First time customer and last time customer, all in one. I was in the area running a few errands and decided to stop by East Delight for a quick meal. I ordered the cheesesteak egg-rolls and shrimp lo mein. Let's start with the positive. Service was friendly, efficient, and fast. You can either dine in or take-out, but it's basically a carry-out restaurant. My food was bland and lacked any flavor. The lo mein had waaaay too many noodles and not enough shrimp. The egg rolls barely had any filling. Just a disappointing experience. Not sure where I can find a decent Chinese carry-out in the area, but this isn't it. read more

Quick and fresh Chinese food is always good for the neighborhood Chinese joint. The mambo sauce was good except t spilled all over my white bed spread. I am not an expert on Mumbo sauce but seemed decent enough. The fried chicken wings, fried rice and egg rolls were good. The service was fast with a smile. BTW they are closed on thanksgiving which is unusual. read more

I really wanted crunchy and perfect sweet and sour chicken but was getting delivery so my hopes weren't too high. This was the best sweet and sour chicken I've had in the area !!! I also got the bbq boneless spare ribs really juicy ! The sweet and sour chicken had nice crunchy and perfectly cooked chicken and it was the better amount of batter too. Def recommend read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the carry out from East Delight! We ordered takeout for 4 adults and 1 child so we ordered a variety: - spare ribs -spring roll - hot and sour soup - general Tso - Mongolian beef Everything was delicious except the hot and soup soup. I wasn't a fan of that but everything else was delicious and hot upon arrival. My favorite was the general tso -- it wasn't chewy or over cooked like many places! We ordered a buttload of food on a Saturday night right around dinner time for a group of about 9. We placed the order by phone and after reading the order back to us to ensure everything was correct, we were told our food would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived a little early so I had to wait a few minutes but we ended up ordering so much we also got a free 2-liter of Coke (lol) to go with all our food. As far as the food goes it's pretty much what you would come to expect from Chinese. Doesn't really hit the spot in any significant way but gets the job done. The shrimp egg foo young was good. The service was excellent and the waiting area was comfortable.

I got the wonton soup and it wasn't life changing at all. Not to put too much pressure on soup but the Flo or wasn't all there and the dough that the meat in the wonton soup tasted odd. I will say that the meat filling was tasty. Will try again one day read more

No thrills "chinese" food, BUT delicious with actual decent quality ingredients. If you looking for a typical chinese carry out fare, then East Delight is your place to go. From fried wings to steam dumplings, you'll find something either salty, sweet, or savory. The lunch General Taos is not only good, but fairly cheap. If you expecting imported aged-steak and lobster Lo mein this probably isn't the place for you. If your looking for the best neighborhood chinese food stop...then I recommend East Delight. So I got the chicken and mix vegetables. Good portion size, good assortment of veggies (carrots, broccoli, corn, mushrooms, cabbage, green beans and celery). Veggies crispy and not overcooked. But alas the chicken was almost mushy. I want to say it was over tenderized so it is not recognizable as chicken. And not a brown sauce, the cornstarch thickened but no saice type. Kitchen looked really clean and you could see them cooking. So I will be back but not for a chicken dish. read more

The food used to be good and I'd order all the time. This is my second time giving them the benefit of the doubt hoping they'd cook the fried rice like they used to. It is extremely bland and it isn't fried at all. It's mushy yellow rice that was steamed along with whatever else you get in it. I don't if they got a new cook but save your money. Only good thing is the spring rolls. Also the boy/ man, whatever you wanna call him, who took my order lacks customer service skills and played the game on his phone while taking my order. Delivery is pretty quick. I frequently order their combination pad thai along with crab rangoon and i'm always satisfied afterward. The combination pad thai is very different from other restaurants i've frequented. It has a sweeter taste to it and the noodles appear to be flavored. Have been a patron here for years, moved away for some time and then returned last winter. This past Sunday night shortly before closing, we ordered mixed vegetable & beef and shrimp curry. I ate one small portion of the mixed veggies and beef and upon getting a second serving a big piece of hair was in the food. I saved the food & returned the next afternoon to get a refund. This has never happened at this establishment before. The young lady at the register had very long hair but it was in a ponytail and a gentlemen cooking had on a hat. I may return in the future since the young man at the register was very nice and apologetic during the refund process. Stricter food handling precautions should be taken, especially since staff has straight hair that naturally sheds very easily. read more

Ordered an entree from the health option (steamed, no oil used, sauce on the side from two choices) but they forgot my sauce and I was bummed as it is pretty bland without sauce considering it is just the meat and veggies steamed. Soups are good not all clumpy like it's been sitting in a pot for days simmering all the water out so that is a plus. Good lazy night take out. read more

I gave them a call back and the lady on the phone was very rude and tried to say the order was correct. Just don't order food from this place! They are rude and dirty. I'm not sure what happened to the quality of this food but it's definitely gone downhill. Aside from the hour delivery time for 3 entrees (I'm willing to forgive this as it was 4 pm on a Friday), the food just seemed to be "off". None of the typical Chinese flavors that you'd expect to be in the food were there. With my Kung Pao Tofu, I could count the number of peanuts (maybe 10) and the tofu was cooked to the consistency of jerky. On top of that, the sauce didn't taste of anything -- and was lukewarm at best. I thought maybe it was just my meal, so I moved on to the vegetable fried rice. It smelled right-- but tasted like it must have been reheated. None of the vegetables has any flavor to them. While all that I've had thus far from this restaurant is the mixed vegetables with garlic sauce and brown rice, I am very pleased with this dish, which I've had at other Chinese restaurants. What makes their dish very tasty to me is that the vegetables are plentiful and fresh, and the garlic sauce is quite yummy! It appears that they have added a touch of sweetness to it that is not overbearing. It's just right. What's more, this yummy, largely proportioned dish is less than $10.
