and I 4 $5 off cards to come back; which was a business power play to get returning business as I already mentioned to her i wasnt coming back and wasnleaving a bad review as it was a shameful experience for regular customers instead of rectifying the matter in the present tense. read more

This is the best nail place I have ever been to. I have been going here religiously for almost 5 years now and I see Nicole for my nails. Everyone that works there does an amazing job though as well. They are always very welcoming and friendly. They care about your experience and want to make sure you leave happy. I saw some of the other reviews about how they stop and ask to make sure you like the shape and what not. This is very true!! You also get a complimentary 8 min massage with any service. I always ask for Leo! But again, all workers there do a great job and I've never had a bad experience. I will continue to go to One Nail always! Thank you for being awesome! read more

I really like this salon. When I don't go to my usual spot in farmingdale, I like coming here. The price is reasonable for how much work and time actually goes into doing a powder gel. They are clean, fast, and I feel safe there especially during the pandemic. Ruby did this powder gel manicure for me right before thanksgiving and this picture is two weeks to date. As you can see, it's grown out a lot (excuse the cuticles) but the powder stayed in tact through two weeks. I'll prob go in soon to soak off for a new manicure, but it goes to show this could also probably last a little while longer. read more

It went from a dollar to a color to two dollars a color it went from a dollar to a color. I agreed anyways that it was fine to charge me for it. So I was still looking for colors and she was waiting at my chair folding her arms and looking annoyed at me. She was trying to rush me even though I had an appointment and said I wanted a full set of tips. I then brought my colors to her then she said two of them are another three dollars each. I asked her why they were an extra three dollars each and she just said because they're special and I said what makes them different and she said they're just special (they weren't gel polish or glitter or new, just a basic color). At this point I was frustrated and uncomfortable so I did not get the nails. She tried to charge me an extra $20 and tax on anything she could. Go to effective nail's instead they are much nicer and cheaper and they're only a few stores down. They also didn't charge me for extra polish colors which was very nice. Also their pedicures suck!!! I have been to this salon frequently and have been happy previously but the last 2 times I experienced such rude behavior from the staff that I was stunned. My daughter was in town and we went to get acrylic plus gel manicures we asked for almond shaped with chrome for a little sparkle. They said they could accommodate us in one hour so we returned at the agreed time. When we were seated we reinforced what we wanted and my daughter had a photo on her phone as a reference. The woman helping my daughter had difficulty communicating and basically threw the nail book in my daughters lap. Spoke to us so rudely and continues with this behavior throughout our experience. In checking out. We were calm and sweet as I needed my nails done for a wedding I even gave a good tip because it's the holidays and maybe they were overworked. When I asked at the front desk if the woman was ok She said I'm stressed... but never apologized I spent $200 to spend time with my daughter be in a relaxing atmosphere but experienced rudeness on a level I have really not experienced in a spa like setting. Foot Fungus, sketchy scheduling and high prices! This place was my new favorite nail place in town. Prices were a little high but it seemed nice, professional. I went to one woman for most of the various trips I made here. I just learned I got foot fungus from here! Spent $40 on a pedi and now $60 on an rx to treat the foot fungus! Gross! I didn't notice they cleaned the foot bathes and should have been skeptical to see the cheap plastic liners in the foot baths. The foot brushes also seem dirty. Also, scheduling became sketch when I would request the woman I preferred and they said she wasn't available (3xs this happened). They tried pawning me off to someone else. When I arrived at the salon 2/3 times she wasn't busy and they seemed to want to dissuade people from going to her. They also have gotten cheap on the neck massage, raised prices and the front desk is pretty rude. If I could give less than a star, I would. Thanks for the gross FOOT FUNGUS! Won't be going back. Hm..... So I finally finish and I'm waiting to dry at 6:20, they all have their coats and are waiting for me to be done, I felt SO RUSHED. It was ridiculous. They then checked my nails for the second time to see if they were dry and SMUDGED THEM. As if they weren't already bad. So they had to fix them of course, and wait longer. Overall my manicure is still bad and I plan on getting it redone somewhere else tomorrow. For a business that is just starting they should really be accepting any business they can get and not rushing people out of there earlier than they actually close. The owner Grace immediately greeted me when I entered the salon, and after discussing what I was looking for, recommended the Therapi Spa.
