Several times over the past years, I have brought two trailers to Jesse, my 27' 5th wheel and my little 12' utility/flat bed trailer. His guys did a great job on my trailer brakes and suspension...and, after someone rear-ended me, Jesse and his guys repaired damage to the tongue of my utility trailer and damage to the rear gate. Today, I brought my 5th wheel trailer in because I'm taking a long 12 hour trip and was concerned about the brakes possibly having issues. Jesse and his guys immediately found a brake wire disconnected on one of the axles and repaired it, free of charge. While there, I mentioned to his crew that my trailer batteries were not charging while my truck was towing. Three of his crew immediately ran a bunch of diagnoses. They confirmed all my truck fuses were good and confirmed that somewhere on the truck-side of the charging, there is no trickle charge going to the trailer. Again, their quick diagnoses was unexpected and just another example of outstanding customer service I've always been given by Jesse and his crew. I have a 27 ft. travel trailer, dual axle and leaf springs. Had a shackle break 2 weeks prior and another one was stretching and ready to break. Called Pac West and they could fit me in in two weeks. Very quick in this area. I purchased the MORryde suspension upgrade and their upgraded shackle kit. Pac West had no issues installing customer supplied parts. Pac West supplied the leaf springs and u bolts and completely redid my suspension. They did a great install, got me in quickly and got the job done quickly. I've gone to this place several times and each time I've been treated with professionalism. Once I was poking around and the owner Elton showed me a bunch of enclosed trailers and help educate me. Another time I had a hitch adjusted and they were total pros to make sure the work was solid. The most recent time I went, I brought a trailer in that I didn't even buy from them because I found a nice used one somewhere else. But it needed to be brought up to spec. The work included conforming a hitch for a Dodge Ram and a Sprinter, requiring cutting and adjusting various elements. The trailer was sitting low so they also had to raise the whole chassis and install a tongue box. All the work they did looked good and made the trailer perform competently and function better than ever before.and I am so glad I had this company to bring me up to specs. They went above and beyond the original task and the total cost was reasonable. The young fella there, Josh, is a gem. I wholeheartedly endorse this company. We need specialty types like this to keep supporting the community and keep our trailers working to maintain productivity. read more

I had just purchased a new boat and had a trailer bearing failure on the freeway. After further inspection I realized it was going to be a BIG JOB rebuilding this thing myself. I needed a Trailer Expert!! I brought the trailer to Pac West Trailers and Brian spent the time to discuss the best options with me. They were able to remove and replace the axles, all new disc brakes and new coupler with new master cylinder. They ran all new brake lines and even spliced a new 7 lead connector on the trailer as well. Needless to say, there were often problems with them, especially because they were older. Pac West was sensitive to our work needs and tried their best to get us in ASAP to make repairs so we did not break our contractual obligations. I was surprised to find good reviews for PacWest because my husband was treated very poorly by the business. Elton was his sales person. We had to wait 2 days for our loan to fund in order to buy a trailer. My husband, Tony, had one picked out that suited our purposes and was within our price range. He asked Elton if he could hold the trailer for us until our loan funded and he told my husband, "Yes". Our bank funded our loan 2 days later. We called Elton and asked him if we could come pick our trailer up and he told us "No" and he had no other trailers to sell us. WHAT? He did not apologize for selling the trailer out from underneath Tony. There was NO customer service, care, concern, nothing. Just short and rude and now we are sitting here with the loan funded and no trailer. Elton offered no explanation, nothing. Rude. Broken promises. We are not impressed at all with Pac West Trailers. Customers should never be treated this way. They act like they are the only trailer company in the world there. I don't care how good their prices are. It's never worth it if they are going to make you feel like you were not even worth an explanation after we went and got a loan to buy from them. I think they are horrible people. The week before my husband had gone out to their yard to look at something on the trailer and a saleslady in the office and in front of there customers that were standing in the office, she spoke to Tony very sarcastically and rude in attempt to make the other customers in the office laugh. Basically made him feel like a fool for asking a question. This type of business we do not need in our life. read more

