Service provided was OK. Dr. Johnsen was polite (whoever was shadowing him was not). He listened to the issues I was having, which was good. He seemed to understand the problem I was experiencing, which was also good. When it came to the solution to the issue, I'm not sure yet. He recommended that I stretch the area, but when I asked for recommended stretches that I could do, he gave me two. The office is in a not-so-great part of San Bern and the inside of the office, while clean, really could use some updating. I didn't see much in the room, as it was pretty low frills/low tech. At this point, I'm not sure I would recommend, but as feedback to the business, if you're going to have someone who is accompanying the doctor during the appointments, at least introduce the person and state what they're doing. I had no idea and they said nothing, which was a bit disconcerting and odd at best. Also, remember to bring your shoes that you wear on a regular basis to your appointment! I forgot my running shoes and they would have provided the doctor good information. read more

First of all, it takes forever to get an appointment. Secondly, there are no assistants on the house calls, so the doctor leaves a mess behind and does not clean up. There are no follow up calls to discuss appointment. Honestly, it is more like a trip to the nail salon, a quick 10 minute get in and get out appointment. Very disappointing. read more

Wow, such a great experience!! A+++ I came to see Dr. Johnsen because I suspected I might have plantar fasciitis in my left heel. I am an active 62 year old woman and after 6 weeks of pain, I wanted to find out what I could do to help heal it. Dr. Johnson listened attentively and then told me everything I could do to help my foot heal, including appropriate exercises and stretches to do. He also gave me a cortisone shot and a Posterior Night Splint. I was very impressed with how much time he spent with me and his in depth explanations. The cost of the office visit, the splint and the shot were extremely affordable. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly!!!! The staff were all very nice and I appreciated that they were able to schedule an appointment for me in a matter of days. read more
