Love the food and pad thai specially. They could be open earlier. Prices are normal like in the condesa.

Chicken Pad Thai was a bit on the sour side of sweet & sour.

The place seems to have been redecorated & repainted, and I like the bright blues and reds of the dining area. The restaurant provided an assortment of sauces that I could use to create whatever particular flavor I wanted. There was sweet, spicy, salty, and savory. The Pad Thai was a bit more sour than I would have liked, but I added a couple of sauces to taste in different amounts over the course of the meal. That was fun.

Incredible food. I've never had better pad Thai. Even my Uber picky eaters (16 and 14 yo) loved it

The service was amazing and the waiter that we had amazing recommendations for both food and drinks (Tom Yum). I would definitely recommend anyone to come here...the locals love it and everything was perfect!

I had dinner at Galanga with my mom and brother a week or so ago when we were in Mexico City on…read morevacation together. I'd heard a lot of great things about Galanga (and read about it in the Michelin Guide), and because of that - and because it's vegan-friendly for my vegan mom - I chose it for one of our evenings in Mexico City. Unfortunately, the meal just didn't live up to our expectations. The restaurant is beautiful and very comfortable. But when we arrived, we were told that they were out of many things on the menu - not one dish, not two - I'd say about 8 items on the menu, including most of the dishes we were most excited to try. Ultimately, we ordered a raw scallop dish, vegan Pad Thai, and Pad Kra Pao. I enjoyed the raw scallop dish - spicy and fresh - but the other two dishes were fine (flat and maybe not as expected - the Pad Kra Pao, for example, wasn't made from ground beef but from chunks of beef that weren't the most tender but weren't bad). I also had a cocktail that was quite nice - lots of coconut and tropical flavors. The other main issue we had was with the service during our meal. While our server was extremely friendly, the service was chaotic. They brought a dish to our table that we said we hadn't ordered. They left it at the table anyway, so we figured whatever, we'll eat it. We'd had a few bites and then they came back and said we'd been right, that we hadn't ordered it, and took it away, which was strange, since they couldn't serve it to the correct table now anyway. We had to ask for another bottle of water several times - it never came, so we kept asking. We finally got one after asking three times, I believe. It seemed like the staff or kitchen were having a very off night, and that happens. But when a place is recommended by the Michelin Guide, you just expect a little more. Our experience at Galanga reminded me of trying out a restaurant that has been open for a week or two and is still in its soft opening and figuring things out. In a city with so many great restaurants, I just can't imagine I'd return, nor could I recommend it to friends that visit Mexico City. They might have just been having a tough night, but it was perhaps the most disappointing meal I've had over three trips to Mexico City.

My review is based on the three dishes I ordered: spring rolls, chicken satay, and pho. The spring rolls were probably the best thing I had. Tasted how you would expect. However, the peanut sauce that had accompanied them was overly sweet. 3.5/5 The satay was RAW. Ate only one full satay skewer because I couldn't eat the rest. 1/5 The most disappointing dish was the pho. The broth lacked depth in flavor and any fragrance characteristic of pho. It was almost as if they didn't try. The portion of noodles was quite small; I finished the noodles in about three bites. The broth is traditionally poured scalding hot over raw meat but instead, it was warm and it took a while for the meat to cook. 1.5/5 Do not recommend. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the waiter was friendly.

Probably the worse pho I ever had, but probably one of the best in DF. If you're looking for authenticity this isn't the place...but you probably won't find it in all of DF. It's kinda like looking for authentic tacos in Vietnam. The restaurant itself is small and has a hole-in-the-wall charming feel. It's off the main drag so you can escape the bar crowed and duck in for a drink or two. Price wise this place is pretty expensive, even for La Condesa standards. So if you're stomach was hurting from street tacos and you want soup, it's 11:30pm and the ramen bars are closed...then give them a try. Otherwise skip.
