I had a bunch of problems like an infected root canal, pain and swelling, and a bunch of wisdom teeth that were all causing me problems and the doctor explained everything to me in a way I could understand. I was dealing with my problems for months and he told me how to fix it. he referred me to an endodontist but they didn't have one in office so I went to a different place and got it done. I wouldn't have known what I needed and what was wrong unless I went to this place. my dentist before wouldn't address my concerns and just put me on antibiotics, very grateful to have found this location with this staff. read more

By far the worst dental office I have attended. Last time I went in I waited for about 2 - 2 1/2 hours of my appointment time only for them to tell me I couldn't be seen because my insurance only covers a certain amount of visits for the year because of my age and I exceeded that limit so they told me to just reschedule. It was such a waste of my time and unprofessional to even make my appointment because it was made months prior. The wait time was absolutely absurd. read more

This dental office is a scam. They don't perform the proper exam, or cleaning. I had tooth sensitivity on one side and all they advised was to "change toothpaste". Turns out after switching Dentists, I am in need of a root canal. Their cleanings are a joke; they skip the whole process and just do a "polish" of your teeth. Do not bother booking ! Mehran is unprofessional, improper and not worthy of any recommendations from any colleagues. I was a new, referred patient. after a 1 hour waiting appointment, I expressed my feelings once Mehran (the father) took me in. This clown response was that " I am only a consultation". I was there to specifically see the specialist( who happens to be his son ). The son requested X-rays - However the dad was talking shit, in their language and claimed that the machine was not working. His son, the Periodontist, was embarrassed and apologized for his father's behavior. I had horrible dental pain and decided to come to a dentist office that was near home and that I knew, first the office is not professional (Maury was playing on the tv) second the dentist was in a rush so after a couple of hours when I returned home I had severe pain when the anesthesia wore off and tooth sensitivity, so I had to return the following day so that he could fix the problem. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the dental assistant was kind and very comforting. Oh and the tooth I was trying to inquire about never was resolved still have heaps of pain. read more

