The incident occurred in the parking lot, and there was no other possible cause for the damage. I spoke to the site manager, who seemed to understand what happened and wanted to check the debris and talk to his supervisor. I thought they were taking responsibility. I sent a formal request for resolution. The site manager said his supervisor--who wasn't even on site--rejected it and said they would contact me. They never did. Later, I found out Ewell told building management they weren't working outside that day and denied responsibility. If that were true, the site manager would have mentioned it when I first spoke with him. Either way, the company never responded. It seems they value saving a few hundred dollars more than their reputation or respect. Their refusal to take responsibility is baffling and makes me seriously question their integrity as a company. I cannot recommend a company that will not own up to its mistakes. If something worse happens and there's no security camera or other proof, they will likely deny it. I am done wasting time with them and would avoid any involvement.

They cut holes inside in the drywall, which they never repaired, and charged $1800 instead of the $450 in the contract. I paid it, because I need the specific repair work done and did not want to ruffle feathers. HOWEVER, it was like pulling teeth to get an estimate to do the work, and took months just to get that estimate. I was told Darrell was on vacation for a month in the middle of all that. Then, an estimate came that was more like an outline, and definitely not specific enough for anyone to pick up the baton and do the work except them. I did see some of the iPad results of the water test, and believe that much to have been competent. It's the follow through that is TERRIBLE. I still don't get call backs. I should say that my home is a beautiful home with a panoramic roofdeck, tiled fully, with multiple large solarium windows, and a built in tiled jacuzzi spa and outdoor kitchen. It is stunning, but is still only under $1200 square feet. I finally received a more itemized estimate for $480,000.00. Yes, you read that right. They want to rip off the entire top of my house and re-do. But, even for that, it does seem excessive. I called to discuss, and nobody every called me back. That was months ago. I am disappointed and do no see how they are in business, but I think an estimate like this says they are intimidated by this job. Had I known how this would go, I'd have at least held them to the original bid on the water test. Because if all they want to do is start over, why even to the water test? AND, if you pay for a specific service, it should be in a format that can be shared with other contractors. I have ZIP from them for $1800. I would not be leaving this review if they had been conversant and did follow up as one would respect for the amount of time and money spent.

Residents have discovered the vents being covered after weeks of dryer vents backing up and dryers overheating. this alone has a high risk of fire damage. Seriously a piss poor job by them. I'm not wanting to have to use them. Gas vents have been covered on the roofs causing carbon dioxide poisoning.

On Tuesday, I received a visit from Martin De La Torre offering a free estimate for whatever is…read moreneeded to be done to the exterior of my home since they're in the area working on a roof nearby. Ok. I show him an area of stucco underneath the front window overlooking my porch that has been damaged. I make an appointment for Wednesday at 2pm for an estimate. Wednesday at 1:35pm (25 minutes early), I get a visit from Eli Jacobs and Myles McKee-Osibodu regarding the estimate and I inform them I'm only interested in the area where the stucco is damaged. I tell Eli that the only reason I'm entertaining this estimate is because my regular general contractor is building a new bathroom for another client. If he was available, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Eli was not paying attention to me and began looking around the side of my home and noticed another area where the paint was fading and asked if I knew there were paint chipping off and pointed to the area. (WTF? You don't think I notice my own home?) Eli took his iPad and moved towards the opening under the house and TOLD me he would take pictures under the house. He NEVER asked permission! Eli begun to ask more and more questions about this and that regarding the house, the paint job, etc. whilst I kept reminding him I just wanted the stucco repaired. Myles just smiled and wrote notes on a notepad. I told them I wanted a written estimate on paper and not an iPad for the repair. Eli then showed me the pictures he took of the area underneath my home. I rang the doorbell to notify my mother, the homeowner, so she could see the pictures. My mother proceeded to chastise Eli for taking pictures WITHOUT permission. However, Eli chose to make a sales pitch for a bigger construction job for foundation work and a complete paint job for the entire house! Unreal. My mother was not impressed. I kept telling Eli that we did not have the budget for a foundation work or anything else than the damaged stucco on the front of the house above the porch. Eli then informed me how his company worked with the city regarding discounts for homes of the age of my house "for free" but then told me the finance could work out to "about $200 a month" and would cost about $20,000. I told him that was an oxymoron and nothing is for free. My mother was disgusted at the sales pitch and walked away. I had chores to finish and closed the front door. Eli yelled at me to come back to the door. I told him I'm not going to pay for anything but the damaged stucco above the porch. Enough already. Eli threw a look of disgust while he waved hand at the damaged area and told me to notify Martin of what I wanted. I was and am completely disgusted and irritated at Eli's aggressive behavior to force me into a $20,000 construction job I did not want or need. Utter complete bullsh*t. I write to this warn other of this disrespectful and suspicious conduct of a salesman to a homeowner for a service unwarranted. FYI - I have notified our family attorney that Eli Jacobs took pictures of the house WITHOUT PERMISSION. If the photos appear on the internet or any other literature, paper or electronic, and posted to any website or propaganda WITHOUT the WRITTEN consent of the homeowner, my mother, then we will consider legal remedy. DELETE THE PHOTOS OF MY HOME!!!!!
