Copeland installed a Trane A/C for nearly $10K at our property. It had a catastrophic failure just a month or 2 after purchase. Copeland blamed my tenant, claiming they must have stabbed the unit but refused to provide adequate documentation for it. Airbnb then called them and somebody claimed they only replaced 3 parts and not the entire unit, which was news to me, and then when Airbnb accused me of fraud Copeland complained nonstop when I asked them for documentation clarifying that they replaced the entire unit. So yes, they are so inept they nearly cost me my entire livelihood, because they either were lying to me or relayed the wrong info to them. They then changed their name, branding, and phone number and didn't bother telling us so that we could use the 10 year warranty we had purchased. I eventually took a chance and called Copeland Home Services after their Copeland A/C contacct info went unresponded to and discovered that was the same company. My A/C was leaking, and they said they would come out. I explained that I had a renter and that I couldn't be sure they would be home, but that I could give an access code so they could get inside if the renter wasn't there. They told me that was fine. The guy called me and I gave him a code. He then abandoned the repair. I only found out because I happened to call them for an issue at a separate property that night. They didn't even care to call to tell me they had no showed. I spoke with my renter who told me that I had said they couldn't go when my renter wasn't there, which was never the case. The renter was down the street, had spoken to them on the phone, and said they were just a few minutes away and could be there if needed, but the guy wanted to go home so he lied to us both and left. The next day they say the leak is fixed. It very clearly isn't. We have the same leak. They then come back out and claim they need a part and will fix it but that it will take time to arrive. So it takes 3-4 days to repair the leak, while our sheetrock and other items get damaged. Oh, and we got a quote at another property which was DOUBLE what the other 2 contractors we got quotes from charged Justus then transfers our warranty, probably out of embarassment for their absurdly awful, unprofessional behavior between no shows, claiming an easily verifiable repair like a leak is fixed when it isn't, and more. If you want to deal with spontaneously combusting A/Cs, repair people who can't be bothered to show up, who say leaks are fixed that are still pouring water onto your furniture at the time they leave the house, and a manager who is not even located nearby and can't even get his repair techs to act responsibly, then this is the company for you. Otherwise hire ANYBODY else.
