I'll be honest--walking into a new dental office made me a little nervous, but Darci (the assistant) was so warm and welcoming. She gave me a quick little tour and totally helped ease my nerves. It honestly felt like visiting a friend's office! Dr. Goldman was amazing--super knowledgeable and took the time to go over everything with me. She even complimented the onlays and veneers I had done previously, which made me feel like she really noticed the details. AJ, my hygienist, was also fantastic. He was so professional and made me feel completely at ease while taking my oral records. He asked thoughtful questions about my dental habits and even gave me a few helpful flossing tips I hadn't heard before. Plus, the office is beautiful and fully equipped with modern technology and little touches that remind me of my old dentist's place (which I loved). I've had to go back in twice since having the work done to be checked out. The first time they corrected my bite and the dentist re- drilled to correct it. The whole time he was drilling the shavings were going to the back of my throat, and I was choking he said oh it's just teeth dust lol Also, most of the reception women are very friendly, but every time I speak to Natalie she is so rude and seems like she hates her job. Once I get this problem corrected, I will not be returning to Salinas valley Dental care, sadly. I feel like the staff is overwhelmed because they're taking them more patients than they can handle. Also, the office seems to be following apart their exam rooms have paint peeling off the walls and stained ceiling tiles.

Like most people, I don't look forward to dental visits, but Dr. Kwok genuinely makes the experience as best as it possibly can be. My experience with both the Doctor and his staff was exceptional - not just in their professionalism, but the respectful and compassionate care I received, during a time of covid stress and personal challenges. Dr. Tayebaty did a thorough examination and was absolutely clear and frank about the possible outcome - only a fifty percent chance of the root canal being successful. I subsequently asked the director of Dientes in Santa Cruz (who had referred me to him and was familiar with his results) what she would do in my situation, and she replied emphatically, and without hesitation, that she would have him try to save my tooth. Dr. Tayebaty was exceptionally present and exacting in his work, and reassured me by answering my various questions before we started. Despite my profound stress, I found the procedure surprisingly smooth and unhurried (the way a root canal could be in the hands of a master practitioner like Dr. Tayebaty). It is now seven months later, and so far so good. I couldn't get an appt for a root canal until almost mid January, I saw him on 12/07ish, although they took my $200 dollar consultation fee Pain was not discussed at all and that's when I knew I was def not going to be taken care of completely. Pain is a number one assessment question. He wore his mask the whole time, which was warranted, but it made it more difficult to interact with his language barrier. I ended up driving to Morgan Hill for same day root canal, thank God. "opportunity" to have different Root Canal's performed so I've been able to tell the difference between practicioners. Here's what makes this office great: - Dr. Cross takes his time to get everything right. This can occasionally result in a slight delay or minor overlap of appointments, but I strongly prefer this approach over a Doc that rushes through and misses something. - Dr. Cross (and the office in general) place a lot of care into cleanliness and disinfecting. If you want to geek out, check out Dr. Ross' youtube video link on his site where he talks about disinfection technology and advancement in that area. - The front-desk staff are very organized. For simple stuff like scheduling an appointment, they allow texting (nice!) - Costs are well explained and they support a wide range of insurance providers. - Dr. Cross' temporary fillings are legit. I had a vacation conflict and head cold which resulted in me postponing my follow-up office appointment by a couple extra weeks. Obviously it wasn't planned but I'm pleased to report that the temporary filling the Dr put in worked fine. Ultimately, I think this was a good experience. I recommend Dr. Cross to other's needing treatment.
