I called the store to try to confirm they had a product I needed for a project. Of course I couldn't reach a home but they did confirm they had it. A new update. My delivery of flooring was supposed to come, but nothing. I called the store five times today and no help at all. I don't know how hard it is to buy something, pick the parts, and then deliver the parts. It is almost as if this store does not want to do the work or the people they get in Park City are temps. It would be a better experience if they just said to go to a real flooring store. They should stick to selling holiday merchandise and window cleaner. read more

Was left as a draft for 4 years! Do not purchase carpet from Home Depot! I have spent tens of thousands of dollars a year at Home Depot for remodeling. So it was a no-brainer for me to purchase carpet with "free labor and furniture moving" from them this past July, 2018. The experience was horrible. The first carpet layers, subcontracted through Western States Flooring, found a flaw running through the carpet, AFTER they had ripped up all the carpet in the house that was to be replaced, except for the master bedroom. Keep in mind we also had to take the day off the day before it was to be installed, because Home Depot had so many pieces of furniture they would not move with their "free furniture moving" deal. So mid-day on carpet laying day, we found ourselves with carpet not cut to specification, to cover the tack strips, because Home Depot said the manufacturer would not warranty the carpet due to the dark stripe running through the medium brown carpet. Home Depot was also going to have us live with the old beige carpet in the master bedroom for 4 weeks, while the haphazardly placed medium brown carpet was everywhere else. We insisted they at least slap down the new carpet in the master bedroom as well. The flooring contractor also came the morning of install telling us they were not to move any furniture, and showed us their contract, stating "NO FURNITURE MOVING". This was contrary to our contract with Home Depot which said "free furniture moving", except A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, etc. Home Depot would not discuss with us the loss of a day of work that we incurred, as we would have to do the same thing again in 4 weeks. So we reschedule when they tell us the new roll, new batch, new everything, of carpet is in stock and ready to be laid. We move everything again the day before. This time, Western States Flooring sends their B or C team, definitely not their A Team. This set of carpet layers spend 12 hours ripping up the old carpet, putting down the new carpet, and taking over the Master Suite, using the toilet for their many multiple urine and bowel movement needs. Guess what? When the new old defective carpet was removed, the new roll of carpet was laid out on the driveway, and IT TOO HAD THE SAME DEFECT running through the carpet. Home Depot was immediately called, and they ran to our home, along with the Western States Flooring manager, and they all peer and stare at the carpet roll with the same defect. They try to tell us we need to get it professionally cleaned to see if the dark streak, that also has an obvious yarn deficit in it, would disappear. Marissa, from Home Depot carpeting department tells us they will discuss this with their manager and see what they can do for us. They next day I get a call from Marissa telling us they haven't forgotten us. Then, two weeks later, Nicole, not Marissa, from Home Depot calls us telling us we can get $1,000 back. Now mind you, this still hasn't resolved the big issue of whether or not they will warranty the defective carpet, which has a greater chance of breakdown because of the defect. They also don't discuss the fact that we, my husband and I, took an extra day off than what we should have taken to get their twice defective carpet installed in our home. So we call and call without getting a response. Then we stop in and talk to Anthony the store carpet manager. He makes us promises of getting something resolved, and then he avoids our follow up calls. Finally, about 6 weeks after the initial carpet install, we spend 3 hours composing a three page letter, including addendums of our phone records, the Home Depot Carpet Contract, and multiple photos of the defects, to send to our credit card company to dispute the charge. Our credit union, Mountain America, immediately refunded the thousands of dollars back to our visa's, and guess what? We also received two calls from Home Depot and Western States Flooring, which we did not respond to because it was now disputed. Horrible time consuming experience, leaving us with visibly flawed carpet. read more

