Then our friend told us about Ward's and we got MUCH better carpet and a way better pad for less than the Home Depot quote. Our carpet was installed within two weeks (quicker than Home Depot!) and two years later we still love it! After we got our carpet installed my dad remembered that they got their carpet here too, and 20 years later it still is holding up great. Called Allmans, they spoke with them which calmed them for a minute or two. Years later we are still dealing with the poor installation (the carpet is great, but it buckles due to their horrible work). The wood floors upstairs were split between one good installer and one of the Allman sons. He clearly wanted to be somewhere else. Once he was done with the job, he swept all the dust and leftover pieces into the middle of the room and left. We thought he was coming back. Two days and a few phone calls later we cleaned it up ourselves. Maybe they've improved by now. I'm not going to take that bet to find out.

We have used Allman's many time over and see no reason at all to look elsewhere.