I had a hell of a time finding a company that would straighten out my boat trailer risers and install new bunks. The (North Bay) companies that used to perform these services no longer do so and other companies in the area seemed uninterested in my business (Frustrating). I finally contacted Jesse at Pac West Trailers and explained my trailer repair needs and he said bring it up anytime and we'll repair the trailer in a couple of days. I live in Rohnert Park and rented a temporary slip in San Rafael at the Loch Lomond Marina, parked the boat the slip and drove my trailer to PWT where Jesse greeted me and reassured me a quick turn around time. The trailer was completed three days later, new bunks, risers straightened, greased (Both) bearings replaced one bad wheel bearing and placed new lug nuts on tire rims. Before I trailered back, Brian did a show and tell of all of the work he completed, gave me a few maintenance tips and made sure all of the trailer lights worked. I was impressed with the information and the trailer safety check Brian gave me. I was very satisfied with the charges and commend Jesse, Brian and the PWT team for all their great service. I brought in my travel trailer to have a receiver tube put on the rear for a cargo carrier. From the time I was on the phone with Jesse to when I actually brought in the trailer, he was patient, friendly, and answered all my questions despite the influx of customers flowing in and out of the place. I didn't feel like anyone was rushing me to make a decision. Even though the work I requested is very small compared to the amazing things they do, Jesse never made me feel like the job wasn't important. The price was very reasonable and they had the work done by the end of the next business day. I also want to thank Jason (I think that's his name) who helped unhitch and hitch the trailer - he drives a forklift like nobody's business! My parents and I were traveling home to Oregon from Arizona on an emergency trip from college during the coronavirus lockdown. In the middle of the night our trailer bearing burned up. After unloading we were able to limp to PAC West Trailers Sacramento. They dropped everything they were doing to help us out. They put a new axel on our trailer and new bearings. Within an hour and a half we were back on the road. They took a stressful situation and helped us feel so much better. They did quality work for a fair price knowing they would never see us again. This is possibly the worst repair shop I have ever been to in my entire life. I had a bent axle on my Racer trailer and a broken panel on the side of it. No problem, right? I asked the friendly technician about NOT installing the same type of flimsy torsion axles and instead upgrading to Standard spring axles. So...I get a quotation for installation and everything from the friendly technician (who actually did the work) only to find out that the WRONG AXLES were welded onto the trailer. That's right, the very same technician who quoted me for installation somehow completely forgot about the entire discussion and "misplaced" my signed work order for the installation of the spring axles. After this ridiculous ordeal, they finally admitted to installing the wrong parts. Then the missing work order miraculously appeared with my signature on it stating which axles I wanted installed. If that weren't enough...suddenly my brakes were no good on the trailer. Strange, I asked the salesperson "how many millimeters of material are left on the shoes" and the answer was "none"...OK, fine, how much to replace some brake shoes? SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!! yes, that is not a misprint. So, the grand total for replacing the axles and brakes came to about 3600...not including the additional cost of replacing a broken aluminum panel. You could just about buy another trailer for the prices they ask at this shop. read more

Pac West is awesome! I had a brake problem with my 14' enclosed trailer that no one in Santa Rosa seemed to be able/willing to deal with when I was there last weekend. I called Pac West (its about 3 miles from my home) while still in Santa Rosa and confirmed they could see it first thing the next buisness day. Jessie and his crew identified that the trailer brakes were perfect and traced the problem to the brake controller in about 10 minutes. I also asked if they could replace the trailer jack. Both services were done quickly while I waited. The folks at Pac West are the best. Friendly, walked me through how to set the new controller, and I was on my way. Its where I will always go for trailer service and can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I purchased a 16' Enclosed Trailer in December 2013 from Pac West. I believe it was a consignment sale. Fairly new trailer, looked to be in good shape. Upon using it the first time, it was clear the trailer brakes were not working correctly, or at all. My 3/4 truck's front brakes were pretty hot after towing a decent sized load. Once I inspected, one of the wires had been rubbing on a drum and had frayed thru (it looked to have been a while ago). This had caused the rear axle brake to handle the load (since the front axle was not functioning at all) and they were scorched. Had to drop $600 in a complete replacement of all four brake assemblies to fix. I contacted Pac West via their contact info to see if they would be willing to reimburse, and have not received a response. I probably should have inspected more thoroughly, but you would also expect a trailer to have been gone thru by a dealer like Pac West before selling (consignment or otherwise). With a disconnected brake wire, this trailer was flat out dangerous to even tow. So, moral of the story, do your diligence. Update. I heard back from Elton, and he explained their position on consignment trailers and offered some remedy. I would still advise anyone who buys a consignment trailer to thoroughly check it out, which i should have. Changing to 3 stars. read more

