A banana pannekoeken with a rum sauce and powdered sugar.

We found this cozy little spot just a few blocks from the hotel while we were in town visiting the Mayo Clinic. The front store dressing stands out, and smells amazing, even from the parking lot. We walked in during the early afternoon and got seated right away. The server brought us drinks right out and gave us just enough time to peruse the menu. Though, the menu is quite large, so it might take longer if you're looking at anything but their namesake, the pannekoekens. I ordered the banana pannekoeken, as is never had one before. If you love dessert-y breakfasts, these are a must try. They're not overly sweet, but certainly hit my sweet tooth. They're easy to cut and feel so soft in your mouth. The side of sausage was pretty yummy too, but nothing to write home about.

The reviews are true! Great breakfast spot with a vibrant atmosphere and cool vibe. I had the Steele cut oatmeal. He had French toast. Excellent. Plus my own pot of coffee!

The only Pannekoeken in Mpls (SLP) closed last year. My friend was craving her go to Pannekoeken breakfast that she convinced me to take a roadtrip with her just to check out this location. We arrived maybe 2.5 hrs to closing time, they were out of pretty much all the bake goods. I ordered the banana foster pannekoeken and always love when they sing "pannekoeken" as they bring it out the kitchen. The Pannekoeken was a bit different than the one I was used too, personally didn't enjoy it as much here. My friend said the same about her breakfast but she does often bring up taking the trip back to give it another try. I ordered a specialty coffee and there must have been miscommunication because another wait staff came over with the drink but the 2nd drink (which they took back after realizing) was better garnished and looking overall. So a bit of inconsistency there. It's a cute restaurant, probably gets busy daily but worth checking out. Would definitely go back to check out other Pannekoekens.

First of all, let me tell you guys how surprised I was to find out that I almost lived my whole life never trying something that is probably now one of my top 5 favorite deserts! And even more surprising is the fact that I discovered it on a random medical trip to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. I can't spell Pannekoeken if my life depended on it, I literally have to see the correct spelling next to me to repeat it, but this is so delicious it's insane. It's everything that a pancake or a crepe wish they were. This is a danish pancake, and the Danes really did it right! After having this, you're never going to wanna go back to eating American pancakes. No I'm not exaggerating, I've never had a pancake in my life that beats this or even comes close. I tried some of their other food but honestly the Pannekoeken is what you need to try. The rum sauce and the real maple Syrup are really yummy too. We enjoyed the apple one the most. Their other bakery items are also really good, their cookies and muffins are great. Overall I think this place really shines for the deserts.

Loved our experience at this restaurant! Walked through the door to be greeted with pastries + the scent of coffee. Walked further to be greeted with a server with a smiling face. All of our food was so tasty! A couple of kids meals were ordered. Grilled cheese and pancake meals were enjoyed from the kids. The adults had a delicious omelette (can't go wrong with any combination of flavors they offer) as well as a soup/ sandwich combo that hit the spot. What a great family meal enjoyed here. We also took a cinnamon roll to go that was great in ooey-gooey goodness! Hope to be back someday!

Food was great for brunch. Definitely interested in trying the pannekoekens and muffins next time. My group got different dishes and I was recommended the Dutch skillet which I enjoyed with the balance of sausage, veggies, hashbrown, eggs, and side of fruit! It was a bit pricey but given that it was for brunch I think it was worth it and very filling. I wish the fruit included some more berries and it was unfortunate that some of their muffins were out. Service was very busy especially on the weekend we went and we had to wait quite a while. It was unfortunate because after waiting for a half hour our food also took another half hour to get out and one of my friends had to go and wasn't able to get their takeout in time. Ambiance was very busy but it did smell amazing! It was fun to hear them shout pannekoken when they served them to guests. It was great to catch up though with friends here.

