After seeing so many positive reviews I chose this place to get my glasses. After going there personally I DID NOT FEEL ANYTHING EXCEPTIONAL. It was just REGULAR, ORDINARY eyecare center. They were professional and gave me space to choose the frame. The staff who attended me was polite but personally I felt they could have been little more friendly. When I asked her to explain the pros and cons for a particular frame she came out with a one line answer "It is a personal choice". i felt the staff did her job but there is nothing like super friendly or plesant or anything helpful that makes me happy and choose maple again. Atleast I did not see anything like that. Just a REGULAR, ORDINARY eye care center. 1) As I stated very clearly this is my personal opinion based on my experience which I had with you guys 2) Seeming satisfied and being satisfied are two different things. I may have seemed satisfied but I was not. When I asked for frames I was just shown few frames and when I raised few questions about a frame I was just told its personal preference. This answer for you may seem satisfied but to me I was not happy. 3) FYI,My first glasses were not made else where. This was bought in your showroom only last year. I think before you respond me please do some homework. I asked you for a pair of nose pads which you replaced for free and thanks. Is this what you meant as repair? read more

Horrible follow up . Went for my annual a few weeks ago and was given a trial pair of contacts - no one followed up. I called after a week the person who answered the phone said she would call me back - three Fridays ago. I said I was going on a business trip and wanted a written prescription in case I needed never heard back. Ive been a client for over 10yrs not sure whats going on but I will be moving on. read more

As my visual acuity diminishes, so does my patience for ill fitting or poorly made eye ware. I use an ophthalmologist for eye exams, but fitting glasses that reliably work for me is another matter. This not just about vanity or coolness -- how comfortably I see the world and its people and how well I interpret what I see/read is mission critical to my work and play. After some recent bad experiences elsewhere, I decided to give Maple a try and I am well pleased. They carry a nice selection of trendy frames and will fit your own frames with lenses if you wish. I like Persol and they retrofitted my frames perfectly with state of the art lenses and even adjusted my back up glasses so they fit better. Maple accepts insurance and in our case, this resulted in deeply discounted prices for the service, and I do so like a bargain. read more

These folks are rude and have a bad attitude with "some" of their clients ; Perhaps because we don't use the optometrists linked to their practice and instead use the optometrist who's renting a space from them.....my husband and I live in Ridgewood and have been clients for the past 4 years and have been observing their behavior has steadily become rude and dismissive for the past year .. I was there to drop off my husband's new eye glasses for repair and the technician was very rude and said dismissively he must have sat on them or "rolled over on them"... She did not say it in a joking manner but with a clear hostile demeanor. Is this the way to talk to customers? Such classless behavior! I told her things happen with eyeglasses and SVPs for technology consulting in financial services don't sit on their glasses or "roll over them" or destroy them wantonly and that was a frivolous thing to say! This is really an unacceptably bad attitude and callous behavior with long term clients ! We aren't going back there .. I'm leaving my eyeglass insurance money with them in the hope they might train their staff to be better at working with "some" of their clients ..The lady sitting in the reception was supposed to be the practice manager but clearly she had no interest in taking feedback. She just looked at me like a deer in the headlights and said she didn't understand how it's rude behavior ! She witnessed the entire exchange....We miss a lady called Karen at that practice .. she was always very nice and polite and helpful .. the new person is rude and almost hostile! We will go back to Ridgewood Eyewear... we were with them for 2 years before these folks and always had a wonderful experience .. Angela the business owner was always very courteous and helpful and never rude! It was a big mistake moving to Maple Eyecare ... we moved because our optometrist had rented a space from them in their building ; There is no value for a customer's business here neither any value for customer relationship... They think they can get away with any sort of behavior... Sorry going to vote with our wallet here! read more

This eye care center is fully equipped with everything you can possibly look for in eye care profession! The staff and doctors are extremely nice and professional. The appointment went very well, the optometrist and the staff were friendly and thorough. The wait time was minimum. When it comes time to selecting eye glasses or contacts, the staff wasn't pushy at all, which was refreshing. I picked up the glasses within the week, all went well. Now the reason for the 2 star. I opted for index 1.74 lenses, and paid the premium for them. When I picked them up, the lenses seemed quite thick to me, but it wasn't until I came home and compared with the pair of glasses I got a year ago that's almost the same prescription -- and a lower index 1.67 lenses -- did I realize that Maple Eyecare must have made a mistake with the order. I am pretty sure this was an honest mistake, but if I didn't have an old pair to compare with, I would have paid a lot more for the pair of cheap thick lenses. I will contact the store next week and hopefully resolve this issue quickly. I'll update the review based on the outcome. read more

