I drove the big bus for the school for this event today. I didn't take any photos of the park due to the kids; wouldn't be appropriate! If you want to see photos how things are setup look on their website. * Love how the kids water area is setup! They have a lot of large umbrellas set up all around to sit under. They also have a lazy river and large pool. Every one had a great time today! This is definitely a great place for families for the day. That said, plenty of chair to choose from, if you're willing to cross the lazy river by foot you can set up your things in the middle of the lazy river and enjoy a bit quieter of an area. They have this pool moderately warm 82 degrees or so so I'm able to swim my laps. There is sometimes swim team or lessons going on but they do not use all the lanes so I've been able to swim every time I've gone in my own lane.

The charm and overall scene is decent enough, no argument. What is so unfortunate is the town government apparently recently (2026) made all public parking a pay scheme generator. Sad. A total sell-out and a clear signal that they don't value and want to attract tourists- they see tourists as suckers to inflate their town bottom line It's not nice enough to justify that. We do value the nearby Amelia Island Plantation area and the outstanding resorts of the Omni or Ritz Carlton.