This is by far the worst Home Depot I've ever been to, possibly the worst overall shopping experience of any store period. The ass clowns running this place thought it was a fine idea to put 350 tool boxes in the middle of the lumber isles so nobody that needs lumber can get anything, there's no lumber carts because the employees just lay all the new stock of random bullshit on the carts and leave them there, and they put a whole ass power tool shelf IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAIN FRONT ISLE so nobody can get through with any carts. There's garbage and random boxes of hardware strewn all about every single isle and the employees have no idea where anything is, they even told me I should complain to corporate because management isn't doing anything. I'm a contractor and have been to countless Home Depot's, I genuinely don't think this one is being run by anyone. Oh man, it takes a lot for me not to appreciate a Home Depot but the staff here is sub-par. Twice I asked an employee where something was only to have them have to ask another employee, which took a lot more time/hassle then if they just said 'I don't know' and let me shop in the general direction I assume things to be. An item I purchased didn't work as expected and when I went to return it, the woman asked for my receipt. When I didn't have it, she paused and said, "actually it looks used and I can't return it." What...? I've never experienced this before, she got really flighty and just kept saying, "yea, you opened and used it, Home Depot policy" (item was a bin) Um, isn't the point of a return when an item doesn't work as expected? I honestly think she didn't know how to use the computer to look up my purchase since her tone changed with the lack of receipt, it was purchased less than a month ago. I love Home Depot stores. However this is about a Home Depot delivery of a refrigerator to a Park City Utah residential address. I am not sure where the delivery came from, I assume a Home Depot warehouse in the SLC area. In February 2020, the third party delivery service that Home Depot uses would not deliver the fridge because they felt the driveway was too slippery. This was not the case per neighbors and the tenant. When they tried on a different day, they delivered it but would not install it, claiming the space was too small. The tenant and her five year old son installed it while the delivery people were on phone with me telling me they could not do so. The Delivery branch of Home Depot that manages the Park City and SLC area needs to get a better delivery service than what they currently have. read more

There are only 4 self checkouts and 1 real person checkout (in lumber) for the whole store. It took 24 minutes to check out. BS I just got home and needed to make sure my husband, who was with me at Home Depot, had gotten the correct part for a repair. I discovered I was charged for two extension cords when I only picked one, so I had to call the store. Thankfully, they refunded me, but it seems like management is absent and/or needs to be replaced. read more

Although the staff is courteous, I had to call over 10 times for a warranty issue-and it's still not taken care of. Mind you, this was while I was purchasing new stuff for a remodeling job at the same place. We'll be cancelling any orders we can and look for a vendor who cares about repeat customers. This is the first review I've ever done of a home depot/garden center but I had a most unusual problem solved by a home depot employee (judith) upon checking out in the garden center (I was purchasing 2 cans of wasp spray). She asked me if I knew if they were honey bees, and as I thought about it, they very could have been! She said before I spray them, send her a picture. If they were honey bees, she would come get them and use them in her new hive! (they were honey bees!) She stopped by after work, I provided a ladder, and after a few bee stings, she captured the queen and most of the worker bees, and relocated them to her bee hive! I really hate to be leaving this review because in the past I have always had a wonderful experience at this location and everyone has always been super helpful. However I went in yesterday, and walked in behind an older woman who walked right into the store with no mask. I saw her walk right by multiple employees. We were both in the garden section where she interacted with employees. During this, not a single employee asked her to put on a mask or even mentioned that she wasn't wearing one. On my way out, I also saw another gentleman by the checkout without a mask on. There is a mask mandate, so even if there was a medical issue, they should not have been able to enter the store without a mask. I'm a creative girly-girl in my early twenties, so I'm not a typical consumer in Home Depot's target market. Nonetheless, I love imagining and building household projects. Even though my knowledge of drilling and building is limited to what I've learned from YouTube DIY videos, I'm always treated with the utmost respect by store associates. I purchased carpet for my rental home. Almost immediately after it was installed it started to run, like a nylon would run. I called the Park City, Utah Home Depot and spoke to Karen in carpet. She was who I originally purchased the carpet from. When I spoke to Karen, she said that the carpet was still under warranty and should not have happened. She passed me over to an expeditor named Rob. I think I spoke to Rob once and he never called me back. In December, I picked up the phone again and was connected to James. James was an Asst. Manager at the store. I sent him all the receipts and info. He sent an inspector out to the house. The inspectors findings were the the carpet pulls were caused by a dog and would not be covered under the warranty. This is wrong on so many levels. The tenant did not have a dog for the first year and a half that she lived there. The issue started as soon as she moved it. It started in a closet. I have never known a dog to pull or chew carpet. After speaking to James, he agreed with me. He was going to send the inspector out again. I didn't hear from James, after emailing and leaving several voicemails. I called the store again and found that James had left the store permanently and no one knew anything about my case (despite the fact that GM Melanie was included on every email between James and I.) So, I was referred to another expeditor named Kenny. I've sent Kenny all of my information, pictures, communications with James and Karen. Whenever I speak to him, he says he's sent all the information to the higher ups and he says he'll get back to me in 24 hours and never does. I haven't had him actually return a call once. So, I basically at a loss of what to do. I think it's unfair that I spent $2500 on carpet that pulled as soon as it was installed. I think it's poor customer service that I've spoken to 4 people at the Park City Utah Home Depot and no one can seem to call me back, give me an update or resolve the situation. read more

