He had a candid conversation with us and said I will try one more solution, but I don't think it's going to work. The next thing we knew, he actually got the pilot light to light. Without his patience and sheer diligence, we would have paid for an almost $800 part that was worthless. he was so apologetic when he had to deliver the initial bad news, and we were all so happy when he actually made the fireplace work. The service was done and the technician made several suggestions about needed repairs that were flat out false. When I went to pay him the I was charged 449.00 for the service 60.00 for a collar he said I needed, plus tax for a total of 513.35. I was told the chimney cap needed to be replaced and would cost 1500.00 dollars and recieved an estimate for replacing the bricks in the fireplace of 901.19. I only needed two bricks replaced but he recommended I replace them all. Additionally the cleaning of the stove was sloppy and the grates on the exterior were covered in ash. I believe this is a case of someone trying to take advantage of a senior. Im sure he thought I would never get on the roof to check out his recommendations. I would never hire this company or recommend them to anyone!

The property was empty so I asked them to let me know when it was complete and to send photos of the work. They failed to do either. I paid all but 1.5%, because I wanted proof of completion. After 6 months (!) someone texted a grainy photo of somebody's attic from which I am supposed to accept that it is mine and then insisted on full final payment. They failed to provide notice that they were coming to take a picture which is highly unprofessional for a rental property in particular. I do NOT recommend using this company.
