We purposefully drive older vehicles ( insurance is cheaper with teen drivers) all with over 100,000 miles and 3 with over 200,000 miles. We live on dirt roads with potholes so our vehicles get the wear from that and teenage drivers. I have always been treated great. They are honest about when they can get to a vehicle which is generally within a couple of days but often the day of. They are honest about what needs to be done now and what could wait if financially we needed to wait a little longer..( never steered us wrong yet.) The owner, manager Ryan, and repair technician have never spoken down to me. They explain what was wrong and ask if I have any questions. When giving a quote they look up the cost of item in a book or online and then add Labor... Which I love because I know they are not just trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. I would just like to add in the the 8 years I've been using this auto repair service I've never spoken with a front desk person other than the owner or Ryan who are both males. I've never heard a swear word in the customer area. And my vehicles have never smelled like smoke. My gas is never lower than I would expect not the mileage. I will continue using the car repair place for all the issues that we are unequipped to handle ourselves.

I heard of Avery's from local partnerships around town-- so I finally bit the bullet and called to bring my car in for repairs... I don't remember 100% but I think we were quoted around 1600 for repairs? Anyhow, after my car was completed, the total was a lot less than what was quoted over the phone. I was extremely impressed, not to mention, my car no longer sounded like it was shooting bullets everytime I stepped on the gas pedal I would truly recommend Avery's! I called and confirmed they dispatched a truck, and said if we knew they were in Lapeer we would have gotten someone local. The guy answering starts yelling at me, tells me not to give him that, and that they're local, and their driver is 15 minutes out. I responded that they could have led with that, to which he says "well you could have acted like an adult" and hung up on me. Most unprofessional conduct I have experienced in decades. The tow truck driver, on the other hand was the complete opposite of the dispatcher. He was friendly, helpful and got the car started immediately.

I don't know about everyone else, but with gas at 4.79 a gallon (for my truck) and not living next to the gas station, coupled with the ridiculous price to get tires balanced nowadays, would double the cost of the cost of the job for me. When I asked if I could get a discount (I did not ask for a dollar amount) for the second trip to pick them up...I was laughed at and told "We have so much business it doesn't matter". Well, it must be nice to be so well off that you can piss on the little (not so well off) guy. I have given the Parshes' my business for a few years now. I finish by saying...
