I've had an issue with one of them for the last 10 years. Just to give a synopsis of some of the issues, I had to have a different one put in by the same dentist because the first one that was put in was too large. While I was in the chair getting the first one done. I had apparently chewed a hole into my cheek and was not informed that I was bleeding until I was horrified to feel that in my mouth. When I mentioned it, I was told oh it happens. It's not a big deal. It'll heal. Fast forward a few years and have had nothing but problems with a margin that's wrong. The tooth that was never put on correctly food getting stuck in between the two crowns, bleeding, and trouble with getting insurance to pay for me to get a new crown. This has been nothing but a nightmare for me. I would never recommend going to this dentist.

I have two dental insurance plans, normally I don't pay a co-pay because of this. This time I'm…read moretold that since both plans are with United Concordia they both count as one, and that I should cancel one because I was just wasting money ( She qualified her statement by telling me how many years experience she had). After they had collected two co-pays I contacted United Concordia and was told that my Federal plan was primary, and my State plan was secondary but both would pay. I took the email to Dr. McGlothlin's staff, she said it must have been a resent change and agreed to refund the co-pays. Then an appointment was set for October 23rd for implants. Two weeks prior to the appointment I received a call. I was told that Dr. Kitts wanted to see me prior to the 23rd since it had been two years since I'd been seen to ensure that nothing had changed. I said " It hadn't been two years, closer to two months". She called back to say the Doctor still wanted to see me. Now in my heart I believed this to be no more than padding, but I drove the 600 miles from SC for the appointment. My fears were confirmed when the Doctor did no more than look at the previous x-rays and began giving me options for a treatment plan. I explained to the Doctor that we had already agreed on a plan and that I was scheduled for the implants on Friday. He said ok , you must have talked to the other doctor but we can do it that way. Now not only do I believe this appointment was padding, the guy wants me to believe that I had spoken to someone else. I arrived on the 23rd. to a warm greeting and then I was given a verbal plan that was different from what I'd agreed . When I objected I was told that Dr. McGlothlin and Dr. Kitts had discussed it and agreed. I told her that they hadn't discussed it with me. She went in the back and came back with the correct plan, but it was to late, Trust and confidence had already left the room, and I followed it out of the door without being seen. While I've never actually been a patient at this practice (so I cannot attest to the quality of…read moremedicine), I can say that the customer service is awful and certainly was bad enough to never want to be a patient! My father has had 9 strokes in the last year. He is finally recovering to the point that he can walk, but it's very clear that he's wobbly and needs a heavy assist. He has been asking to see a dentist, and today was finally his appointment. It is rather cold today in Maryland, and the parking situation is not great, so it was quite an ordeal to get my father from the car into the building. Turns out, there are two dental practices next to each other. We happened to enter Dr.Fritz office, which I found out was incorrect. The blond receptionist was beyond rude, and didn't bother to help when she could see I was struggling. All she could say was "he's not on my books" and looked very nonchalant and bothered by my being there. She sets a horrible tone for the office and her management should know how she makes their practice look. Would never walk in again, no matter the quality of medicine preformed because of how badly I was treated.
