I've been to PF. Changs twice now and I can't say I've been pleased with either experience. The first time, the waitress was very nice and helpful, but it just took so long for the food to come. When we finally got the food, it was nothing to rave about. I ordered Crispy Honey Chicken and they put it on the plate on top of Little dry crispy's. I really don't know what they're called but I do know they tasted like styrofoam and looked like it too. My boyfriends food was served on what appeared to be ramen. It was a large portion of uncooked noodles in a bundle, and that's what they tasted like too. The second time we went, we had a great waiter, and we got the meal deal for two. The soup came out relatively quick and was tasty. The appetiser was steamed instead of fried and came out tasting like plastic. We sat for at least a half an hour trying to amuse ourselves waiting for our entree. Our waiter had already apologised a few times, which was nice, but it still took forever. Finally we got our food, and the same thing again. Neither of us as impresses. It was ok...but that's about it. The dessert was OK, but honestly I feel like they are charging to much for the name and should be putting more emphasis on the food. FYI- the menu does not tell you what the food is, only cute little catchy phrases that don't tell you anything so make sure you know what you like before you go there. read more

Last time here was a few years ago while visiting family. I was extremely disappointed with the food service and portion size and wrote about it. We decided to give it another chance and we were very satisfied in the changes made. Food was very good and plentiful, service was efficient and non intrusive. Two of us did the prix fixed menu. We had the the vegetable dumplings pan fried which I prefer the pork but not everyone does so we compromised. I had the kung pao chicken my wife had the Korean stir fry ( I'll order that next time) and my daughter had the honey chicken. All were excellent! We had the wonton and hot and sour soup. My wife loved the wonton soup with the tofu and shrimp! Hot and sour was both hot and sour . Then the desserts which we chose the salted caramel and the chocolate peanut butter. Both were the right size for three of us to share but would get two chocolate PB's next time. My faith has been restored. read more

Went with friends to PF Changs today for happy hour and dinner. I had a wonderful experience. Our waiter Julian (jay) was the BEST! He gave great food suggestions and was very knowledgeable about menu selections and what he didn't know he went and found the answer. He gave excellent customer service and was very patient we us. A storm came while we were there and my friend started to panic but Julian continued to give Awesome service. I would like apologize for rushing him with the checks because we was worried abt the weather. Food was great. My sister and I split 3 lunches so that we could try several things. The changs chicken was the best.

Very disappointing experience, mainly due to the service. We came in with our two young daughters mid-afternoon for a late lunch. It was not crowded at all. My wife ordered soup and our toddler spilled it in both her/mom's lap - despite three servers nearby who witnessed this, no one bothered to ask to help us, show concern over the child that had hot soup in her lap, bring us napkins, or offer another bowl of soup. Baby was rushed to bathroom to get cleaned up. When the server did come and we asked for napkins we were brought cocktail napkins. Apps and food was served but no plates were brought to the table. When we asked for extra plates and napkins we were given one plate and one napkin. I had to get up to get napkins from the bar - cocktail napkins again. There was really no excuse for the lack of attention. Everyone at the table should be brought a plate especially when apps and shared entrees are ordered. Extra napkins should also be provided, especially when kids are present. Food portions have also gotten smaller over the years. I will not re-visit this location. read more

Great experiences when they first opened, welcoming staff, traditional menu, and then something changed. Our last visit surprised us with a fresh and inviting menu, however, even with the lack of a full restaurant, we seemed to be an inconvience. We'll wait a few months and try again, hopefully with a different staff. read more

We've eaten here several times over the past year and a half, and each time the experience has declined. Tonight, we were told we needed to wait a few minutes for a table to be cleaned. 10 minutes later, we were sat at a table that was "clean" and set when we arrived. The table had been wiped with a dry cloth, but had obviously not washed. I didn't want to start the meal off with an irritated server, so I washed the table myself with water from my cup when it came. The spring rolls were delicious as usual. We always order fried rice and suck up the extra $5.50 up charge because we really like it. The bowls are usually full, but tonight, there were 2 spoonfuls of rice in the order. 2 spoonfuls for an additional $5.50. I got beef Nd broccoli, which I've had many times before. This time the food was cold, the beef seemed like it had been sitting out for sometime, and the broccoli was near raw, extra crunchy. The flavor was good as usual, but the cold meal was not up to par. I've never felt comfortable sending food back to the kitchen, so ate and said nothing, especially given that we were there for my husband's birthday. Didn't want to ruin the evening. This may sadly be the last time we visit this place. read more

We just ate there last night, and this location needs a lot of practice before it can match the other PF Changs. I would wait a few months before going. It is still very busy because it is new. In this economy, save your money until they work out all the kinks so you can truly enjoy your experience. Here is what we found: The food was SALTY and did not match the recipes you get at other locations. I have been to the ones in San Diego, and Pittsburgh. The servers are inexperienced- Our waiter brought us wine glasses for our sake. To top off the hilarity, he pronounced sake wrong. Instead of sa-keh, he said sake, like rake. That's like asking for a fah-jee-tah at a Mexican restaurant. (fajita) We waited 20 minutes for our reservation- 8pm on a Sunday? The order was screwed up on 2 out of 4 dishes we ordered. We asked for water 3 times. The highlight was that the manager offering us free dessert which we happily accepted, but it made us miss our movie. (1 hour and 50 minutes total time spent in the restaurant) OH! and the waiter forgot to remove the "free desserts" from the check which took another 10 minutes to remove. ABOUT PF CHANG'S in general: PF Changs is a chain restaurant of Chinese food. They have a modern flare to some of the dishes, but it really is just Chinese food. The plates are not a huge portion like in other Chinese restaurants- $14 for a seafood dish which is mostly noddles. $8 for vegetable dish with white rice. Veggie options galore! The extra price is for the atmosphere and fancy decor which it beautiful. This is great for a special event/date night. read more

