This spot does not do great with Communication! Or listen to what you really want. I had booked an event a month and a half before, so that they can have everything ready! We ordered a jumper that was hot wheel theme, 5 tables with chairs and a taco man. We received 4 tables and never got the 5th, we received a jumper that was all colorful and nothing to do with cars or hot wheels but wait there's more!!! The taco man never came. He said that they would be here at 3pm and serve @4pm. I called him repeatedly and he would ignore my calls but would answer from other numbers. Was looking to rent a water slide for 4th of July about a week before the 4th. I contacted a few different companies and everything was booked. We asked him to arrive at 3pm. And the owner kept saying they are on their way. At around 4 he said they got their truck stolen and will be there in 2 hours. Around 6:30pm. The owner stopped answering our calls. When he finally got back to us he was supposedly in a car accident. He sent pictures and it wasn't even his taco truck it was his nieces car. We had to order pizza at that point. We were so angry because he should have just told us up front he wasn't going to come. Instead he kept us waiting all day thinking he was going to come. We had originally booked him last year but since covid happened we had to cancel we didn't ask for our money back since we knew everyone was having a hard time especially small businesses owners. *** Warning Don't use*** We booked a jumper rental 1 month in advance for Halloween 2020 and then paid up front 100% to secure the rental so we won't run into any issues! Per Marvin, he said to pay 100% in advance to guarantee the booking. When Halloween came we called to just ask the delivery time which was 9-11am he confirmed it. Well that time came and passed and we started calling him around 12:00 to ask where is he was. He kept telling us the jumper is on his way. This was ongoing for the rest of the day and the jumper never came. This guy and company are a joke!!! Don't rely on this character if you want to make sure you have a jumper for your family to enjoy. He kept saying he couldn't find his driver throughout the entire day. Unfortunately I had the worst experience with p&m. I booked and paid for a bull and water slide they overbooked and ended up having to rent a bull from another vendor. I didn't get the bull set up till after 4. I am guessing they didn't have anymore water slides I didn't find out that the water slide wouldn't be showing up until I called p&m didn't get an answer and then got an excuse so I ended up with a party full of guest in water attire and no waterslide, never once did they communicate with me I had to keep calling I was told I'd get a refund and till this day still no communication I will let all my friends and family know about my experience so they can take there business elsewhere. If I could give them zero stars I would! Needed an enclosed canopy and a couple of heaters for our reception. We put down a large deposit because he was promising to bring it a day or 2 before our wedding. The day before our wedding and we had to call him from different numbers because he was purposely ignoring our calls. He was apologizing over and over again with ridiculous excuses on why he wasn't there with the canopy. My father in law was trying to get through to him while we were in the middle of our rehearsal and Marvin was so rude to say we will get there when we get there and proceeds to hang up on my father in law. They got there late the night before the wedding and didn't finish putting it up till after 11 PM. We still had to set up all of the tables, chairs, decorations, and did I mention he forgot the heaters? THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING Marvin had the audacity ask for the remainder of the payment! Please be aware of this business and do not rent from them. I contacted Marvin for some artificial turf to be set out for a baby shower of our newborn soon to arrive. I contacted him about 2 months before our event thinking we can book ahead of time to not have any issues. He gave me a good price and told me to come in to his store so I could make a deposit. The first day we agreed on a time and canceled because he said he was out measuring for a different party and asked if I could return tomorrow. The following day when I arrived I noticed his door was locked, I called and he said he was in the back room. He came out and locked the door behind me, didn't think too much of it, thinking maybe he just was closed and didn't want anyone else coming in. But now I know its because he's hiding from people he has taken money from. We talked a bit, and he started to mention everything else he could get me for our party. He gave me some really great prices and I told him I needed to talk it over with my wife, but I would pay the deposit up front for the turf. Payed and contacted him a few days later to see if I could go back and put a second deposit for the additional stuff he wanted to sell me. He stopped answering my calls and never returned my messages, and thats when I started noticing all the negative reviews about this business and how he is taking people money. Today is the Monday after my event, never got a call or message from this guy. Please if you are in the process of planning a party do not rent from this business. I was lucky enough that all I put down was a deposit for the turf, I can't imagine being asked out for more, if I would of made another deposit. Once I saw the negative reviews, I knew he would not respond back. I know he reads these reviews, so Marvin stop taking people's money and you are ruining special days and events for people by not showing up or never responding. I'd like to say that overall I had a good experience working with Marvin, but I really didn't. I ordered a throne chair and a balloon garland for my drive by shower on January 31st and then I had ordered tables, chairs, a smaller table for a gift table and another balloon garland for a small baby shower I had yesterday on the 6th. For the balloon garland, we were first told that his wife was the one that does everything but we ended up getting different people because his wife couldn't which was kind of off to me. For the tables and chairs we received another different company. We ordered a small table and tablecloth for the gifts that we never received. After my drive by shower, he said he was going to pick up the throne chair the day after, he never did and when I called he said he was actually going to see if I wanted to use it for my baby shower at no extra cost. So I said sure great! The day of my actual baby shower we had to keep calling him all morning to see where everything was and kept getting told that he'll call the people and figure out what was going on and that he'll call us back. To which he never did. This made me extremely nervous. It is now the day after and we're still waiting for the pickup. (They didn't pick up until 6PM on Valentine's Day and we never received a heads up or a call. We were literally about to leave to go pick up food and we saw someone at our door) It just seems that all he really has is the store and he orders all his stuff from other companies. We were really excited when we found out that we had a party supply store so nearby to us since my family and I moved up here to Lancaster 2 years ago. So we're fairly new to the area and don't know many places. I guess we'd have to keep looking because we won't be going here for any of our future parties. 