It was horrible! I tried this salon 3 times already and I hate it. Smells like food sometimes is really dirty the waxing area is really not the most pleasant... The last time was the worst. I did my eyebrows and upper lip, they charged me $26!!! Is incredible how bad they are I supposed to do my nails too but they will just keep me waiting forever. Do not go there! Save your money. Better not have things done then have them done there. read more

Sadly this salon gets Zero star's from me. PT nails are obsolete. GPS will direct you to Acute Nails. The new owners (husband & wife partnership) continue to gain new clients through reviews for PT nails. In town for a few days celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and wanted to treat him to relaxing afternoon with a manicure & pedicure. Read a few reviews on salons nearby and the reviews to PT nails were very good. Upon arrival, we noticed the name had changed. We walked in and I asked the man at station 1 if this was PT Nails. His reply was unclear and he seemed a bit irritated that I asked. Came in with the intention to both get a mani/pedi, but after the not-so-good service I received by a man name "Hi", I opted out of the manicure. I was shocked to find out that "Hi" is one of the owners! His body language and personality was off-putting. It's obvious he does not want to be there. It appeared he attempted to correct his attitude when I told him partially jokingly that Ri, the girl working on my boyfriend, would receive his tip. I then asked if he was the owner and he jokingly replied, "I only work on feet all day." Before I settled our bill, the owner recommended an Asian restaurant which I'm sure it was his, since the salon was advertising a restaurant on one of three television. Unbelievable! On a better note, if you decide to visit Acute Nails in Pinetop ask for Ri or Ally. They were personable and have great energy. Thank you for taking very good care of my boyfriend on his bday, Ri. This rating is solely for the owner of Acute Nails. Unfortunately, I couldn't post this review without leaving a star. I tried this place again because it was under new ownership. They did an okay job on the foot soak, callus removal, and pedicure. When I said I would prefer my toe nails to be buffed, instead of polished, she did so without remarks - then charged me $5 extra at checkout. I was surprised, because she never told me it would cost extra. It makes no sense, because they didn't have to apply polish, and I was out of their chair and made space for the next client more quickly. They have poor communication about services and expectations. I totally get that there may be a language barrier, but other places have a printed menu where clients can choose their options and see prices. I will not be returning. read more

I cannot believe there aren't more reviews about this nail salon. I have tried three in the area so far and this one is by far the best! I made an appointment for an acrylic fill and gel at 2:30, got there a little bit early and was able to get in right away, out by 3:15. There were quite a few customers there so I was happy with the immediate service I received as many places are overbooked and you have to wait quite some time. I absolutely love how my nails turned out and will definitely be going back! read more

I think nail salon was okay, but I didn't have the best experience. First of all I came at 9:30 when they opened, I noticed there was still tools in the sterilization liquid which is kind of weird. I came in and picked my color and got sat down. The lady did not push back my cuticles or clip them or anything which was kind of irritating. She just started buffing and all that. She applied the tips getting a good amount of glue on my finger tips the rest of the process was okay but she made one of my nails super wonky. Actually Nails by Tracy. They did a great job! Love my acrylics with flowers on them. Kinda hard to understand them at times. You will have to ask for a design if you want it and they don't ask if you want jewels so say no if they bring them out. Other than that I have no complaints. read more

Wow! We gave this a try randomly. My sister and I both agreed that it was the best foot/leg massage we've ever had...great hand massage, hot stones, and hot cloth. Wow! Our pedicures turned out beautifully and we left feeling relaxed and invigorated. People are friendly and pricing is terrific. read more

This place is not P.T. Nails, but rather Nails by Tracy. The nail technician did a great job on my pedicure, but I took off 1 star because I was constantly confused as to exact cost of what ended up being "added services." When I initially booked a pedicure with callous removals via phone, I was variously told either $28 or $30. When asked if I wanted to also get a manicure, I said I only remove the cuticles on my fingernails and I do not need polish or to have my nails shaped or 'ground down'; on phone I was told either $8 or $10 for cuticles only. After the service was over, I was asked for $45 instead of the $36-40 I had expected. (Note: I typically pay $26-$30 for same treatments at several nail salons where I live ... none of these prices include a tip - and I am a good tipper). When I called to make the appointment, I understood there would be an extra charge for removing callouses (note to Sylvia G.-almost all salons charge extra for that!). I feel the main problem was miscommunication, partly due to my technician's inability to speak English. In retrospect, each time she asked me if she wanted me to do something (e.g., aside from removing callouses), she NEVER ONCE explained there would be an additional charge. I mentioned to her that I had asked for callous removal, so I knew there was an extra charge for that, but that I didn't want other "extras." So, afterwards, I was confused as to how the extra charges crept into the picture. In the final analysis, I paid $40 instead of $45, and since this is a resort area I figured that's why it costs $40 instead of $28 (not that the O.C. is a cheap place to live). I think when she did the leg massage (which all of my salons usually do - just not with hot stones), I didn't realize that there may have been an extra cost for this, because she didn't say so. Thus, I agree with Catherine K. - they do a great job but they are hard to understand at times. If they ask you "Do you want ...?" just say "NO" or ask them to tell you exactly how much rubbing 2 hot stones up & down on your legs will cost you! read more

I've been going here since it was recommended to me around 2013 and have never been disappointed with the service. It's very clean and the people are very friendly. The cost is very reasonable and for $5 more, they will buff rather than paint my nails which is what I prefer. I was talking to a man and his wife who were both getting pedicures and he was sorry he hadn't come in sooner. Now he comes once a month. read more

I would highly recommend never stepping foot into this place. The staff is rude, and very unhygienic. I went in to get my gel polish taken off and a new color put on, simple enough. Well, my visit started with a soak in acetone from which my skin is still trying to recover. Following this lovely occurrence, she proceeded to take my nail polish off WITH HER FINGERNAILS! To top it off she then grabbed a pair of cuticle clippers out of her drawer and took a dusty, dirty plastic cover off of it. Mind you this piece of equipment was not sterilized, and there was no autoclave in sight. I politely said that's not necessary as she came at my cuticles with this filthy instrument. She carried on as if she didn't understand me so I had to physically pull my hand away and say NO. The polish was not applied correctly and there were lumps and uneven spots I had to fix once I got home. Oh and they will tell you the cost is $15 but in real life it's $20 because "they removed existing polish". I have never been charged for that lovely service in 10 years. So much for trying something new! Please take your business somewhere where it will be appreciated. If you are looking for a relaxing experience this is not the place to get it! read more
