This is the mall to go to if you're looking for cheap clothes. They mostly cater to the high school set. Needless to say, it used to be my favorite mall to visit back when I was into stocking up on trendy clothes and shoes from a dozen different stores for cheap. Other than that, though, the mall doesn't have a lot going for it in terms of "browsing" if that's what you're into. I'd avoid it unless you're in your teens and you need some new tube tops and platform sandals. The shopping here is decent and this place has the typical stores you would expect in any American mall. And this place has different types of shops for different types of consumers, from discount (i.e. Target, Old Navy) to almost high-class (i.e. Macy's, Coach). And the food selection is ok here too. It's not exactly the best mall in terms of shop choices, but at least it's there if you are somewhat hesitant to commute to L.A. to shop because of the traffic. read more

All my childhood memories here are being shit on and it makes me sad. This mall was so great way back when. They had a variety of wonderful stores and good food in the food court (they even had a Baja Fresh y'all). But now this mall is just slowly falling apart. It's almost apocalyptic.. they still have some cool stores and even the cheaper clothing stores are, in my opinion, awesome. But it's so dead here and all my favorite stores are there one day and gone the next. They got rid of the McDonalds in here bruh, that was their first mistake. Honestly now that I think of it, ever since they took McDonalds out everything else began to fall apart lol. They best not get rid of Hollister if they know what's good for em. Also, they still have a Sears??? It's about to be 2020 guys, get your act straight. Does anyone remember when this mall was uncovered and only one level, with The Broadway as an anchor tenant? I do. The last time I was here was almost 40 years ago when I lived a couple blocks away. It was interesting to see what's become of it. There used to be a toy store somewhere, which I'm sure is gone. From other reviews, sounds like the place has gone down hill a little. That happens. Please do something about the childrens play area! The last few times I have gone with my toddlers they have nearly gotten trampled! There are much older children who take to this area and run around so hard they are litterally bouncing off the walls, knocking babies over, and bumping hard into parents. It is OUT OF CONTROL! If you are allowing older children in this area the mall needs to provide staff to referee them. It is common sense that kids left unattended will ratched up thier play it's only natural. Its a matter of time before someone breaks an arm or gives a kid a concussion. We probably won't be coming back unless this gets addressed. A standard size mall and you won't get lost for sure. They have a variety of stores that you can go to. If you still can't find what you want then you can prolly go to the outlets. But so far, this mall is decent and easy to shop since it's not always crowded unless if it's holiday. They have a few food stores at the food court. It's okay, but compared to the oaks, it's pretty dirty and messy especially the food court. My favorite store is definitely sweet factory and I love their candy. Some stores are cramped and small especially hot topic. And they recently put balls into the claw machines-- please put toys back there again, especially the little people with green outfits and red hats read more

Having worked in this mall for 15 months and shopping there ever since it was the Buenaventura Mall (1 story and open air...who else remembers the good old days?), I can say with honesty that this mall really isn't all that. Parking is pretty inconvenient (I will say there is a LOT of it), the variety of stores (other than Coach) is pretty mid to low end, the clientele...let's just say it's getting to hit Centerpoint Mall status and leave it at that. The people they have working at "Guest Relations' are usually females yapping about who they're dating, who they'd rather be dating, and aren't very polite when asked a question or approached to purchase a mall gift card. For as unhappy as I am whenever I shop here, it's almost more worth it to me (when I'm in the area anymore, at any rate) to journey up the Grade, pass up even the Oaks and head to Topanga. read more

Now things have changed, and this mall has continuously tried to revamp its image by adding in stores like Coach and Aeropostale, in an attempt to appeal to the upperclass, but they just can't compete with the Thousand Oaks Mall. I remember when the Pacific View Mall did it's massive remodel back in the 90's I believe it was, well it due for another one. It really hasn't been improved enough and the stores are OK but if you're looking for some really good shopping you'd head down to the TO Mall I hate to say it. It's got a good qualities, the CPK has always been good. Also Red Robin is pretty bomb too, the store selections are your typical mid-range mall. Like I said, if you really want to go to an awesome mall go to the TO mall or any Westfield mall. It's worth the drive. read more

I'm giving a 1star for security. I was there for appx 2hours and within that time someone had taken a sticker off my car window. I was parked in the NW parking lot(behind Claires and Sears) it is a pretty busy and frequented lot. How in the world did security not see someone tinkering at the back of an Acura?? I tried flagging down a security person cruising thru but he looked the other way. How about that? I know it's a sticker but I'm shopping with my 2 young kids and the idea that someone was chipping away at my car for a $2 sticker is completely senseless! read more

