The Grey Goat is a great addition to Branford. While it may look small from the outside, it is…read morepacked full of home decor, jewelry, candles, deserts, wine, coffee and more! As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted by the owner Jonathan. He is friendly and kind and genuinely cares about his customers. Additionally, each week there is a new menu that always includes one type of soup, salad, sandwich and desert. I have enjoyed everything I've tried from the menu with the most recently being the eggplant wrap and Cuban quesadilla. I definitely recommend stopping in and supporting this small business and owner! You won't be disappointed.

Have been a customer at least 4 times. Recently brought my best friend from NY. Owner didn't know who I was ( understandable) many people frequent the store. But I was mortified in front of my friend when the owner admitted to not knowing who I was, then when I explained, I was quickly dismissed. Guess it's true what they say, middle aged woman are invisible. Word to the wise ( or in this case, the shop owner...) We have all come to realize that even though a product shows availability in the Target APP…read moresometimes it is not available as advertised because of a variety of reasons such as theft or poor inventory control. But that this is of little consolation to a person who is making a medical purchase. Specifically, dry eye eye drops. I was looking for a product that was selling for $26.49 but that the product was unavailable and the next equivalent product was selling for $29.99, $3.50 higher; the lower priced products had chemical preservatives which I am sensitive to. I went to the customer service desk seeking a small discount and I was denied any discount consideration. This was not the courtesy I expected at the customer service desk. I left feeling not just exactly right about the whole experience. No compassion, no courtesy.

I have only been to this Target twice, and hated it both times, but mostly due to this second trip…read more I went to buy 3 pairs of Levis ($60 each) and some sandals around 6pm on a Monday, but was told by the employee folding clothes that the dressing rooms closed at 5pm (despite the store being open until 11pm) I went to ask the manager about this, and she said "So what". Y'see, if there was some reason (many thefts after 6pm via the changing rooms, or just "company policy") than I suppose that might make sense, but to say "So What" and walk away is stupid and rude. Aside from losing a $200 sale, you lost a customer FOR LIFE. Since Amazon's prices are WAY less.... you have only TWO advantages: A customer's ability to try things on for size, and face-to-face customer service. Flush those two things down the toilet, then DON'T be so surprised when your store is chosen to be shut down.
