I'll be honest--walking into a new dental office made me a little nervous, but Darci (the assistant) was so warm and welcoming. She gave me a quick little tour and totally helped ease my nerves. It honestly felt like visiting a friend's office! Dr. Goldman was amazing--super knowledgeable and took the time to go over everything with me. She even complimented the onlays and veneers I had done previously, which made me feel like she really noticed the details. AJ, my hygienist, was also fantastic. He was so professional and made me feel completely at ease while taking my oral records. He asked thoughtful questions about my dental habits and even gave me a few helpful flossing tips I hadn't heard before. Plus, the office is beautiful and fully equipped with modern technology and little touches that remind me of my old dentist's place (which I loved). I've had to go back in twice since having the work done to be checked out. The first time they corrected my bite and the dentist re- drilled to correct it. The whole time he was drilling the shavings were going to the back of my throat, and I was choking he said oh it's just teeth dust lol Also, most of the reception women are very friendly, but every time I speak to Natalie she is so rude and seems like she hates her job. Once I get this problem corrected, I will not be returning to Salinas valley Dental care, sadly. I feel like the staff is overwhelmed because they're taking them more patients than they can handle. I couldn't get an appt for a root canal until almost mid January, I saw him on 12/07ish, although they took my $200 dollar consultation fee Pain was not discussed at all and that's when I knew I was def not going to be taken care of completely. Pain is a number one assessment question. He wore his mask the whole time, which was warranted, but it made it more difficult to interact with his language barrier. I ended up driving to Morgan Hill for same day root canal, thank God. I ended up paying another $150 consult fee Take care of your teeth is the message here and if the provider Diana less than 1. 5 minutes with you, get out. It is saddening that a place like this that primarily serves people from the Hispanic community who sometimes don't speak english, are low income, lack the tools and knowledge and access to better take care of their teeth, finally build the courage to go to the dentist only to get scammed by Dr. Mireles.