I've been to PF Changs many times and in many different locations. Last night I tried the Annapolis PF Changs and was not impressed! The service was very slow! And when our dinners finally got there half of them were hot and half of them you could tell had been sitting out for awhile. My husband's was awful and he asked for a new one. It took almost 20 mins for his new meal to come out. this time the rest of the table was finished with their meals. The manager came over but didn't say much. Unlike other PF Changs in the area, e.g., Columbia or Rockville, this Chang's is poorly run, has staff that is substandard, and is badly managed with non-responsive management. The food is poorly prepared compared to other Chang locations. Don't waste your money at this one. Try Columbia. They know what they are doing. read more

Even though we had a reservation and arrived a little early we were told there would be a 20 minute wait - not a good start. After 20 minutes we asked how much longer and we were told soon, When asked why such a wait with a reservation we were told they were busy and if we hadn't made a reservation it would be an hour. after 40 minutes of standing in a crushed cold Lobby we were seated. The service was poor to say the least; the waiter was standing behind me waiting for me to take my last bite - he had already cleared my wife's plate. Food was OK; nothing great but definiteyt fresher tasting than most Chinese places. It would take something special to get us to go back. read more

Worst birthday dinner ever!! I went to this PF Chang's to celebrate my birthday. Reservations were at 6:30pm for a party of 20, we arrived around 6:20pm and was seated right away...but we did not leave until 10:00pm, that's right, 10:00pm for a 6:30 pm reservation which we arrived early for. Dinner started off okay but went down hill pretty quickly. It took over 45 mins for some of my guest appetizers to arrive and over an hour for our entrees. My sister didn't order here entrée at all because the server never came back to get her order. I had another guest who order his and his wife drinks and appetizers when they arrived only to received them 10 mins before their food...over an hr for drinks and appetizers. We had to constantly ask the waiter to bus our table or for drink refills. We complained to the manager about our service and her offered to give us dessert... really. We didn't need dessert as I had my birthday cake. The manager or the staff did not seemed concerned with our displeasure. After the food finally came most people didn't even want to eat as it took so long. We asked 5 or more time for them to bring my cake out so we could leave. After another 45 mins of waiting for them to bring the cake out, they sit it on another stand away from our table for another 10 mins. One of y guest eventually when over to pick up the cake and cut it our self. The bill, that's another story, it took another 30-45 minutes to separate the checks. The manger did finally take something off of our bills, but honestly for the whole experience out meals should have been free. At no point during the situation did the manager or waitress over an apology or explanation on what the problem was. My whole birthday experience was ruined and I will never came to the PF Chang's again. read more

Heard good things about this place from friends so talked my picky-eater husband into going there for dinner the day before his birthday. I love sushi and they now serve it so I thought it would be the best of both (Japanese and Chinese) worlds. Our waitress was pleasant enough, although not overly attentive considering it was a rainy Thursday night and the place was pretty empty. I ordered the lobster avocado roll with a side of spinach with garlic and my husband ordered his standard sweet and sour chicken. When our order arrived I had to ask for soy sauce (none on the table) and salt and pepper. Our waitress actually told me that they only bring soy sauce on request, now. What?? She went and took 2 other tables' orders before she brought it to me. When she did bring the soy sauce she did not bring a dish to put it in to mix the wasabi with it. Really? I had to ask for that next time she came by. Duh! My husband's sweet and sour chicken was not a very large portion, but that was okay for him because he never finishes his portions from take-out restaurants and is not a leftover eater so it was sufficient. I asked him how it was and he said "Okay", which is his way of saying it was fine.(He does that when I ask him about my cooking, too!) My lobster roll was good - I asked for brown rice instead of white and it came with a little spicy mayo and was very tasty although it seemed not authentic Asian but a little Americanized. Still.....I liked it a lot. My spinach with garlic was very oily but piping hot and delish w/lots of garlic in it. Our waitress did not stop by in the middle of the meal to see how we were doing. Lots of young people working there, looking bored and discontented. Overall, I would judge it as I judge other chain restaurants, good, but not special. Still, I would probably eat here again if joined by friends. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at PF Changs and its one of my favorite places to eat. The hostess sat us down at a dirty table. I asked if she could wipe if off. She replied I will have the server wipe it again if you like...As to say it was clean and I was just being extra. The server comes over and I asked if he could wipe the table while holding the menus and napkin rolled silverware. The grabs a towel off the nearest stand and proceeds to wipe as I sit there. The towel is already full of rice from a previous clean up, so he is literally smearing the rice on the table as he wipes. I am livid at this point. He walks away and comes back asking for drinks. What?? I asked for a paper towel. He comes back over with two paper napkins and begins to vigorously wipe the table. So this tells me he saw the smeared food but was just going to leave it there. I could tell he was not very pleased with me at this point, so I tried to reason with him. I explained that I wasn't trying to be a jerk but that no one wants to eat a dirty table. It fell on def ears. We should have left but my date insisted it would be better. It wasn't the waiter continued to ignore me, speaking only to my date. And to top it off the food was horrible. I will never eat here again. read more
