Her tour is designed to give you a calm, relaxing vibe as you cruise the Las Olas canals via paddleboard! Despite my amazing ability to swim like a rock, under Natasha's direction, I still felt comfortable and safe the entire time! She made sure my boo and I didn't fall behind while also keeping watch of the experienced paddleboard couple that ventured out ahead. There was some instruction time with safety tips before we boarded and I loved the added feature of her offering some waterproof pouches for our phones. There was nothing I would change about this tour except if I could go again and if I could doggy-sit Mr. Beaches :D

We had an excellent time with SUP Pup!…read more Our group consisted of about 11 people of all skill levels, and we all managed to have fun. Natasha is really easy-going, friendly, and patient (which is important when you have a loud and easily distracted group!). She let us put our stuff on her boat and hang out there for a little bit until everyone from our group had arrived. Then, we were given a short lesson that included safety, how to paddle, and how to stand up. She demonstrated both on land and in the water. After helping us get in, one at a time, she took us around the canals and made sure we didn't get run over by any boaters. Not everyone in our group chose to stand up, but even those who sat or kneeled the entire time had fun. It was my first-time ever and I stood up for the majority of the ride! It is definitely a workout for your core and legs. And Natasha shared some great tips for how to keep your balance when boats pass by or when you're just "standing" still. Additionally, she frequently asked if we were okay and if we were having a good time. She and her boyfriend took lots of photos too, which she later sent to us. This was great, since most of us didn't bring our phones on the paddleboard. Mr. Beaches (her corgi) is ADORABLE and rides on Natasha's paddleboard. I thought it was the cutest thing that he would bark whenever someone fell off their board. If you didn't hear the splash, you knew someone had fallen because of Mr. Beaches. At the end of our ride, which was about 1.5 hours, Natasha helped us get out of the water, one-by-one and then served a yummy cheese and meat platter. We were all pretty hungry and made it disappear rather quickly! I'd definitely do this again.

Lauderdale a couple times (for drinks not the beach) and we explained how we weren't locals and since the bridge was down walking to our local beach was under construction Ron offered to pick us up from our hotel, bring us to our local beach and since it was a cold day (for Florida, not for NJ locals as ourselves! - it was prob 69 degrees) he said he could spend the 4 hours with us since it would be a slow day. This was our first time paddle boarding and Ron is a great instructor! I picked up balancing on my feet after a couple minutes & we talked about how I teach/dance ballet and he knew a couple Miami city ballerinas, initially my friend and I thought it could be weird having a stranger with us for 4 hours but we ended up making a friend and had so much fun! Spent about 3 hours in John Lloyd State park to get used to boat traffic/go through the mangroves/experience waves & we had so much fun time flew by! Ended up spending the last hour at the beach which was a lot of fun seeing local surfers a few waves away, so happy we decided to rent/learn from Ron! It was quite an experience and was best to do it on the last day of our vacation because our arms were killing during the flight back home!! Thank you so much Ron! Will definitely spread the word and will hope to see you next year!!!

While the park has…read moremany things to explore, the kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals are handled by Park and Ocean. Located a short walk from the first parking lot, Park and Ocean provides some much needed shade and refreshments during the South Florida summer. I had never been here before, so I arrived a little early to check the place out and reserve kayaks for my friends and I. The young lady at the desk was extremely helpful in explaining all the possible options, safety measures, and pricing. She let me know how to get down to the launch area and that there would be lockers for the things we didn't want to get wet, which turned out to be extremely helpful. We went down to the launch and were saddled with great kayaks. The lake is pretty much a straight line, so it's very good for practicing, beginners, and nice scenery. There is a little secret passage which can provide needed shade as well. We planned to have lunch there, but by the time we got done and completely rained on, the restaurant wasn't open yet. So, we used the walkway to access the beach until it was time. The restaurant boasts great local beer on tap and delicious cocktails, as well as elevated bar food and seafood options. I really enjoyed the conch fritters, which were well seasoned and flavorful. Be careful if you don't like spicy food. The young lady who was so helpful in the morning with kayak bookings also told us that the park puts on a reptile exhibition at one, so we were able to take the kids to check out. I will be back soon to try out their other menu items and drinks, and practice with my new paddle board. Hope to see you there.
