I hired Ichi Ban roofing to replace my roof 3-years ago. After the first heavy rain, my roof leaked in various areas. I called the business and asked that Ron, the owner, come to look at my issue and discuss repairs. He sent me a quote for another NEW roof. I provided him with my insurance company's recorecommendations for repairs, as they acknowledged that I had a new roof and denied my claim. Ron did not discuss the repairs or insurance company recommendations with me. His office kept calling to schedule a new roof installation, etc and I told them I wasn't interested. He has a very bad reputation in the community and I do not recommend him. Additionally, when the roof was initially repaired, he brought, a man that appeared to be a night club bouncer, with him to collect my final payment. I'm a single woman who he's had no issues collecting payments from and the intimidation tactic was unnecessary and jarring. He prays on woman and is a terrible businessman. read more

I have used Ichi Ban Roofing for more than 15 years. My first roof was Maxi-tile - a composite Spanish Tile installed in 1989. Everybody does not repair or replace Maxi-tile. But Ron knew the product, the warranty and how to repair. If he tells you the best way to repair a roof - you can trust him. When I wanted to install solar panels - he did not recommend over my tile roof - he guaranteed that it would leak but he would be happy to repair & replace tile as needed. 2024 - He tells me that there are simply too many tiles to replace on an old roof. My new asphalt roof was completed promptly and they were very careful to protect my plants and trees. They were completely unresponsive and ultimately I have to replace the roof I paid $18,000 for them to install. Just had a roof replaced. Gutters repaired and the exterior painted. The work was performed in the most professional manner I've ever experienced. All of the crews worked 6 day weeks. They arrived early and often stayed late. It is a rather large house. Ron put 20 guys on the roof teardown so it would be completed in one business day. He used 2-3 roofer teams to complete the roof in 2wks. All the while, the painters worked the exterior and other workers focused on the gutters. These guys took their time and focused on excellent prep prior to painting. Took them about 28 days to complete the paint. All of the teams protected the property, especially my recently remodeled pool area. Ron and his son were frequently on site. Ron drove the quality of the work to meet expectations and on more than one occasion drove rework to meet those expectations. In some cases Ron's workmanship expectations exceeded my own. Cost and quality are two different things. I selected Ichi Ban because Ron did a roof for me on a different house decades ago, when he and his family were just getting started. The roof was beautiful and never gave me a worry. I selected Ron to do this job because I knew I could trust him to do what he says and stand by his work...and now he does paint as well. Where do I begin??! Initially I gave them a review on Yelp, some 3 years back. I was over the top amazed, even referred them to my Pastor. Ron came out in the rain to take a look at our roof, did a quick patch (which is leaking now), told me that there were a couple other spots that would need some work and that he'd send me an estimate. Fast forward to now, those spots he mentioned do need some work. I called, got an appointment, even got "Ron Jr." to stop by and take a look. Came down, showed me the pics he took, "should be about $1500 -$1800, but I'll have my dad check my numbers and we'll send you an estimate". That was 3 weeks, 2 texts, and a phone call ago. We were experiencing some roof damage from the latest rain weather. I called Ichi Ban roofing who installed our roof in 2006. Typical warranty is 5 years. They came out and performed a free roof maintenance service and repaired our roof. This service included: Remove and replace several damaged shingles, relaying black paper, re-sealing all vent pipes and chimneys.
