Dr. Liliana Piccinini is a very competent audiologist who makes things understandable for her patients. I'm not new to hearing aids. I've worn them for 28 years. It was impressive to watch how Dr. Piccinini and her assistant kept tweaking my latest hearing aids' settings until they achieved the best possible hearing for my worsening hearing loss. I made an appointment by email with the PA Center for Hearing and Balance in Springfield and asked for the cost of a checkup and adjustment of my aids. I got a reasonable quote and made an appointment. Upon arrival, the receptionist was wonderful and Liliana did a fantastic job checking my hearing and adjusting my aids, including a follow up. I paid the bill and was a happy customer. I would normally have given this business 5 stars however....three months after my appointment, I received a bill for $150 for the checkup procedures. This was a surprise to me as I had not been told prior to or during the appointment about these extra charges. While I'm happy to pay this bill, I would have preferred to know about the charges in advance. read more

Dr. Liliana Piccinini is wonderful. She made me feel comfortable right away. She is caring about her treatment and extremely skilled in taking ear molds and fittings. I purchased two types of ear plugs to help when I am drumming. I have never had a better fit and protection for my ears. I am about to go back for hearing tests as well. read more

I love when young doctors decide to open their own small business instead of going for the money at a large hospitals. Its good for our community. I admit, I was sad and frustrated when I had to face I wasn't hearing well. The doctors at the audiology floor at a large hospital made me feel like i was on conveyer-belt. I felt I was on a timer...it felt so rushed, i was overwhelmed and just left all confused. I went to PA Center for Hearing expecting the same thing, but it's just one audiologist that seems to love her work. The doc was so patient with me since day one...hearing aids are pricey, there is no way around it. But her dedication and honesty about the pricing put me at ease. The pricing is just a little lower than bigger dr offices, on my budget i did my research. What i love is the small office environment and the time she spends with me. I have gone twice and it just feels calm, she spends alot time with me...she never rushes me. If you want a doctor that makes you feel like human being and is actually devoted to her to her patients, go with her. PA Center fr Hearing has been good to me. And i can hear now!
