There is parking in the front of store, but it usually gets taken rather quickly especially between 2 PM to 4 PM on weekdays. You can also park in the back, near the area where donations are dropped off. I usually come on Tuesdays, where discounts usually don't apply to me. I like Wednesday's where there are student/teacher discounts. To my luck, I went on a spin the wheel day today! You get to spin the wheel after your purchase for an opportunity to win items or get a discount. I like browsing their toys, vintage items, and office supplies. I usually get very good second hand items such as staplers, hole punchers, DVDs, shoes, and board games. This location is actually my favorite place to shop for vintage film cameras (I'm afraid to post this because my fellow Yelp friends will be coming more to grab them before I do!). Today, I bought a good pocket minolta film camera, some stuffed animals, and some office supplies. The cashiers are sweethearts and are willing to help you look at items! They also have an extensive amount of used clothes and furniture. It's definitely my favorite thrift store and will continue to be so.

The staff is kind, helpful, and professional, and the donation process is very convenient. They are open Tuesday through Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday. If you're dropping off donations, you can simply drive up to the donation area, and they will take the items from your car and provide you with a receipt. That makes the process so easy. Today I met Maria, the store manager, and she provided excellent customer service. She also shared helpful information about where some of the donated clothing and items go, including libraries and different organizations they partner with. It was a great learning experience and made me feel even better about donating here. I would definitely encourage others to bring donations here or stop by and shop to see what they have. It's a friendly, community-focused thrift store with great customer service.

Mindy provided a very personable, warm and extremely responsive service, made every effort to respond to my inquiry on Adopt-A-Pet and approving my application as well as just answering my questions and chatting with me about my potential cat baby's personality traits and his background story. She responded to emails as late as 11PM on a weekend and her demeanor was always welcoming and reassuring, like an old, caring friend. Mindy's words and actions convey that she truly truly love all of her rescued cat babies and she only wants what's best for them and she works extremely hard to find them good homes. I was very sad that neither cat babies from her rescue matched the particular personality I was looking for (I was trying to fill this big hole in my heart with the tragic loss of a stray cat named Cookie I cared for) and I really wished that given all the hard work she and her daughter put into, I'd adopt either Teddy or Khabib. Despite these big, affectionate sweet boys were not the best match I was searching for, I don't think any less of them, I sincerely hope they will find their forever home they deserve and I cannot be more grateful for Mindy's time, patience and understanding she's extended me and my family. If I had more capacity for an additional cat baby in the future after finding THE ONE, Mindy and her rescue is the first place I'd check out. If you are also searching for your feline soulmate, please look no further!!

I went to Petsmart to adopt a kitten names Cookies. I filled out the application, and was told by Petsmart to call them and see if I could get an immediate answer. I called them 17 times, no answer.....I was livid... I was even more upset when I get the notification via text message, that they would not allow me to adopt Cookies because I said we would "Declaw" if he started scratching or getting aggressive....I didn't even know what that meant...Again, I was pissed... We were messaging back and forth for well over 30 minutes and they explained to me what declawing was, and why it was bad for cats. Thank you, I was given useful information of something I knew nothing about. Granted, Cookies, was going to live his best life with us, but it wasn't meant to be. On to the next.

The lovely ladies who run this place tucked behind a church off Foothill Boulevard, have nurtured a wonderful California native plants garden that blooms with pops of color sequentially throughout the year. Their organization supports many local needy families with education, clothes, and financial assistance. The architecture itself is a contrast to euro-anglo-Claremont, and showcases indigenous mud-based architecture. The bilingualism of this organization demonstrates the riches of California and especially its hardworking and community-spirited Latino peoples. I loved the fact in First of all the place is huge. There is a Methodist church in the front then you take a long winding road with some turns the property was beautiful and I had one of my dogs with me who was recently attacked by a much bigger dog and was clearly traumatized by the incident. Amongst the many breakfasts I intruded on, this special breakfast meeting at OPARC really opened my eyes about the world around us. OPARC (Ontario Pomona Association for Retarded Citizens) is a nonprofit organization centralized in the IE (Inland Empire) created to help those with disabilities and their families. We were given a tour of the facilities and we were able to see how OPARC was able to put these people into different programs (depending on their situation). They have a "variety of programs for people with Down Syndrome, epilepsy, autism, cerebral palsy, and mental retardation" (oparc.org). One thing that I still remember to this day is when we entered a room where all they did was putting an item into the plastic packaging and sealing it up. The faculty member at OPARC explained that these simple activities are so simple and easy that an average person would probably be unwilling to do it, especially for less than minimum wage. OPARC takes those simple tasks and with government aid, they are able to pay these disabled workers a lesser pay doing these simply BUT USEFUL and necessary work to contribute to society and to give these people meaning to their lives. That is just one of many examples of the things that OPARC does to help those with disabilities. Their mission statement is: "Enabling People with Disabilities to Achieve Their Full Potential" and this is such a valiant cause!! People with disabilities deserve every right to be emotionally fulfilled with their lives and OPARC is doing a wonderful job helping them with that despite the setbacks they are forced to face. If you're ever looking for somewhere to donate to, this is a great cause! Or maybe just do some research about it and be less ignorant about the world around us :)
