Today, I had the newest Ophthalmologist for my second time. Dr. Jazmin Logendra saw me today after making the appointment yesterday because I was having issues because of my age. She spent forty five minutes with me, had other technicians run other scans and tests on my eyes. She put all the information together and will now discuss all of it with the Senior Ophthalmologist. She feels quite sure, based on the the information what has to be done to fix my issue. She is very kind, efficient, soft spoken, makes sure that I understand everything that she is saying. She also had me take short breaks because the positions were hard to hold! I would highly recommend Dr. Logendra for all of your eye needs. She is TOPS!

Because I could not explain the problem well, he became very rude and condescending. When I told him that he didn't need to be rude, he told me to leave. It doesn't seem that his attitude is unusual, as this type of interaction seemed routine to his receptionist (who is also his wife). I went to Dr. Sun because he is an ophthalmologist (rather than an optometrist) and I wanted to make sure that my eye pain was properly evaluated. However, it became apparent that Dr. Sun didn't want to actually evaluate my issue, but rather just wants to be a better paid eyeglass mill. Based upon his attitude, I have no doubt that he would have just conducted an eye exam and sold me new glasses which may not have actually solved my eye pain.

I went for a routine eye exam and was honest about leaving my contacts in for long periods of time. At the start of my exam, Dr. Sun told me he could not accept me as a patient because of this and then told me I would need to either "change my attitude or find a new doctor" to which I replied "okay" in shock. He then would not continue the eye exam until I verbally confirmed I would start changing my contacts and did not want to find another doctor. This all happened after waiting in the waiting room for 45 minutes for this appointment. In total I was there for an hour and a half with the actual eye exam taking a rushed five minutes or less. I've never had a worse experience with a doctor in my life! I should say the receptionist was a delight and tried to make me feel better after this awful experience with the doctor.

I've been coming here for a couple years now and my favorite optometrist has been Dr. Chad Edmonds!…read moreI've only had to come for standard eye exams and contact fittings, but I appreciated that when we were talking about my work and lifestyle Dr. Edmonds was even able to make suggestions about what settings to use on the computer to promote more blinking (helps with dry eyes). He went above and beyond by even doing the cost comparison for me when I was considering two contact brands, the manufacturer's rebates, and their in-office promotions. I also love that this practice has the option to text their staff, I do find that to be easier than calling because their phone lines are often quite busy. When it was time to order my contacts I had the option to order through the site Dr. Contact Lens or through them directly to save an additional 15% off. I've been a happy customer here and would recommend it!

They did not return our phone calls, they do not answer their phone, they were unable to answer our questions when we did finally get a person on the phone, did not mail a doctor letter of medical necessity to our insurance company and did not inform us that our insurance was not covering the therapy. We ended up with months of unpaid bills that we didn't know we were responsible for. We are happy with the doctor but the billing and admin parts of the practice are a nightmare to deal with. We will not be going back to the practice and we have informed the neurologist that recommended the practice about our horrible experience.

His assistant and the woman who fit me for glasses were both cheerful and warm, and the office is bright and pleasant. The review from two years ago from the patient who was blind-sided by the charges was not my experience at all; in fact, I received a text the day before my appointment informing me of all of charges, and what my co-pay would be. I always find choosing glasses stressful, but did not feel rushed or pressured in the least by the optical staff. There is not a huge selection, but what they have is quality. When I said it was hard for me to see what I looked like in the different frames without my prescription glasses, Dr. Schechter overheard and said he would give me some contacts so I could see better. This was really helpful. Also, before he turned me over to the optical staff, he handed me a pair of glasses he thought were a good choice for me, and these ended up being the ones my husband liked best on me (he had come along to pick his own glasses). After trying on many different pairs, they ended up being my favorite as well.

AVOID! Lied to me about my insurance, did imaging without telling me what was happening and then…read morecharged me for it. During my exam, I was dilated, and then sent out to look at frames. I was told me single vision lenses began at $88. I said I knew that my single vision lenses began at $0. They told me insurance companies lie to clients, but they had the true information. I told them I was sure of my coverage, and if there was a discrepancy, I would just stick with the exam, and get my lenses/frames somewhere else. When I was sent back to the exam room, the doctor and receptionist were audibly discussing why I had declined purchasing frames. When I checked out, they told me my routine eye exam was $64. I told them I knew my coverage and it was $0. They told me insurance often tells clients and doctors different things. I told them I was positive. They "looked again" and said, "oh you're right". Well, in that case... we took ocular imagining, and that will be $32. When I scheduled the appointment, I said I only wanted a routine eye exam. I said I was not informed that that was happening nor did I approve the charge, so they told me, no problem, no charge. Then, months later, I received a bill for $25. When checkout was complete, I was told I would receive my vision prescription a few days later. I had to fight and fight for it and the doctor refused to provide it, which felt retaliatory. When I threatened further action, I was sent a prescription. I used it to buy new frames/lenses elsewhere, and the prescription is blatantly wrong, which again, feels retaliatory. AVOID this fraud at all costs!!
