We worked out details and the technician was at my house with 15 minutes of us discussing the job. He wore a mask, which I appreciated and he got right to work. It was clear he had lots of experience and knew what he was doing. The problem was not an easy fix (something broke inside the cylinder) and he was in and out of the hot weather until the problem was identified and repaired. I left a message which was promptly returned and the representative told me he kept many of the older model car key blanks and he would need to verify my specific type before he could commit. He said if I could stop by his conveniently located shop he could verify and order the needed blacks if needed. He had the correct blank in stock and was able to quickly and correctly cut both keys filling my need. We had checked both Chevrolet dealer and GM directly and neither were willing to help with a 15 year old car. We had price quotes if other vendors had the blanks of as much as $40 dollars. Perks had both keys cut verified and a new key ring for a flat $20.00 including tax. The Rep also walked out to the car and verified both keys before he would fill out the invoice. I asked about a couple other type keys and a needed key fob for my other cars and he encouraged me to drop by with both dons and the truck so he could investigate.
