He might be a very good doctor who has received many good reviews but this is not one of them. I give him one star because at least he has his office return calls. Although Dr. Khalid is an extremely nice doctor with a genteel manor, he does not care if you are hurting. I've been seeing him over 6 months now and all they want to do, is give injection after injection. If you tell him or his NP the medication he insisted on perscribing (lowest dosage of Suboxone) is not touching the severe/chronic pain in your SI/Hip, he/they don't care. Not only is he hard to understand and talk with, but his NP is just as difficult! They freaked out when I asked for a refill on a low dose muscle relaxer I've taken as needed for years and an anti-inflammatory. I'm not an addict and am sick of being treated like I'm one! If you're looking for anything other than a monthly injection, look elsewhere. You could be screaming in pain and all they would say is "sorry - you wanna schedule for next week?"

Dr Gariano. the details are many, so I won't get into the mud with this post. however, PLEASE do not, under any circumstance, agree to be seen by this clinician. There are a good handful of Retina specialists in the San Diego area. Gariano is not one of them and had I done my due diligence, I would still be driving today. And no, I'm not super old. Lastly. this portion relates more to Scripps itself. 99,9% of their clinicians are fantastic. I felt well cared for. Unfortunately, Scripps was made aware of the situation and chose to do absolutely nothing other than protect their Doctor. Not surprising. what was surprising however, was any contact with Gariano or his staff stopped completely, once I alerted Scripps administration of the devastating situation. No more follow-ups. Silence. Left hanging with a damage retina and the need for a corneal transplant. Not so much as a simple I'm sorry from Gariano, but of course, any apology would be considered an admission of potential malpractice I guess. Dr. Arun made the time today to see me on very short notice as a follow-up recommendation from Urgent Care to see Ophthalmology. Although Dr. Arun wasn't the on-call physician today, she saw me early. I am so grateful to her. Additionally, she alleviated my pain and suffering that I had after my Urgent Care visit. Dr. Arun patiently explained to me how the process works for my path going forward. She is such an exceptional doctor. I am very glad she accepted me today. Dr. Arun prescribed the correct Rx. And last minute cancellations and no one is covering them. The ADA parking is out of code with the federal and state mandates. So if that is something you need, plan for extra time to find a reasonable parking spot, bring a driver or use a ride share. Parking is atrocious for anyone needing ADA parking. This used to be the premiere health care, or at least second. And they are consistently slipping from that. The level of customer service at the front desk, the amount of time the doctors actually spend with you, makes me wonder if they have switched to a for profit healthcare system. Not horrible. Better than healthcare say in Alabama. But. There is a lot of room for improvement.
