Little kids might be a bit bored but unlike many of these types of stores where it's a lot of old clothes and books, I found EOAC (may I be the first to shorten the store name to 'ee-oh ack'?) to be very diverse and was not bored at all while the rest of my family looked around. Prices can be hit or miss, and the sellers are not around in their individual 'booths' so there's no opportunity to negotiate, but given that this is a retail store, the prices were definitely not outrageous. Pro Tips: -We were there around closing time and they do shut down promptly at that time- lights off, doors locked. Make sure you buy whatever you're looking at before then. -There's a good amount of on-street parking along the side of the store, particularly the diagonal spots right around the corner, if you can snag one -The two-block area of Owego around the store is really perfect for strolling/shopping/hanging out. -The downstairs part is very clean and well organized, and not super-crowded with stuff. The upstairs is a little funkier, especially the side and back rooms (which look like they may have originally been employee break or stock rooms). Don't make the mistake of not at least taking a peek upstairs and seeing if there's anything you like. The only drawback I see is the second floor is not accessible; no ramp or elevator that I saw, only stairs (remember this was built as a department store in the 1950's). The first floor does seem wheelchair accessible though. So far we've been here twice and would stop by again if nearby. If you are a die-hard antique/collectible person, this store could be worth making into a destination all it's own.

I asked if she knew of anyplace that would as I was surprised by this. She said no and sorry. Again, there was no fault in the conversation but it wasn't a place I would really go into again for certain. The reviews are accurate in the items there-I have seen the same at other thrift stores around; nothing stood out in the experience. I have only a problem in that this website does not specify not accepting wedding dresses. This dress is brand new; 3 months special order from David's in a plus size and gorgeous. Perfect condition; I wanted only for someone in my area to benefit from it for a low cost without it running the risk of being handled in a thrift store. I am not certain how it could have been a deficit to the store as the dress is full lace and vintage looking as it gets. However, I couldn't even show it to her before cut off definitively. I agree with the last review when placing consignment up there in everything stated. It seems to be problems only with people coming to consign and it might very well be my appearance as well that made her more reserved although this is only an impression I got and by no means an absolute.

They used to own a shop downtown in Owego, but now they are located right outside the village. I have bought many items from them and have always been very pleased with the quality of my purchases. They are wonderful very friendly and accommodating people. I recently bought these kitty and floral ceramics and planted chamomile in them and they are so whimsical and happy!

The staff treated me well, and I walked out with a nice mix of store credit and cash in my pocket.