1. Asked Marvin about his bad reviews on yelp. He simply told us that it was the competitor writing bad reviews on several accounts to make him look bad. 2. Told us he would set up our tent and tables on Thursday ( the party was going to be on Saturday so it would've been perfect to have an extra day to set up and plan our layout better. Waited all day Thursday and no one came. He promised us an earlier date because he wanted us to be "HAPPY" as courtesy! 3. Friday morning he told us his workers would come in 4-6 pm. His workers didn't show up until 7:30 PM to set up tent and tables. This gave us so much anxiety since the party was going to be the following day. He didn't even bother letting us know he was gonna be showing up later than expected. We had to call to find out what was going on. 4. Friday night - he gave us a small tent. He'd previously gotten the measurements for the backyard himself and promised us the perfect size tent. The tent covered half the backyard when it was suppose to be covering the entire backyard. (It was supposed to be raining a little bit the day of the party so we were worried) He even said he's been doing it for 17 years BUT STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT HE's DOING. HOW CAN YOU TRUST THESE PEOPLE IF THEY WILL RUIN YOUR EVENT! 5. He said we will be happy. Yes he dressed up the chairs which is not in our agreement but because he sent different chair (not as agreed). 6. Lights was too bright ... again! Not as agreed! So he changed it to 1 string of bulb lights AGAIN NOT AS WE HAVE AGREED. We were not given an extension cord AGAIN. He promised he would give us a power cord but he never showed up again since we gave him the payment already. We had to ask our neighbor for a power cord in order to make the lights work. Truly a mediocre business. Unprofessional and hard to work with. Save yourself the trouble and go to any other business to have your party set up. With Marvin's business we had way too many close calls. I told him beforehand, if he does a great job (which was what we were expecting) we would make sure all our guests would go to him for future events but after his mediocre work, I've told them to go some place else. I placed an order for party rentals and sent the 50.00 deposit through zelle to hold the date for my event. I tried contacting the owner multiple time via phone, at which time I was contacted through text to contact him via text not phone. Which struck me as odd. I responded back via text asking for a rental agreement or cancellation policy. Which they do not provide! I should of known then, that this business was nothing more than a scam. I take responsibility for my participation in ignoring the red flags. This company was the only one I found with the services I needed that others did not provide. The day of my event, the tables and chairs arrived at a different time then I requested.Upon the arrival I was told they did not have my complete order! After the tables and chairs arrived I contacted Marvin to see when the rest of my rentals would arrive and of course no answer. Later I received a text saying that the truck that brings the rentals was in a car accident and that the rest of my order was in the truck all I could think of at this point was is this a joke how could so many things be going wrong with receiving my order? I never received the complete order of rentals. As for the reimbursement that the owner assured me I would be receiving the next couple days after my event. A week later I received a partial payment that wasn't even half of what I was owed, Marvin contacted me and said i would be receiving the rest of my refund as soon as his fraud situation with his bank was resolved. It's has been over a month and nothing. Obviously I do not expect he will be giving me the money back. They must need it more than I do. Lesson learn and I hope others take time to read this review and be warned. Please do not fall subject to this unprofessional business transactions. read more

TOTAL SCAM! We were looking for someone to help us organize a Quinceanera- with setting up the tents, doing the decorations, and everything else that you'd expect from this sort of business. After some calls, We went to their store location in Lancaster, where they were seemingly setting up shop with different decorations laying around the shop, such as the 'royal chair' that we offered. While we were making the deals, he told us about all of the different things that he has done for other parties and even showed us pictures of their decorations at other events--- but in the end once we made the deal and put down the deposit that's when the entire charade fell apart. He completely started to ignore all of our calls, when we went to the shop it was closed even during operating hours. Apparently, the more you look into this scammer the worse that it gets, he never follows through with the agreements that he makes with people, people who are organizing major events, people who are being let down on their most important days because of this jerk. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH ANY MONEY,,, they are literally just tricking people all over the AV. If I could rate this trash company lower I would! My friend just hired this idiot for her wedding, there was supposed to be a big walled tent, a wedding arch, dance floor and a whole bunch of the amenities and it was supposed to be set up the day before the event (day of rehearsal). When we got there for the rehearsal the only thing on site was some of the tent parts with nothing set up whatsoever and no contact from the guy running things. Day of the wedding the tent was hardly set up, nothing else was on site and the guy in charge not only never showed up but even left his 3 person crew in site to catch his heat for the fuckup. All in all the wedding started nearly 3hrs late, half the tent was the only thing set up at all, his only crew member that stayed on site ended up in tears for most of the night and the entire wedding party was furious, to make it worse the guy in charge never showed up and hasn't been heard from since. If I could I would take a massive stinking shit on this fuckwits front doorstep. Dont waste your money, you WILL lose it. read more
