The office manager makes sure you don't have any wait time, always welcoming and always polite. Doctor Elena is very thorough, she explains things and spends time with her patients. She gives out samples and eye contacts arrive pretty quickly. The place is neat, you can purchase nice frames from them too!

Appt call: the office mgr had no idea what she was doing and she did not create a file for me nor gathered my benefits. Appt Day: since no file, I had to give the mgr my name and member information no less than three times in 15 mins. She had a week to get my benefits but did not. Wasted my time and optometrist was sitting right there and said nothing. She behaved as though she was above all that. Glasses Retrieval: 1) they did not get the transition option with my glasses even though it was charged to my insurance. 2) They put a reading prescription on my main glasses and 3) a short distance prescription on the other one. I mean whhhhyyyy? Both glasses are to be used by me for the same reason (I can't see far distances) so why have diff scripts for each? Then they blamed me for that so I told BOTH of them off and used some choice language. I returned both glasses and got a refund. Don't blame me for your lack of professionalism and dereliction of duty. Filed a complaint with my insurance and with the state board of optometry. Seems this optometrist has a history of doing the wrong thing with patients and getting away with it. There are patients who don't know better so it is up to the professionals to do right by patients by dr Elena Vitezon has shown she is not a nice or kind person nor does she care about patients. Be careful.

I walked in with no appointment and the technician told he would try to fix it without my getting a new frame. After lunch, I walked in again and he had fixed the glasses, cleaned them and given me anew case without a charge. I will continue to be a customer gladly.

    DISAPPOINTING and SHOCKING Experience at America's Best in Clifton…read more I've visited America's Best in Clifton twice, and unfortunately, my experiences were vastly different. During my first visit 9/26/24, the staff was exceptional. They were welcoming, attentive, and made the process seamless. I left with a great impression of the store. However, my second visit on 10/10/24 was a disaster. We were seated with Mariliz, and though she seemed polite at first, it quickly became clear that she was unprofessional, combative, disrespectful, ghetto all while still struggling to do the mere basics of her job . Felicia, another employee, had to assist multiple times. Felicia was excellent--professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. She even stepped in to measure us for glasses because Maria wasn't allowed to, despite Maria offering. When corrected, Mariliz loudly said that it wasn't in her job description, so she wasn't going to do anything extra, and that they weren't paying her to do so, which felt extremely unprofessional and it seemed like she thought that would have impressed us, but nonetheless it didn't, but it did tell us that she was not cut out for any job that involved servicing the guests. As the appointment progressed, Mariliz's attitude worsened. When I asked if she was a new employee, due to needing so much help, she responded in a confusing and defensive manner, claiming she knew what she was doing but also didn't know how to do it. Her comments were sarcastic and contradictory. Then, when I asked for a breakdown of the total cost of the glasses before paying, she flatly told me I'd get the details after I paid, brushing off my concern entirely. At this point, I asked for a manager, hoping to get some assistance and to see if anyone in charge was aware of how unprofessional their team member was acting. Mariliz responded abruptly and with a sarcastic tone, saying that the manager wasn't there but I could call him tomorrow. This dismissive and non-caring attitude was shocking, and it was before she even gave me the total amount due. Things escalated when I requested to deal with Felicia instead. Mariliz became visibly upset, raising her voice, making sarcastic comments, getting in a stance to fight. Both my sister and I got up because in no way shape or form we are going to let ourselves get blindsided by an unruly employee. Mariliz finally storming off in an aggressive manner. Both my sister and I were stunned by her behavior. Mariliz even went into another room where we could hear her banging on walls, like she was aggressive animal trying to get out her cage. Felicia apologized repeatedly, but the damage was already done. The assistant manager Olga eventually came over, but shockingly admitted she didn't know how to handle the situation. She assured us that leadership would be informed and promised a follow-up call, whic never happened, which we already knew was going to happen because we were informed that she's a slacker at her job. As someone who manages over 100 employees, I found the lack of accountability appalling. No one in charge seemed to take control of the situation. While Felicia went above and beyond to try and salvage the experience, the overall service was the worst I've ever encountered. I cannot recommend this location based on my second visit unless serious changes are made to address the unprofessional behavior we experienced.