We have been coming to Maple Eyecare for a while and for the first time decided to purchase a pair of sunglasses that were scratch, call and was told that they don't have a return policy on glasses, I thought that was very odd. The staff is very professional and kind but the glasses sales individual very rude over the phone when I explained to her that the pair of glasses was already damaged. Lost our business. read more

Receptionist is very rude and cannot own up to their mistakes, but instead project their attitude on the customer. Booked an appointment weeks in advance and receptionist waited until the day before to cancel my appointment because of their mistake. Very inconvenient, especially when you work full time and have limited days off. I suggest looking elsewhere, especially with these type of attitudes. read more

I haven't been to the eye doctor in probably 20 years and was afraid to hear what the doctors might say since it had been so long! The office was busy but the front desk staff was very friendly and kind, and walked me through the pictures and pressure that needed to be taken. I saw Dr Napolitano - who was my motivator to finally start taking care of my eyes- and she was great! So glad I went and glad I chose Maple Eye Care! read more

I'm in the process of looking for a new local eye place, because after a few years here, I'm just fed up with the staff. The doctors are great (napolitano Et al), but the people who handle orders and take calls almost always have an attitude. Not worth my time and money and energy....probably not worth yours either. read more

This was my first visit to Maple Eye Care. I enjoyed the clean, bright space. All staff members were professional, friendly and efficient. They saw me right on time. Dr. Napolitano carefully explained what my retinal scans showed, and recommended care for my eyes at home. When it came time to select eye glass frames, Lynne the office manager, and Kathy the optician, offered advice for what looked better on me, but more importantly which frames fit my face the best for comfort. I've been going to Maple Eyecare for sometime now, not only for myself but for my son as well. This is a great Optometrist. The doctor is open and honest with you and very detailed. My son and I have different situations one that gets progressively worse and questions do arise but never go unanswered. The staff is very friendly professional and patient. read more

HORRIBLE STAFF AND THEY OVER CHARGE FOR CONTACT LENS EVALUATION. MOST places charge $50 - maple eye care does $65! The doctors are great, but the staff is horrid. The lady that deals with frames and lenses is miserable and impatient. If you have questions- she will huff and puff and basically expect YOU to know the answers. I had to flat out tell her- " you should know this- b/c I dont work here and I'm asking the question because I don't know what you have to offer, etc." I felt extremely uncomfortable and wanted to RUN away- but I needed a pair of glasses. I'm now going to another eye doctor. Its not worth the rude behavior and excess fees. read more

I have been to several doctor's offices over the last year and Maple Eyecare is one of the best. The technology in this office is incredible and the doctor was happy to answer all my questions during the exam. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I chose a beautiful pair of designer frames and the opticians explained my vision plan to me making sure I maximized my benefits. This is the easiest doctor's visit I've ever had. I highly recommend this office. The wait time is very short. Even when I show up early, they let you know the wait time in advance (rarely more than 20 minutes). There are plenty of glasses to look at while you wait. Any time an intern is working with you, they'll let you know they're an intern, and they're very helpful and actually listen to anything you're concerned about, taking notes for your recrod. The technology is up-to-date (no eye drops to dilate your pupils - they can take high definition photos of the insides of your eyes now). I've had Dr. Lori Napolitano each time I went, and she remembered me, reviewed my chart and compared my symptoms this year to last year (dry eyes). I highly recommend them, they always tell you, if you have any worries, give them a call. read more

These people are HORRID. When I called I was told they accept my insurance plan, months later I get an ABSURD bill from them. I call back and am told that OOPS we don't accept this plan and the lady proceeds to tell me that it is not their offices responsibility to advise which insurances they participate with. More so their pricing is insane. You get the same service and quality for 1/2 the price anywhere else. read more

I had an exam with Dr Pamela Rajkowski and she is amazing ! She is thorough and very good with discussing problems and options. She gave me my first pair of reading glasses that are D&G. The frame selections are awesome anywhere from Silhouette, Gucci,Fendi, D&G, Coach and Oakley. There were so many selections and they have an amazing staff that are extremely helpful. I give 5 stars to Maple and suggest you make an appointment !! read more
