I woke up hours earlier than my usual wake-up time, and I still had a lot of driving ahead of me,…read moreso I was in serious need of caffeine. I'm not a coffee person -- I know, that's shocking for someone from metro Seattle -- so I ordered tea. The barista offered several options; I chose Earl Grey. I was pleased to find that they use Stash; they use better bergamot than some other mid-priced Earl Grey teas. The barista offered ice cubes with the tea, which I really appreciated. I was too tired to think of that myself, but I definitely didn't want to burn my mouth or wait a long time for my tea to cool to a safe temperature. There aren't a lot of things one can do to make tea better (or to mess it up), but sparing the customer a burn is a big win. Another win: the price was only $4.25, including 50 cents for the card because I neglected to bring cash. Plus tip, of course. Given that some bikini barista stands charge as much as $10, that's quite a bargain. There's a small reader-board sign that reads, "bikini baristas - women get $1 off always", so it's an even better bargain for women. As it happened, unusually early for me was shift change time for Do-Si-Do. Both baristas were very attractive, and abundantly tattooed. The one who prepared my tea was tall and nearly overflowing her top; the one finishing her shift was petite. Both were cheerful, and made friendly (but not flirtatious) conversation. Their outfits were skimpy, but wouldn't have pushed the limits of network television. I neglected to take a picture of the place, but it's easy to spot, left of the Shell station (as viewed from the highway). It's styled like a red barn, but sized like a small coffee stand. It has a white sign that reads, "Do-Si-Do Bikini Espresso", with a woman's silhouette sitting in a horseshoe. The clear markings of the type of coffee stand should deter prudes who might be shocked by the sight of a scantily clad barista. There are two service windows. The one on the east is close to a light post, and marked for cars only (and in the morning sunshine it's impossible to see into the window). I'm normally pretty stingy with five-star "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" ratings, but given the offer of ice in the tea, the bargain price, and the bonus of cheerful conversation with both baristas, this place is a "Woohoo". Note that in any review of a place like this, the bikini barista experience is both a matter of which barista is on duty and the taste of the customer. The quality of the tea depends one what brand the company stocks; for other drinks it mostly depends on the skill of the barista on duty, and to some extent the house recipes and supplies. I was there on August 27 (year of the pandemic, when there are a lot fewer businesses open that one can review), and the caffeine helped get through my long drive safely.