BEWARE!! Pacific View Mall is FINE but I'm trying to post a review of a particular store within that Mall. Its called Senses. They sell poor quality shoes for high quality prices. It has been cold with a capital C here in lovely Ventura Ca. I fell into this store by accident, bought some fake leather ankle boots to replace my ever present "slippers" worn for every occasion in Hawaii. I needed something bit more for dakine weather here. Tried them on. Slightly something not right but paid the 30.00 for them, not realizing no return, reached for receipt, couldn't find it, was already buried in the bag. Ok...got home put them on walked little bit on thick carpet so as not to scuff them or stretch them, then took them off as a bruise was already forming on my ankle. Took them back immediately next day could not do it that night as store was closing. No more time. When I took them back next day, was told, by same sales girl, in no uncertain terms NO REFUNDS, NO MATTER WHAT. STORE POLICY. YOU BUY, YOU KEEP. In small print on small sign on bottom of cash register "no refunds". Her back up sales person popped out of the back room and said it's on the receipt...that I didn't get a chance to look at. Not a word was mentioned about store policy...I would have appreciated knowing that prior to buying defective, not matching shoes. It's a good mall. But had very bad experience with Target today. Wanted to buy a very cute dress but when I went to self check out it said can't sell until 9-29! Wtf. Store assistant came by and she didn't know either what was going on. She called somebody and that person said it's not supposed to be on the floor. I was like the dress is on the freaking mannequin. I mean come on i just want to buy it. Another associate came by explaining that they can't sell it until till. That it was a mistake from a new employee. I said I don't care I wanted to buy it. A little history for you here. This mall use to be called the Buena Ventura Mall lol. Back when the main entrance near the food court was a huge football helmet and they had a cool arcade called the gold mine or something like that. Anyways I think the best times I had going to this mall was when I was a kid. Now it's just a mediocre mall to me. I mean it has a lot of good stores like H&M, Old Navy, Champs, Vans, etc, but it's just not a popular as it use to be. You could usually find what you looking for and it beats driving to Thousand Oaks Mall, although I've been to that mall recently and they've done wonders to that mall lol. wife and I were there having a her and I time enjoying ourselves each other's company I did go into a couple of different stores one was Sears and T-Mobile neither stores acknowledged me even though busy the T-Mobile here in Carpinteria still acknowledge now back to Ventura mall the other was sears went to footwear only looked around cashier was busy ringing it's weird layout there looked around area walked by 3 employees standing and chatting neither acknowledged me 'I can see one reason sears are closing stores' walked by again to different area of footwear still no acknowledgement makes me not wanna go into that sears the other was Target got acknowledged by one employee friendly and assisted by another friendly employee didn't find what I was looking for but associate gave me a recommendation which I did. read more

Not very impressive though it has all the basics (for now). Stores are constantly going in and out if business at this location. Even Cathy Jean disappeared! Pacific Mall's consistency really needs to pick up. It's even spreading to the food court as I just found out today that my family's go to Mongolian BBQ and Rubio's has gone out of business. They also need restaurants with solid happy hours to bring in the soused up customers. The Red Robin and CPK onsite are quite pitiful in this category. Ventura needs a solid mall! Good thing the Camarillo outlets and the Oaks in TO are semi-close by. read more

My husband and I just moved to Oxnard. Being new to the area we thought we would "explore." We were headed to the beach when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a MACY'S much to my delight!! I am not a super Macy's shopper or anything like that but I do find comfort knowing that Macy's is nearby. We decided to stop on our way back. I have to say we did get lost trying to find it. (Just part of being new) We had a nice lunch in the food court and really enjoyed the ocean view while eating. Target- what can I say I love this store! Hard thing was hauling all of our Target purchases back through the mall to our car parked outside of Macy's. Poor planning on our part. It was pretty sad seeing all of the empty kiosks. I wasn't sure if it's the economy or the fact that it was a Monday? This is a great mall, I'm sure we will be back. read more

Fairly large and decent mall. The corridors are clean and people are decent. Parking on the weekends can be difficult to find close to your destination, but I suppose every mall is similar! I can't say there is really any store this mall MUST have - you've got all the basics, and even an attached target! The only thing I don't like all that much is the people who stand at the top of the escalator by the food court - they will literally chase you down to try and get you to try (and ultimately buy) their product. This is a medium size mall that meets most of your shopping needs unless you are into super high end brand names. If you live in Ventura county this is a one stop shop. It is very busy and there is a lot of traffic but it is very quiet mid week and there are several restaurants and other small stores near by. read more

One day, on the way back to Agoura Hills from Santa Barbara my girlfriend and I decided to stop by the Pacific View Mall. The mall was nothing special, it felt like it was more targeted for teens as in it had all the shops we would have gone into when we were in high school. We were unable to find anything while we were there. It also didn't feel as well kept as somewhere like The Oaks Mall. However, the building design was nice and it was not overly crowded. read more

The mall is not one of my favorite places. I don't love shopping. They have plenty of good stores and a lot of good food options (not a big fan of mall food though). The people in the booths are pretty annoying, they approach people very desperately and don't want to take a no for an answer. The mall is not that big, like you won't get lost type of size lol but big enough to find what you're looking for. The mall is clean and most employees are helpful. Parking can be a challenge during the weekend. The bathrooms are usually clean and there is plenty of sitting areas. read more