I purchased an off road trailer about a year ago and have used it to transport motocross bikes, camp gear etc. I have not been disappointed. I was very happy with the purchasing process. I don't live near Roseville and I wasn't going to take a day off of work to go there and order it. I spoke to Elton by phone, he didn't have a 4 x 6 trailer ready to go in black and said he could fabricate one. He told me it would take six weeks and required a deposit. I was concerned that I would put money down on a trailer that would never get built or it would be delayed by several weeks. I told Elton my concern and he assured me he could do it three weeks. I took a chance and it was ready as promised. He was very easy to deal with and understood by phone where the D rings needed to be placed, set up the tool box on the tongue so the top could open all the way and a few other details that if weren't done correctly would be upsetting. When I picked it up I needed one additional modification that I never told him about and he had it done while I waited for only $25. The service couldn't have been better. I'm very happy with Pac West Trailer. I also like supporting small local businesses. He gave me what I asked for in a timely manner so I highly recommend them. I own my own business as an Auto Transporter, and when I came over the Tejon Pass I felt like my trailer brakes or bearings were acting up. I am based out of Phoenix, and trying to find an honest shop to work on your trailer when you are from out of state is hard to come by! These guys were amazing! I only had 4 days of downtime (mainly because the shop was so busy i had to wait to get in , but they squeezed me in so I could get back on the road). They were professional, fast, and honest, as well as helpful. They didn't give me the runaround and said I only needed a simple adjustment to my brake pads. 20 minutes later, they were done, and gave me a very excellent and fair price. Not only did the guys there fix the problem, they also amused me and took about 20 extra minutes out of their day to answer all my other questions and concerns I had. This place knows customer service, and I would recommend them to any one with a trailer. read more

I brought my trailer in to check out a wheel that was not spinning correctly. They said it would take a few days to check it out. The worst thing that can happen is to have to replace the entire axle but I was far from that per the tech. After about a week and several calls they finally took a look at it and said all I needed was to tighten my wheel bearing nut. Approximately 500 miles later and $850 I'm changing out my entire axle because they didn't take the time to inspect my bearings properly. What they did was take $100 from me, put stickers and a license plate frame on my trailer. Based on other reviews I would say they have an issue with being consistent in the quality of their work. I rented a dump trailer from this business as I had over 10,000 lbs. of tree to dispose of. It was late on a Friday afternoon when I picked up the trailer and no one went over the operation of the trailer with me. If they had they would have discovered the battery in the trailer was dead. Unfortunately I did not discover this until I was dumping my first load the next morning. Upon returning the trailer on Monday, which they were 27 minutes late in opening the gates, I told the staff the battery was dead. The response I received was "f**k, sorry" and that's it. I waited a day or so to give them time to contact me but that did not happen. So I called them to complain as the only reason I used them in the first place was they had a "dump" trailer that would fit my need. I could have rented many larger trailers for half the price if I wanted to unload the 10,000 plus lbs. of wood myself. They finally offered a $25.00 credit for the inconvenience. I received an email showing the credit but 13 days latter I have yet to receive the actual credit from this business. I would avoid them at all cost. Trailers are not rocket science but it seems this business just can't get anything right. read more