We called him several times to make sure he doesn't charge our insurance but he wouldn't return our calls. This doctor is a scam and should be reported!! My mom who is older went there for cleaning, since it was her first time they took some Xrays and was told she needed several crowns. My mom was a little surprised and asked if there was any discount. Dr. Fakheri told her he could run up the cost on her insurance and use the money towards her bill! To make things worst after she told me, I took her to another doctor for a second opinion and was told there was nothing wrong with her teeth!! This place is not good for children. The last time I took my daughter here, maybe about a year and a half ago or so I had them remove a loose tooth because my daughter was terrified of wiggling it or anyone else wiggling it. Instead of being understanding and patient with my daughter, the doctor seemed annoyed about the whole thing. It felt like, ah man I can't make any money off this patient, this appointment sucks. The staff here was very helpful. They got me in for a same day appointment because I was in a lot of pain and needed a tooth pulled. The Dentist was gentle and kind. Their price was more than fair and was almost half the amount that another place quoted me and they were going to have me wait a week with me in pain. So I'm glad this place took me in on such short notice. They're also taking precautions due to COvID19 which I appreciate. Nice clean friendly environment. Worse experience ever. Dr. Fakheri is very unprofessional and a thief. After 4 attempts on a bridge he was unable to measure properly, and blamed it on his lab numerous times since March 2021-June 2021. He was rude and never communicate how to resolve. I was told nothing will be charged due to being they're fault. He's incompetent in getting proper measurements and was quick to even place blame on me also. Last attempt he filed my good teeth and laser my gums for the 4th time. I left in tears, he walked out to never return or discuss the matter properly. I requested a refund, in which I paid up front. He refused to give me a full refund and felt he should keep $975.00 worth for his lost time. Manager was useless and in no concern to resolve, it took 2 weeks to obtain my partial refund of $1275.00. I have been coming to this dental office since I was a child and I have always liked the dentist and the staff, however, I will never go back. One reason being that the X-ray equipment they put in your mouth looks old and dirty. I always had to question if it was clean and sanitized. The main reason I will never return is from a recent visit experience. I brought my 3 year old in for a check up and he had about 3 cavities. The Dentist insisted on putting silver fillings for my son, but I would never put silver fillings on my kids, so I requested white fillings. He kept insisting that silver is fine and that my Medi-Cal insurance (which I pay a monthly fee for) wouldn't cover white fillings any way and I would have to pay $100 per tooth. I called another dental office specifically for kids (ABC Kids Dental in Sun Valley) and I was told that my Medi-Cal plan did cover the white fillings and I wouldn't have to pay a thing. I called Pacoima Dental Center back and informed them of this information and they stated that my insurance plan was just changed and it "now" covered the white fillings. Mind you, I called them back one day after I visited their offices. How was my insurance plan changed within one day without my permission? I was very disappointed as I really trusted this office, but I am just glad I found a new dental office I can actually trust. Response to their reply: Thanks for the response. I appreciate your advice, however, as the mother of MY child, I am the one who decides what is best for him and I don't need someone pressuring me into doing something I don't feel is right. I have done my research as well, and if done correctly, the white filling is less sensitive to hot and cold temperatures, making it a better filling for young patients. There is also less removal of the tooth structure and they can be easily matched to the color of your tooth. White fillings will not corrode and are mercury-free, which is a better alternative for your child's health overall. In the past decade, white fillings have significantly improved and continue to last patients up to 20 years. One of the downsides to silver fillings is that more of your child's healthy tooth may need to be removed to make room for the filling. This tends to weaken the teeth and make them more susceptible to breaking, while white fillings bond to the natural tooth and restore most of its strength. I came in for a 2nd opinion for my wisdom teeth. I was set to get them pulled even though they aren't bothering me, but wanted a cheaper price for the procedure. I came here and got straightforward unbiased advice. He could have just underbid my previous quote and did the surgery, but told me it was not in my best interest as it could cause more harm trying to extract them then just leaving them. My husband and I moved to Northern California and we have to look for a new dentist now, but it sure won't be easy. Dr. Fakheri is the best dentist that I had ever been to in my life. I don't usually give a review but this is really in a hope to help the clinic improve their service for next time and for other patients. Their teeth cleaning is a joke! The dental assistant took less than 5 minutes to do my supposed prophylaxis! I could have done a better job brushing and flossing. He didn't even use any of those metal picks to scrub the plaque off my teeth! I'm even thinking of going to my insurance to ask them not count this visit as one of my two prophylaxes a year. I go for prophylaxis twice a year and I went to his clinic for the first time only because we moved to this area last year. I know how it feels when it's done right! I really hope this Pacoima Family Dental will check out how other dental clinics do prophylaxis. To be fair though, the resident dentist and the staff are really nice and friendly, their instruments appear to be up to date and hi-tech but unfortunately I won't be coming back. read more

My father had been going to another dentist in Granada Hills where he received bad service and they were unable to get approval from the insurance for a denture and partial that my father needed. We wasted months there. Then, I brought my father to Pacoima dental. Dr. Fakheri did some preliminary work that was needed, then Adela was placed in charge of getting the approval for the denture and partial and we got it! Wow I can't say enough good things about this dental office but here it goes! 1) professional and courteous when scheduling an appointment. I was not put on hold at any time during my conversation with the secretary. 2) The young ladies at the front desk are so kind and actually have smiles. 3) The dental assistant/x-ray dental assistant very professional also with a smile and explains everything that's been done as she moves along. 4) The facility has a great parking area lots of space easy to access. 5) The office is immaculate and the rooms are so cute for the children section and the adult rooms are very nice. There bathroom is so clean and has the cutest sink. 6) No waiting I am so amazed! 6) Dr. Ron Wonderful immediately makes you feel at ease and has a wonderful smile. when explaining what he needs to do or suggesting what you need he is very explicit and professional. 7) Dr. Ron has a quick turnaround appointment no waiting if it is urgent.