In a swanky mountain resort town like Park City, it's awesome that there's a Home Depot here instead of some overpriced no-name hardware store. This location is neat, organized and very clean with helpful employees. A great place to pick up paint and other basic household and hardware needs. I don't shop here often but when I need something for a fixer-upper project at my condo, this fits the bill. Terrible customer service- I purchased outdoor chairs from this location (in person, in full) and hired someone from the store to deliver/assemble the furniture. The next day I confirmed with the store that they were going to be delivered. Instead of placing the chairs in the back after building them, they were left out in the store. As per the manager they were accidentally sold. Not only do they not have any more of the chairs at any other Home Depot's but the manager had the audacity to offer me store credit. I guess I'll be the first to rate them here. Since we've bought a home down the street, this is our go-to, if anything main store to shop at at least 5 times a week. We've gone there for paint, couches, material, garden equipm and realized you can go broke after a month of "home improvement". Their employees are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and I've gotten to know a few of them by name (especially the paint employees and cashiers). They'll tell you deals that are coming up and love seeing our dog everytime I bring her around. I would recommend them (even though I'm more for mom and pop shops than corporate giants). This is the WORST Home Depot i have ever been in. First off, there are 5 people who work in customer service, including the manager, Derrick, who was standing back there and NONE of them would answer the telephone. They just let it ring and ring and ring for over an hour and a half without ever answering it. It NEVER stopped ringing. There were long lapses with no customers where the staff were just talking to each other and playing with dogs and the phone continued to ring off the hook. When i tried to rent the truck, they said someone had it out till 3:30pm and to call back then to see if it had come back. I called for an hour and a half. It just rang and rang and rang until it disconnected us. Why do you tell customers to call you when you know you never answer the phone??? Is it just to get rid of your customers? Well, you're going to get rid of them permanently. I will NEVER EVER purchase anything from any Home Depot again in this lifetime and I will be sure to let all my friends and family of the very shabby way I was treated. So the truck was supposed to be back at 3:30pm according to the contract. After waiting an hour and a half for the return, which was over due, I asked Derrick, the manager, if he would call the customer and ask if he had a new estimated return time. Obviously, I know you cant demand a customer return the truck but you can at least ask the customer when he thinks he might return it and let him know that there are other people waiting for it. Could he at least do that? No. He told a staff member to call the customer. The staff member did but didnt ask for an estimated time. The person with the truck just said, "Ill see what I can do". Thats not helpful. The person with the truck also lied and said he didnt puck the truck up till 2pm. We were here at 1pm and he already had the truck out. Another staff verified that yes, he had it out before 1pm. I tracked down the manager and asked if he could assist in reminding the customer that the truck was contracted until 3:30pm. He said no, as he continued to walk past me with the issue unresolved. I work retail. We have to answer the phone before the 3rd ring, even when we are checking out customers. Letting your customer service phones ring off the hook, especially when you are not busy is totally unacceptable, especially when you have 4 to 5 staff, including the manager, behind the counter the majority of the time. Its been an hour since the person with the truck was called and he still has not bothered to return the truck. No one here seems the least bit concerned that Ive been trying to get my carpet home since Wednesday and it is now Friday at 6pm. Another thing. The store is supposed to have 3 trucks. They have lost the keys for 1 truck. The 2nd truck isnt working but is sitting in theit, not getting repaired. So all of Park City and the surrounding area is left to use 1 truck, that the staff refuses to schedule. Is it really that hard to schedule a truck for a 2 or 3 hour block of time or longer if you think you need it? Its not hard. Not hard at all but Home Depot doesn't care about serving its customers. I went to Home Depot looking for a piece of wood for a fold down craft table project. I walked to the lumber area and immediately was asked if I needed help. Tim from lumber was very attentive and got me exactly what I needed. He cut the wood perfectly to my project specs. He even gave me a discount on the piece of wood since there were blemishes on it that I was not tall enough to see. lol Had a great experience there today. read more