Shout out to Sayer for the super cute latte art! Traci our server was also very helpful with dietary restrictions. I was easily able to find a GF and DF option (they have GF bread not listed on their menu that was good! Might have been Udis)

    Apple Pecan Pannekoeken

Went to Hollandberry Pannekoeken for breakfast and it totally lived up to the hype. I got the Dutch Skillet, and it was phenomenal. Huge portion, super filling, and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. I love that you can customize it a bunch of different ways but it still keeps the same solid base -- eggs, potatoes, meat, veggies, cheese, all cooked just right. Definitely one of the better breakfast skillets I've had. I also ordered the Apple Pecan Pannekoeken, and it was amazing. Tons of flavor, really generous portion, and the thick syrup they serve with it is rich and delicious. The apples were warm and soft, the pecans added a great crunch -- it's basically dessert for breakfast in the best way possible. The vibe is nothing fancy, but it's cozy and relaxed -- exactly what you want from a local breakfast spot. Service was friendly and quick even though the place was pretty busy. You can tell it's popular with both locals and visitors. Overall, awesome food, big portions, fair prices, and a super chill atmosphere. If you're in Rochester and love a good breakfast, this place is 100% worth checking out.

Delicious food, quick service and a very large open format space. The muffins are so delicious and soft that I couldn't even get a photo before we partially devoured it. We had the Ruben, Salmon salad and egg white omelette when stopping in for lunch. The Ruben was overly salty, but the onion rings well balanced and not too greasy. The salmon salad was fresh and light but filling. The omelette was your standard and not overcooked. The blackberry muffin was out of this world and a must try.

A friend highly recommended Forager Cafe, which is why I went there with high expectations. Hmmmm,…read morehow can I say this....I was disappointed. I ordered their black and tan beer. A tasty choice (check out the photo). Then I asked for a reuben sandwich with a side of fries. I really liked the two-tone rye bread. There was modest amount of corned beef. Notice I didn't say 'generous.' The kraut, Swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing were a solid compliment. BUT the fries.... Check out the photo and look at the fries. These were double dunked in oil, greasy and sogged out, slightly charred, and meh tasting. I looked over at another patron's plate of food and saw her fries looked perfect. Golden, single dunk in oil, and crisp. Can I add a sad face emoji here? I called over the bartender and had him look at my fries, then look at the other patron's, and tell me the difference. He saw what I saw. I told him what was wrong with mine and asked why. He apologized and said he'd take 50% off my food bill. I saw him go back to the kitchen and have a conversation about my fries, which I appreciated. He didn't blow me off and let the kitchen know they dropped the ball. I've eaten at a lot of places from dives to fine dining, and I think the sign of good eatery is one that can excel at the basics.....like french fries. Plus, when you have your "A" staff working in the kitchen, but your staff sends out subpar fries to a customer...what does that say about the kitchen staff and leadership? Will I go back? Not sure, but there other places I've eaten at in Rochester that are consistently good. If I ever have family or friends in town and we go out to eat, we're not going to Forager Cafe.

My only complaint was the size of the side salad that I ordered with my burger. It was by far the smallest side salad that I have received at any food establishment. In fact, I honestly thought it was a joke. Overall, the service was amazing the food was good. There was live entertainment there that evening and the performance was good, however when the volume is such that you cannot have a conversation with the people at your table, it's a bit too loud. I must be turning into my parents.

The cafe is remodeled and super cute with a fair amount of seating and the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. They have walk up service where you order at the counter and I just wanted a simple iced almond latte. I waited 20 minutes for it. And I was not the only one. The young girl at the front counter finally had to go in the back to find the barista because a lot of people were waiting for drinks. It's summer so a lot of iced drinks being ordered but they were not prepared and they ran out of lids for their iced cups so were using regular cups. And the latte literally just tasted like cold almond milk. :( I was already running late for my hair appointment because of the long wait so didn't have time to go back in to get them to remake it. I will not be going back there for coffee.

This cafe is found in a quiet spot in the town of New Prague. The restaurant gives off small town vibes but their special drink flights are spectacular! This cafe actually creates 4 themed drink flights! 3 unique coffee flights - Harry Potter, Star Wars, & Peanuts, and 1 boozy Harry Potter themed flight. The presentation of these flights were gorgeous! Each one comes out in a beautiful wooden deco box with different themed Harry Potter stickers on the sides; as well a fun character toy brought to your table - we had both the Sorting Hat and Dobby. The booze flight also arrives with one drink aflame! There is a drink designed per-house. Majority of theme were delicious. The one set on fire did have a bit of an off-putting taste to it due to the flammable component drizzled over top. Besides this, the drinks were very nice. Not a fan of any of the themed flights? Don't worry, they have a regular mimosa flight for muggles as well On to the food. I chose to order the #3 From the Hen (2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns, and toast).
