I chose them specifically because they had some good reviews on here, and he seemed nice enough when I spoke to him on the phone to book a date with him. I felt like it was a done deal when he told me I was in his book for the date and time agreed upon. The day before the move I received no confirmation call, but we were so busy with the loading of the truck and the many hour drive here. We arrived well after 2AM in the morning, and Solid Movers was supposed to show up that morning to unload our truck. I texted him at 7AM after almost no sleep on my part to confirm what time he was coming. When I received no call or text from him I got nervous that he might pull a no show. And what do you know? He pulled a no show. Wow. Really super unprofessional. I texted and called him a couple more times, to zero response. Bad, bad, bad. This is not the way to run a business.

I called and his phone was turned off, voicemail was full and no call at all. A teenage boy does this kind of cowardly act on his first job, again, forgivable because they're young. This is a grown man, running a business. Needless to say, I called and got Rogue Valley Movers to help me out. They showed up and saved the day. I was on a schedule and Marcell left me out to dry. Not even a call: WOW! If I could save someone the stress that this causes, I did my good deed. Moving is already stressful, why take a chance?

I looked on Craigslist for a few minutes, called James, he answered right away and told me he would be able to help me that day, which was a huge relief. He was able to give me an eta once he had his friend Landon on board to assist, and was very communicative with texts and calls. He showed up on time (I believe within two hours of my initial call) and got right to work. They were super professional, affordable, and all around good guys. Always a disappointment when a business opts to go on the offense instead of taking constructive feedback. Criticism is always hard to hear, but being able to accept it respectfully & graciously is something I know I look for in reviews when I'm hiring for services. For anyone else weighing their moving options, we'd boil it down to this: we've had awesome experiences with moving companies in the Rogue Valley thus far (Skinny Wimp Moving, Hall of Fame Moving, Back Savers Moving) but we strongly recommend avoiding Team Moving if you're disabled, if you're trying to conserve time/money while packing by using totes, organizing cubes, suitcases, & bags you have on-hand, if you're a woman, if you have any antique or heirloom wooden furniture (there was some unfortunate damage to ours), or if you're LGBTQ+. None of these things has been an issue with other moving companies, but there's a first time for everything. Team Moving's price point is comparable to others we've used, so the $445 we paid was to be expected; we just wish they'd gotten the job done like the others were able to! Required some equipment and two strong guys. Also wanted new large TV sets unpacked and moved in and set up. Also included unpacking and moving in a 250# console. Carrie was very responsive on the phone and set up an appointment less than a week out. Travis and Rob arrived on time, got the job done in 3 hours and were very careful and friendly throughout the process. They were very attentive to detail and especially knowledgeable about smart TV's which helped enormously. Recommend them highly Prices are very reasonable.
