I wish I could just get a plate of bacon when I come here because the bacon is so so good. I continued the evening with more pig products and got the pork tenderloin with the maple bourbon glaze and wild rice and asparagus. This was super Duper Duper Duper excellent!! And I totally loved this meal. I was able to complement it with some Sangiovese from I don't remember where but it was also really light and delicious for a summer day. Back to the meal, the asparagus was perfectly cooked and the wild rice had really great flavor. Not surprisingly, I didn't have any room for dessert because I already had lots of food and I also stole a bite of the beef and brisket burger which was excellent along with the french fries that were also very good.

Both burgers were ordered medium rare, but the Smoked Gouda Burger came out closer to medium/well done, making it a bit dry. The service was a letdown. Water is served in small mason jars, and ours was never refilled until we requested water after being there for an hour. We also requested sauce. Both never arrived until our table asked for it a second time which took about 10 minutes later to get to us. To top it off, we were handed to go boxes while we were still eating. We realized a table nearby asked for boxes and had been waiting for it to leave. The experience felt a little disorganized. Would I come back? Maybe, but I'd probably skip the burgers and try one of the pannekoeken instead if I'm feeling something sweet, since that's what Hollandberry is really known for.
